“If you are looking for a true Italian experience in San Diego, look no further than Vinarius! We worked with Giuseppe (owner) to host our wedding celebration here back in March, 2023. From the beginning, he was amazing to work with. Incredibly positive and accommodating from the start, we couldn’t have asked for more. The wedding ceremony was planned to be outside and of course, it rained that day. Guiseppe and his staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, allowed us to have the small ceremony inside the restaurant on short notice and made an incredible meal to follow. Our guests were blown away and we couldn’t have been happier. We recommend Vinarius to everyone we know and that is thanks to Giuseppe and his awesome staff. Grazie mille!”
“Freshly caught options. Minimal seating- but something opens up by the time your meal is done. Highly recommend.”
“Great food and great service! Food was fresh and expertly prepared! Probably the best service I have ever experienced and the place was busy at the time we were there!!”

“I was looking for coffee with good pastries near me in Mission Valley and Google maps led me here. I like Starbucks but wanted something different. I got a sugar free vanilla latte and a chocolate almond croissant. The coffee is delish and the croissant( from Bread and Cie) hit the spot. I had a nice chat with the lovely woman who owns the business. I can tell by her choices and her website she is offering really good quality to her customers. Give Snapshot a shot! I one I will be stopping here again.”
“Thank you for your service. The food was good and they have good prices and a great service.”
“Talk about talent. These creations not only blow your mind, but also your taste buds. I’ve first hand witnessed the time and effort it takes to create these pieces of art. Let me just say when you place an order from this company, you will not be disappointed. If you’re looking for a company that takes pride in its work, goes above and beyond the call of duty look no further. 10:10 from customer service to product.”
“I’ve been going to this store for over 20 years and the owner and employees are the sweetest kindest people! They know me by my first name and you can tell the employees that work there are treated well by the great customer service! It’s rare to find this great service today! Every product they sell is absolutely delicious. It’s a family business and I love supporting my local shops!”
“we used to ho to the porkyland in Logan heights for many years ❤ love carnitas...”
“Great service and food! I’d recommend it to anyone.”

“Normally I like to keep gems like this to myself, but walking through literal back alleys in San Diego to be introduced to this incredible Hi-Fi listening speakeasy was just too awesome and I hope everyone I love gets a chance to get on the reservation list, stat. I'm a speakeasy veteran with a coast to coast cocktail sipping resume that spans from SF to Boston and New Orleans to Chicago, and this spot has definitely landed in my top ten. The atmosphere, the staff, the tunes, and the drinks are all so special and perfectly curated for maximum delight. Every aspect of CMB is comfortable and balanced, and so very easy to enjoy. They found a great groove and kept it going.”
“Hit this place up! We got two boxes of pastries to go and they did not disappoint. Really enjoyed the ham and cheese croissants as well as the tomato danish. Scones and cookies were amazing too. Would like to go back to grab a pizza which they serve starting at 11am. The line moves quick so don’t be alarmed. It’s worth the wait!”
“Food was so good. Trinity helped my pleasant experience. I asked if the AC was on, it was weak though. Would like to try the spring roll and tamarind wings next time.”
“what a wonderful experience. they are so well cared for. beautiful cats that are so friendly and need so much love very clean and the cats have so much to climb on, play with, see and sleep. the hosts were amazing and even let me stay a bit longer. I had the best time. I'm coming bk!!!!!!”

“This is a cozy place that offers excellent food. Everything we had was excellent. The Sweet Corn and Pinion Soup, Patatas Bravas, Pork Adovada, and the New Mexico Mini Burger were all delicious. The dessert was out of this world. Chocolate Pots de Creme. Highly recommend making a reservation as this cozy place is very busy, but worth it.”

“This is absolutely the best food experience that I have had in the past three months. Atmosphere is absolutely lovely., every server in here is wonderful, however, Ethan was our server tonight. He was thoughtful, checked up on us when needed, and still managed to accommodate everybody around us. It was slammed tonight, and I saw a smile on everybody’s face, they were stuffed to the brim, and satisfied, obviously with their experience. Another thing to note, another server named Phil checked up on us as well when he noticed his server, Ethan busy. Fantastic teamwork, fantastic accommodations, all around kind atmosphere. I will be coming back here for sure! This was wonderful!”
