Ok, so if you never had true Wagyu let me tell you get it here! I don’t usually go to Japanese restaurants but have started more recently and I’m in love with the politeness, the culture of privacy and respect it’s very pleasant. The sake was super good. Loved the atmosphere 5/5 on food, 5/5 for flavor and 5/5 for design. And it’s 6 minutes away from the San Francisco Airport.

Loved this cute little spot! The omakase sushi, tofu skin w 3 spoons, chicken karrage, and corn tempura were absolute standouts. The beef croquette was good, but not particularly special. Wonderful inviting place for something special, but you’ll leave and wanna do this regularly! Definitely going to try the full omakase menu sometime.

We ordered fried chicken skin, shishito peppers, a variety of skewers, uni nigiri (very fresh), braised pork belly, and uni toro. Also got fried oysters. Small restaurant. It was more challenging to bring kids here - menu and ambiance more suited for adults but restaurant was super nice to us. Pretty nice execution, convenient location in a strip plaza.

Two omakase dinners in 2 weeks... Lucky me! We were originally planning to mix skewer orders with sushi/sashimi, but with my son visiting for the holidays, I had another raw fish enthusiast, so we couldn't pass it up. this little strip mall is lucky to have some surprisingly good restaurants. I suspect having all those techies there at lunch time helps keep them alive.Of course, I couldn't help but compare the 2 in my mind. There were standouts on this meal: $The opener of small bites - two different preps of oysters was very good as was the ankimono. I'm not a fan of tomago, and the wagyu was cut kinda thick and barely seared which made it a little gag-yu for me.Sashimi was extraordinary, especially the salt cured maguro. I haven't much experience with salt cured sashimi, but this was a total umami bomb-i. I liked the denser texture too.Loved the chawanmushi with 2 kinds of uni plus ikura. Big chunks of crab and perfect custard textureGrilled miso sea bass. Sea bass is often too fishy for me, but the miso marinade rounded that out. Wish they had grilled the skin crispy. My son raved about it and even ate the non crispy skin I didn't eat.The crab miso was very good, and had pieces of succulent crab meat. they floated a little ikura on top. Never had it hot before. Changes the texture completely. My husband doesn't do raw, so he opted for the roasted shishito peppers with bonito flakes. Only 2 stingers in there, haha. Large portion for $9Stir fried asparagus and scallops. Nothing special here, but fresh and good, and finally the prawn and soft shell crab tempuraIt was quite crowded. I recommend a reservation for Friday dinner. Lots of families with children, so it was kind of chaotic. All the employees were busting it and very pleasant. Glad they didn't require everyone at the table to get the omakase (so many places do), but unfortunately they served all the ala carte items on my husband's order very quickly, before we were on our second course, which meant he spent most of dinner watching us eat.

Its the only sushi restaurant inside Bayhill center near the YouTube campus. Ordered the grilled squid, giant roll, double Toro roll and the omakase sashimi. All are artfully prepared with good quality & fast service. However the serving size is a bit smaller than nearby sushi joints on El Camino (so bring your wallet or do a double take if you are hungry). I say check it out.

Simple sushi and yakitori place, just wanted an appetizer for the evening. The Giants roll and grilled squid were tasty. My friends like this place for the variety of grilled items.

This place is a hidden gem - I tried it on a whim one day, not expecting much, but now it’s my favorite sushi place on the peninsula. The nigiri is excellent, perfectly seasoned - the Kamasu (barracuda, usually on the special menu) is outstanding, and I also love the Muki Hotate (scallop).
