“I love this place. The service is friendly and quick. I've been to all the locations now. My man introduced me to this place and we've been back several times. He always gets the chicken kabob plate. I've tried the mixed surf and turf plate, falafel, all the sides, the baklava, and probably more. lol. There's minimal seating indoors and a few tables outdoors. The food is always fresh and don't forget to ask for all the sauces if you like sauce. Their hot sauce is AMAZING! OH, and I love how their plates come with a grilled jalapeño. Such a nice touch! We'll be back soon!“
“Delicious Greek food and quick service!I'm convinced that Nick the Greek never misses: I've been to this location twice and the Redwood City location multiple times, and the food is always fast, the employees are nice, and the service is always speedy. Nick the Greek is a restaurant group that really cares about quality.I ordered the lamb/beef gyro plate today, which I've never had before. It was ready within minutes, and came with a smorgasbord of food: lamb/beef, rice or fries (I chose rice), tatziki, tomatoes, onions, pita bread, and a side Greek salad (lettuce, olives, onions, tomatoes, and feta). I also got a side order of falafel to share my brother. The lamb/beef was warm and juicy and the rice was warm and fluffy. The tomatoes and onions added a sweet flavor that cut through the saltiness of the meat, and the tatziki was cooling and zesty. The pita bread acted as a nice palette cleanser in between bites of everything else on the plate. The Greek side salad was refreshing. The tomatoes were juicy, the lettuce was crisp and wet, and the feta and olives on top had great contrasting flavors (creamy and salty). I would get less onions next time, though, because their flavor was a bit overpowering.I barely even got to the falafel on account of how full I was from everything else, but the one piece I had was awesome: a crispy exterior and a warm, soft interior. If you're in downtown San Mateo, come and get some great Greek food at Nick the Greek!“
“This is a superb Mediterranean restaurant in Palo Alto. The food, service, and the ambience are all very nice. For appetizers, we ordered the eggplant which was incredibly flavorful, although a bit on the heavy side. For my main dish I ordered house combo plate, which came with a combination of chicken kebab, beef kebab, lamb and beef gyros, served with rice and a salad. Surprisingly, the chicken kebab were the best ones -- just amazing flavors, although I pretty much enjoyed everything. Very polite and courteous staff -- a definite place to return to.“

“”Mediterranean Pizza & Gyro” is great! This family runned restaurant serves up wonderful, fresh, food: From ”mezze” (appetizers: hummus, baba ganoush, falafel) to wraps with various proteins: salmon, chicken, lamb/beef. Their salads are vibrant & fresh! Their specialty is “Pide” (Turkish pizza). They are baked to order straight out if the oven. Great food, great service from a proud family. Need I say more?“
“It's rare to find a place with so many outstanding reviews - all of them are more than accurate!Absolutely delicious homemade food! Go and try yourself! I can't recommend this place enough and will definitely come back! The Manti were to die for!“
“Great food and service! We went with some friends and the owners gave us samples of their delicious dips with pita bread. The spitfire chicken salad bowl was delicious. We had kalamari steaks and falafel too. Very delicious. We will definitely be back. Reasonably priced good food.“
“This was a wonderful dining experience. The atmosphere was stylish: marble topped tables and gold chairs, with subdued lighting. The food was exquisite. I started with the roasted cauliflower, made with dates, mint, and harissa tahini sauce. I ordered it because it sounded exotic, and. . . I thought I’d died and gone to heaven! I will order this again! And I followed that with the Caprese pizza (mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, and basil). It was, in a word, delicious! The crust was marvelous: soft and slightly chewy. I shouldn’t be surprised. The Turks have the best bread. I will definitely be back, but also want to try the sister restaurant, Mykonos.“
“Vegetarian / vegan wrap perfect for Good Friday. The Turkish double espresso was delicious and not gross like the bitter American roasters. I got fries, but did not realize lentil soup is on the menu. Next time. Operated by family, doesn’t get better than that.Dietary restrictions: Halal“