“Walked in last night and had the best pasta I’ve had in a while. I’ll be thinking about that pappardelle. Excellent portions and service.”

“Fabulous food served in a no-frills, casual atmosphere. The service was excellent and Chef Luciano Cibelli comes out of the kitchen and checks with every table to see how diners are doing. Great place to celebrate a special occasion. We enjoyed the seafood fettucini, chicken parmesian, and the catch of the day, which was sea bass on a bed of roasted vegetables, with beet purée and a delicious beurre blanc. Delish!”
“Taste of Denmark is an absolute 10/10! From the moment we stepped in, we felt completely welcomed—the owner was incredibly friendly and took the time to walk us through authentic Danish cuisine.
We started with a simple appetizer that was insanely delicious, then shared three open-face sandwiches: the herring, pork, and roast beef. I’ve literally been dreaming about those sandwiches every day since.
We finished with fresh, out-of-the-oven Danishes—absolute chef’s kiss. 100/10, do not skip this place!”
“We came here last night to celebrate my wife's birthday with our son, and the three of us had an absolutely wonderful dinner. The food was completely off the charts, and the service was excellent. We will definitely be back! Much Thanks to Kendra, Chef Tony and the entire staff!”
“We recently hosted a company event at Garibaldi inside the InterContinental, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish.
M.J., the Restaurant Catering Sales Manager, was incredibly helpful throughout the entire planning process. He accommodated our request for a U-shaped meeting setup, coordinated seamlessly with Encore for our AV needs, and helped us plan the food and beverage service for both lunch and our afternoon snack break. He was proactive, responsive, and made sure every detail was handled.
On the day of the event, M.J. went above and beyond by creating signage so our attendees could easily find the meeting space. He also made sure our lunch presentation on the terrace looked absolutely beautiful and inviting. The terrace lunch setting was a wonderful bonus and added to the overall experience.
Ryan was also a tremendous help on the day of the event. After some of our printed materials were damaged by water, he quickly helped us reprint everything and kept us on track throughout the meeting. He also coordinated with the front desk to arrange a birthday surprise for our CEO that included a cake with lit candles. This thoughtful gesture exceeded our expectations and made the celebration extra special.
Overall, the venue, service, and attention to detail were exceptional. Our entire team had a great experience, and we would absolutely host another event here in the future.”
“Our server Cam was awesome and food was great! Got to try it. Great dumplings!!!”
“Fantastic fresh food; great sushi bar. Wonderful service from Kaz. I highly recommend..best sushi and sashimi around!”

So glad jordan is still working there, he is so delightful and and friendly, he is definitely a keeper. So glad exmanager jose is gone,. What a scan. K sorry about Diane's passing, I really liked her. Keep up the good work. Spinach omelette for awesome, wow.”
“Pics speak for themselves. I got big hands. Yea I eat at my desk. Get food here.
Pro tip : ham breakfast burrito is priced too low and sooooo good.
Lady at the counter is super nice. Cook is a major bro who has offered me to start food early while super nice lady was busy in the back.”
“I’ve been going to lestats since I was just a child really. I haven’t been since 2018 maybe when we moved. But I can tell you I’ve known horrible humans in my life not by choice. But fate led me to John a sweet gay man who ran a 24/7 coffee house. And I’ve loved coffee since age 5. When times were hard a lonely girl could get a hot cup of coffee and use the wifi even and hang out. John took in many of us. I was one of the pre 98-2006 post crew that practically lived here. Idk why John never charged us rent he truly should’ve! Hell he probably could’ve for our cars even. I was pregnant here. They fed me when I was hungry. They kept us warm in the cold months. Lestats was always a shelter in the storm we call life. I was but a passenger for a while. John let me park my Honda accord out back for some time when an alternator wasn’t the only problem even. When I think of angels and I think of gods I think of folks like John. They gave us life without even knowing it. My daughters 20 this year and we’re both alive because of John’s goodness and kindness he has a huge heart most have no clue. He’s just the sweetest man. He was a woven interact part of my life. He’s one of those people who is why I am here today. Because when I needed a safe place in the storm we call life. I could lean on Lestats and John. Whom I knew well. To think my neighbor would lead me here he worked there eventually and was a lady’s man 😂 Travis was his name and I laugh cuz I knew that boy from just a little boy. To see him become a man and even a dad around when I was a mom. Seemed then something was surely in the water 😂 or so we’d all joked. Maybe it was just knowing we had a safe place to land for awhile that truly helped us all survive. But a huge part of that was John! So thank you John. Idk if you remember me or not. But I was that blonde girl with short hair and a damaged heart. 90s-2006 was my life there then I’d come when I was in town very rare then. But I always loved your veggie chili and your sandwiches. And the coffee ☕️ gosh if I miss anything from San Diego it’s Lestats and their amazing teas and coffee and food. Because when I had no home even I always had a safe place to go when the storm of life was crushing me. I met a boy in 2006 and disappeared really. But John was always like family for me. So I wanna thank him for being the light in the dark for a young street kid. Who didn’t have much but I always had enough for a cup of coffee and some safe space to enjoy it. I know it’s been 20 yrs because my baby is 20 now. But we wouldn’t be here without John. Thank you for being a safe place for us in life’s storms.”
“My pup Gremlin just got his first treat box, and he loves it!! There was a slight delay in shipping, but when I mentioned this to customer service, they immediately took action and made sure that my pup had his box the next day!! The box is specially made to entice pups to rip it open themselves, which is awesome! Gremlin got right to work and I had to stop him from ripping open the treats, too! Puppy approved! My picky boy loves all the healthy snax he got!”
“Let it be in the record that I told the owner Hector that the food they serve was delicious prior to learning he was the owner 👍
The people at this establishment have been nothing but good to me and I am pleasantly surprised by how well this establishment is kept when I randomly visited this restaurant. I walked in and the design of the interior and building overall appears to be the combined work of people who put thought into basically every aspect of the layout and maintain them to high standards.
When I say the food is good, I mean the preparation is reliably delicious no matter if you are ordering tacos, burritos, plates, chicken fries, or custom orders.
Folks working in this place have good reason to be proud of their work and performance. Customer service is stellar! Excellent find.
Thank you.”
“Cifredo and the staff at this location are always welcoming, and this is probably my favorite subway ever. The hours are amazing (as someone who works nights) and I always meet the coolest people here at like 2am. I wish every subway was like this one.
Appreciate y’all! Thanks for all the great food!”
“They met all the basics for an enjoyable dining experience. 1) the server, Ray, was as nice and friendly as can be. Great customer service. 2) the food was fast and accurate. Asked for eggs over medium and that is what I got. Food was hot and plated well. 3) coffee was hot and fresh. 4) place was clean 5) atmosphere was nice.”

“I was nervous about the flavors, mostly because I didn’t know what they were! But was able to taste test and decided on the Quattroberry and stracciatella. Delicious! Great price- $6.50 for two big scoops! Definitely wanted to go back. Try the dragon fruit/lemon one- super tart and so good!”
“On July 8, 2025 my family & I finally made it to Ironside. It was so much more than I could have imagined. Back story...My brother had been raving about this great restaurant called Ironside w/fresh oysters, great champagne, and incredible cocktails since Sept of 22. My family and I live in AK, and he was so excited to share it with us. We tried to visit each other often, but somehow by the end of every trip to CA, after cramming in as much as we could, my family would head back to AK and my brother and I would promise each other we would make it to Ironside on my next visit. For us though, sadly there wouldn't be a "next visit" with my brother. In the early morning hours of May 22, 2025, I lost my brother (and friends) in a plane crash in San Diego. When something like this happens, there is so much that goes through your head. Amongst thousands of other things, you constantly think about the memories you wont get to make, and the experiences you will never get to have w/your favorite person/people. You lose them daily, again, and again, and again w/each experience the person doesn't get to be a part of... and a visit to one of his favorite restaurants, would just be another example of something we wouldn't get to do with my brother... Fast forward to July of 2025. We traveled back to CA to attend his and several of our friends memorial services. Before heading back to AK, my husband, kids, my cousin, and I decided that we couldn't leave again without trying Ironside. It took hours to get us there emotionally, but we pulled ourselves together, and even came prepped with my brother's favorite menu and drink items to try. He had fantastic taste, so we knew we would enjoy his suggestions! We arrived, put our names on the list, and after about a 15 minute wait we were led us to our seats. We were quickly greeted by our server who gave us our menus/drink menus and said she would be back right away to take our order.... So far so good. We were holding ourselves together, but still wearing sunglasses indoors, much like someone does when they have been crying for a month and a half. Although we had rehearsed what we were ordering, the moment my cousin and I tried to order his favorite drinks water began pouring from our faces. It wasn't a loud dramatic cry, just grief bubbling up like a gieser that couldn't be stopped This was NOT what we wanted. We didn't want to explain ourselves, and we certainly weren't ready to use the words died, or plane crash.... but we did it. We told her why we were there, and she was nothing short of amazing. She and her coworker (a gentleman) treated my family with unwavering kindness and compassion. They listened to