The attention to detail in decor, combined with the tantalizing aroma of authentic Greek cuisine, set the stage for an unforgettable dining adventure. “Dropped in on a whim, wasn’t sure what to order. The owner offered some free samples. The lamb is amazing! Some of the best I’ve ever had. He made me a lamb gyro that was 10/10. My son and I were very impressed with the service and food. We Will be dropping by again. Thank you!“
“We love this place and it is our go to place to bring all of our friends. Their wine selection is outstanding and their food is superb....the specials are so delicious, especially their drunken noodles! Check them out, I promise they never disappoint.Dietary restrictions: They pay special attention to my wife's food allergies and are meticulous about making sure she is taking care of.“
“The food is great, and they have several interesting dishes on the menu that I haven't seen at other Mediterranean places. The ambiance is pretty nice, too (it used to be super brightly lit, but they’ve since fixed that and placed small lamps on each table, which makes for a super cozy vibe)“
“Delicious food, smart presentation, good wine list. They understand proper sear on salmon.Every dish has rich flavors and textures. Really well done, so there's a lot to talk about. Many people come here on dates and it's a great place for that. The squash dessert is amazing -- not savory but not too sweet and with a lot of complexity. To top it off, the staff is friendly and the service attentive without hovering. It's the best kind of "feeling at home" -- that's hospitality.Vegetarian options: If it doesn't say it has meat, it doesn't. The Turlu is amazing, and there's a very large and diverse veg app platter.“
“This place deserve few Michelin stars ?The steak was amazing. Kudos to the chef.Don't forget to order lamb shank. It's great.Parking is paid off street and may struggle to find one. It's right in the Redwood City downtown. Ambience is good. Not a lot of seating so do call and reserve a table. Everything is made in-house. Bloody amazing taste. Definitely recommend for Fine dining.“

“For Valentine's Day we dined at Urfa Bistro and as always, we were thoroughly impressed. The meal started with warm, soft bread accompanied by a delicious olive infused dipping oil bursting with flavor. For the main course, we had the Rib Eye dish, perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection, accompanied by garden vegetables, mashed potatoes and Bearnaise sauce. Each bite was a delicious delight. The friendly staff, attentive service, cozy ambiance and rose for every female guest added to the overall experience, making it a memorable dining outing. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone craving authentic and satisfying Mediterranean cuisine. It's a fabulous restaurant.“
“Wow!! Super delicious!! Went with a group of 6 friends and everyone loved the the food!! Lots of fantastic vegetarian options. I ordered the Mjadra and we shared the Fattoush salad, tabouleh, and pickles. My friends also got the veggie combo and falafel wrap.I had a different salad which came with my mjadra and both that salad and the Fattoush salad had crazy yummy dressing. I loved them so much I asked if they sold the dressing separately to go and she said they didn't but she gave me a generous portion of each to take home with me...no charge!!“
“While in the Los Altos downtown, we were looking for a spot to eat and found this on Yelp. It was a nice find. We enjoyed the food on the hot day and sat outside under the umbrellas on the benches. I ordered a greek salad with chicken and it was very good and fresh. It came with few pieces of bread on the side. The service was great. I would recommend!“
“I was recommended to try a Mediterranean restaurant of a very similar name. Did not read carefully and ended up here. Was not disappointed at all. Friendly and quick service. Delicious food, good portions. We tried the dolmas, chicken gyro and lamb and beef gyro. Clean and bright space. Mother gave an A+ for clean bathroom. Worth a save for repeat visit!“
“My husband and I ordered Cigarette pastry for starters and Mediterranean combo for main course. It was filling for the two of us. And the service was very good too. We will be visiting again.Parking: We parked in front of the Burlingame High School and walked to the restaurant.“
“Great food! Ordered at the counter and sat for dinner. My mom enjoyed her chicken and salad. I really liked my tortellini with chicken. Foccida bread was good! Felt compelled to order a pizza to go after seeing how they were making it so fresh. SO glad we did. Marg Pizza was so good!“
“Pretty good food but plates are pretty expensive for what seems like a fast casual dining place. Paid >90 dollars for 4 plates although the plates are generous and I could have probably ordered 3. Atmosphere is alright but not commensurate with the bill, better to eat these plates at home. Polite staff.“
“We catered a meal for 100 people for a big event this past weekend, and I worked with Ashvee to make this happen. First of all, she was wonderful and super helpful. The food was ready on time, huge portions and the meal was amazing. The chicken shawarma was excellent!! We had so many people compliment the food. The falafel was delicious and the sauces (Tzatziki, Lemony Tahini Sauce and Spicy Sauce) were so good. I don't even live in PA but I am definitely making the drive down to get more of it. Thank you Ashvee and RMK - great job! Can't wait to come back.“
“We visited this place on a rainy Saturday evening and we were the only customers. We ordered Vegetarian Skewers with Pesto Sauce and Vegetarian Combo Plate. The skewers were small in portion size and it didn't come with the pesto sauce. Not the best skewers we have had but manageable. The Vegetarian Combo Plate had small portion too except the romaine lettuce. The food was fresh but we have had better falafels than these. The hummus and babagonush were tasty but had some sort of funny smell(probably from cooked meats in same kitchen). We wished portion size was bigger but may be it's because of inflation. We also had Baklava which was very sweet and all we could taste was sweet syrup. We would not order it again. This place is good for quick bites.“