why we were there, gave us additional suggestions, wrote down my brothers favorite items, and checked on us often. They asked questions about us, about my brother, they listened, and we all laughed through our tears. They weren't uncomfortable with our grief or pain, and they didn't make US feel uncomfortable for feeling what we were feeling outloud, and in public. When we were ready to go, I asked them if I could buy one of each of the cups from my brother's two favorite drinks. The gentleman told me they didn't sell them, but after checking with a manager, they brought them back to me, boxed up, and told me they wanted us to have them. They also gave us one of their old plates that says "Ironside". It has a small chip over the letter d... and my brother's name starts with a D. I like to believe it was him, telling us he was with us for our dinner after all. We tried everything my brother loved! Just as he suggested, it was all amazing. The food was delicious, the drinks were complex and perfectly balanced, and the service... the service was nothing short of healing. I know this review isn't just about the food. This place is a triple threat. The food was great, the drinks were amazing, and the people are incredible. The people helped my family through one of the hardest days o”
“Had an amazing dinner at Rare Society. The steak was cooked perfectly, the sides were great, and the atmosphere made it a really special night. Shoutout to the cool bartender too great service and good energy all night. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to.”
“One of our favorite spots in the city! The service= especially our server Grace- was topnotch. And the food is outstanding. We truly appreciate how well we were taken care of. Thanks, Elvira!”
“We recently tried The Fishery - it was delicious! Great atmosphere and the service is great! The portions are decent. The food is excellent!!”

“Came in solo around 6:30pm and was able to grab a seat at the bar. They have a rotational menu based on locally sourced ingredient availability. Ordered the daily oysters (which were fantastic) and the grilled sea bass.
The service here is probably some of the most friendly/best I’ve experienced before. My sea bass was undercooked & the bartender went to check with the chef. She confirmed that was the case and asked to make sure I’d like them to remake it. While waiting, the hostess also came over to apologize and checked in to see if I needed anything else. The new fish came back much better, however I felt like the sauce was a little too salty and acidic to my taste (both times). Based on my experience I feel like they are the type of business to make things right if you are not satisfied
Looking at other reviews I think this would be a great place for drinks & apps.
Overall beautiful place, great service and would probably recommend going for oyster hour 4pm-5pm to ease the hefty price tag”
“Hey I just want to say the Luna grill down in Carmel valley was amazing and I want to give a special thank you to Athena for helping me out with my order she was polite and made sure i got everything I needed I recommend anyone that loves Mediterranean food check out this location 2 thumbs up will be back”
“as I walked in, I noticed the cleanliness of the restaurant. Then the visual menu helped me with what I wanted to order. The ambiance is perfect! The assistant from the young man was awesome! The food!!! MashaAllah! It is Soo good. I love spicy 🌶️ The chili naan. mmmmm”
“I attended Juniper & Ivy for a small post-wedding reception. The space was nice and sectioned off from the rest of the restaurant, although it was loud at times because it’s separated by a curtain. It did still feel private, which was great. Although I was the photographer at this wedding, the staff was still super nice and was able to get me a vegetarian meal. They also let the couple bring in their own cakes, which was great! I’d recommend this spot for a smaller reception for sure.”
“Visiting from nyc and we haven’t found a good pho place. The short rib pho definitely satisfied my Vietnamese food cravings. Our server Olivia was very sweet and kind!”
Fine Dining
“Absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. Everyone was so friendly, kind, and welcoming, and you could tell how much care went into every single course. The food was honestly indescribable!!!! Every bite somehow got better and better. The quality, flavors, presentation, everything was just amazing. One of those meals you’re still thinking about after you leave. We will 100% be back!”
“Overall a great omakase experience. Nice combo of both tasty traditional sushi (loved the chutoro and aji) as well as some fun courses (tartare puff and chawanmushi were great). Chefs are friendly and service was attentive. Definitely a pricy experience, but given the creativity and quality it is worth it.”
“Dining at Addison is an experience I recommend as something everyone should enjoy at least once! The food is unlike anything I’ve ever enjoyed before paired with service that is second to none! Chef Bradly and his entire team are warm and welcoming in a way that makes you feel like you’re the only person in a restaurant full of people. I cannot wait to go back! Until next time!”
“We are from “the beef capital” of Australia and discovered The Lion’s Share during SDCC 2023. My husband has very high standards when it comes to meat (his family owned a cattle property) and he could not fault a single dish. We tried camel sausage for the first time and were amazed at the flavor. Every dish was delicious, and make sure you try the brussel sprouts. A restaurant that specializes under exotic meats that can make brussel sprouts that delicious is doing something right! It is our must visit restaurant when we visit San Diego”
“Legitimately inedible. I hate posting this, because we were excited to be here. Cocktails were decent (solid at best), but food has been inedible or forcibly eaten as we just want to leave and don't want to ask them to remake it. The beef was cold and the potato was the worst latke I've ever eaten. The surprise guava on the creme brulee was tough and similarly inedible. Will stop at in n out for a half decent meal on the way home.”
“Wonderful place for a special occasion. The food was delicious. Everything we ordered was good. I like that they will split the soup or salad order between the two of you so you don't have too. Of course it's a bit pricey however the portions are large. The birthday recognition was top notch. They had decorated the table with rose pedals and a card. And the birthday special dessert was delicious and plenty to share. This will definitely be in the rotation for fancy special occasion dinners.”
“Amazing place, beautiful experience with magnificent food.
People who work there are really knowledgeable and kind.
The food is DELICIOUS and affordable!!!
Delicate food with sake pairing makes the experience unique. A must try. I don't usually drink but the glass of sake served with the meal made the difference.
100% recommend.”
“Such a cool spot! Drinks were unique and tasty. Amadeus was wonderful, welcoming, and attentive! He was super informative and gave great recommendations as it was our first time. Will definitely come back and bring friends and family.”
Cheap Eats
“Ok, I am from NY and love pizza. I am not a NYC pizza snob though and welcome all iterations of 'za! I have to say that this pizza is probably the best I have ever had of its type. They are "Roman" slices, meaning focaccia crust. Variety of slice options are insane with creative combinations that are not only imaginative, but insanely delicious. Slices are cooked upon ordering for supreme freshness. I especially like the Lussuria - prosciutto, black pepper, mashed potato, mozzarella and olive oil. (I NEVER thought I would like mashed potato on a slice, but it's insanely good.) The help here is amazing as well. Caesar was working the oven and he gave great suggestions and explained the product well. Very inviting and definitely steered me in the right direction. Need gluten free? They got it! Will make a GF slice for you right on the spot. I challenge anyone to have just one slice. I had to go back for 2 more. Enjoy!”
“Spent several enjoyable hours at New English Brewery this afternoon. Actually, came here because of wanting to try out “The Craft Taco Truck.” They didn’t disappoint! The guys were friendly, the food was great! Visually appealing and delicious. Highly recommend you seek them out and enjoy an afternoon with them! We’ll definitely be back.”
“YUMmmmmmmm & thank you!!! Burnt out single mama here, that has prepared way too many meals for myself and my son 😅 & needed something wholesome! The avocado burger & fries wow, & the quinoa avocado bowl with beets, pickled onions, cabbage & some kind of yummy sauce de-fu€king- licious! 🙌💛🙌”
“Just tried the falafel sandwich from Falafel California and it did not disappoint! The bread was perfectly grilled and crispy with a nice toasted flavor, wrapped tight and packed with flavor. It came with three different sauces (garlic, spicy red, and a mild white sauce) — each one added something different and paired really well with the sandwich.
Everything was neat and well packaged too. Great quality for the price. Will definitely be ordering again and highly recommend it to anyone in the area.”
“Honestly, such a good experience! The food was really good and had so much flavor, and everything came out fresh. The staff was really nice and welcoming too. Definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for good Indian food. I’ll definitely be coming back!”
“This amazing pastry shop was located near our hotel, and we came here for breakfast. It was fantastic! It got quite busy around 8 a.m. on a weekday, but we managed to snag a cozy outdoor seat. The croissants looked amazing, flaky, buttery, and perfectly baked. My partner and I shared the Filled Kouign amann, and I wish we had ordered more because they were that good. Unfortunately, the tempting Little Italy eateries were calling, so we kept it light. Still, it’s a very cute coffee and pastry shop I’d love to return to.”

“Taiwanese hot pot, you choose the ingredients and the broth, they promptly cook it for you. If you appreciate deep soup flavors, and love meat, you can eat here for $15-20 per person. Simple atmosphere, basic service. 5 stars because it’s delicious.”
“Comedically and unnecessarily large menu considering many of the items are slight variations of others or the same items with different protein options. The Helen Korean scallion pancakes were my favorite as well as their desserts but everything was tasty and I would love to come back many times to try more.”
“Great place, great food, service is excellent, everybody is having a good time and it shows, this place is a must in SD, whether you go as a couple or with friends, definitely recommended!!!”
“If you are looking for authentic Lebanese cuisine, this is your place. We drove from Coronado Island and would do it again. The house dessert is exceptional. Be sure to try it!”

“Great space and good beers. Always good for that sunset on the patio.”
“Absolutely amazing atmosphere, 10/10 service, and bomb drinks. What more could you want. Easily one of the best tiki bars period.”
“The Last Meal of the San Diego Stay at My Favorite Dinner Spot. Its Downtown Little Italy. Great 10/10 Service. Bar Staff Outstanding. Overall Service. DESTINATION SPOT.”
“The beef noodle soup was super delicious and was enough to feed me and my mother. It contained tone of meat which was really tender and the broth was overall phenomenal. The popcorn chicken was also really good as it wasn’t too big and served as a great snack I would highly recommend coming here.”
“Such a wonderful vegan oasis in the San Fernando Valley! As locals know vegan offerings in the valley are limited compared with the rest of the city. I am so happy that I found this place I will be coming here often! Great food and atmosphere all around!”
“Great spot for Chinese BBQ skewers. Highlights for us were the lamb skewers, chicken wings skewers & the cucumber/garlic salad starter. Great bang for your buck, well priced for the quality food on offer.”
“Hands-down, the best meal I have had in a long time! The food is so authentic and delicious. The service is impeccable. The cocktails are delightful. I cannot wait to come back!!”
“Just went for the first time at Shabu Works!! Absolutely loved it… can’t wait to go back 😋”
“Had an amazing dinner at Rare Society. The steak was cooked perfectly, the sides were great, and the atmosphere made it a really special night. Shoutout to the cool bartender too great service and good energy all night. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to.”
“Wow, such great food and awesome service! Had the lobster roll and it was quality lobster and overflowing with actual meat. Everything was delicious.”
“We had a great dining experience at Urban Plates in Long Beach. Mariana explained the menu choices in a very unrushed manner, and we decided on the steak. I ordered the Chimichurri grass-fed steak with balsamic brussel sprouts and herb-roasted potatoes. All of it was delicious ( and healthy too!). The deserts were absolutely killer too. We will definitely eat here again next time we're in Long Beach.”
“Just one night in Old Town and we found this Venezuelan gem for breakfast! Highly recommend! Now Congress Cafe”
“This was our 1st anniversary in November, 1991. This is the first booth inside the door, our favorite. In the several years before meeting Patti, I had taken more than a few dates to Baci’s. Why go there? The food, the service, the personal interaction with staff. Talking to the owner once, I discovered he was neighbors with my roommates brother. We left San Diego in 1992 but winter there since retiring and visit Baci’s every year. So happy they’re still going strong.”
“What a great experience. I love Luna gril and this location is the best. Thank you to Mike and his team for the wonderful service and the food quick and ready. I don’t like showing up close to closing but I was desperate for some food and asked if it was too late to order and my order was still taken and I was treated very well. Much appreciation!!”
“Really enjoyed our first visit to Parkhouse. Definitely coming back. Food and drinks were delicious. The service was exceptional”
“The most scrumptious artichoke arugula, Parmesan shavings salad that I split with my husband. Huge portion. Wonderful Chilean Seabass with black squid linguine. I like it with marinara and they accommodate. My husband had a wonderful pasta Bolognese. We topped it off with an incredible tasting lemoncello cake and two decaf cappuccinos. What a meal! Phenomenal restaurant great chef, lovely service great ambience.”
“I snapped a quick photo of my bowl right as it hit the table, relying on the app that tracks my macros to find this spot. It pulled up this exact dish when I was in a rush for lunch, and honestly, the portion was legit—plenty of protein and everything I needed to hit my goals. The noodles were cooked perfectly, and those fresh, crunchy cucumber strips added a great texture. The place is super efficient and kept things moving while I grabbed a quick bite.”
“Thoroughly enjoyed everything from the atmosphere, quality of food and service. I’ve been a couple times now and every single dish has been exceptional. Great date night or group dinner location!”
“Spending my evening at a new restaurant in South Park called Il Posto. So far everything I’ve tried is spectacular.”
“Everything was incredible! Kika, our server, was so kind and helpful. I am celiac and she guided me through what would work for me! The food was delicious. We loved the vibe and greatly enjoyed our visit! 100% worth a visit!”
“You can feel the chef in the sauces and the finish of each dish… a true dedication to what the first bite can do for the experience of fine dining and the cuisine… bravo”
“The only downside is the hired help, Ryan Bradford telling people they deserve to be killed (lynched, was his exact words) when he's posting on social media.”
“2nd visit and again food and service were great. only complaint was they cleared my dessert when I wasn't finished without asking. took that as hint to leave.”
“This was the BEST sushi we have ever had. The entire experience was so wonderful. We left feeling relaxed and happy. Highly recommend this place and the staff were all fantastic and very attentive.”
“Great experience. 5 years ago I stopped there for a meal and talked to the owner. What an artist and poet! Good food, too!”
“First time since switching to the menu, and it remains an outstanding experience. The menu items give freedom to do some more planning (particularly enjoyed the shaved cucumber ice in my drink, for example) and you can still talk through what you want for the second course. The customers are fun, and Francesca and Austin were on point behind the bar”
“Great chefs, great staff, great food, great sake… what’s not to like when everything was great!?!?”
“The best dining event in a long while. Food is terrific and the beer is literally ice cold. The owner is delightful! Please visit cause it is a treat.”
“Service and ambiance, exceptional service and night life… live dj, good musical and still able to have conversation”
“I had the pleasure of dining with my son and daughter in law the day after Christmas. The food was superb and the service was fantastic. Shout out to Mario. We really enjoyed the Tuna sampler, the artichoke confit and the roasted leeks. My daughter in law loved the pork chop too. The goat cheese cheesecake with pomegranate was a perfect end to a perfect experience. Thank you!!”
“My roommate and I have been coming here for a while, it's easily one of our favorite regular spots. The atmosphere is stylish and gives off great vibes and always feels welcoming. The food is always fresh coming from local California farms. The drink menu is solid with all of the staples and some with added twists. The owners Chris and Jenn are amazing, they and their staff are always kind and provide incredible service. Other points to consider are the burger of the month, a rotating culinary delight often themed and always delicious, and the establishment holds many different events from art shows, drink and paint, trivia and so many others. Honestly, it's always a great place with friendly people. Chris and Jenn are leaders in the community and work to not only provide delicious food, and a great experience but also work hard to make the community better. Would recommend, and do recommend to everyone and anyone. 5/5 stars.”
“Wonderful ambiance and even our great VP of the US came to eat there. Compliments 👏 🙌 Sashimi and homemade ice cream 😊”
“Great service! Great price ! They were super professional and the food was delicious. I recommend them for any party or event you are hosting. We will keep them in mind for future events.”
“From the moment you walk in, Flora greets you with a smile. My server Lizzy, was great and kind. The cooks deserve praise for a fast, tasty food experience. And last, but not least, Tony, the floor manager made it all come together. Thanks, folks.”
“Very friendly and professional staff . Five star ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️”

“The OFF SHORE TAVERN AND GRILL located on Morena Blvd in Bayshore San Diego is very good place. All of the staff are exceptional. MGRs have welcomed me & all others since day one and continue to provide fantastic service. Doug & Dan just could not try harder to make this establishment succeed any better. Them and all the servers could receive a higher rating as personable and attentive people. They ALL make Everybody welcome . Major Kudos to Doug, Dan, Ramy and ALL of the crew”
“Always GREAT service, food and clean dining area. Lots of options, food is created right in front of you, so piping hot when served. Very friendly environment”
“There was a time when this was my “go to”place for Italian food. Unfortunately after the first owners sold (back in the 80’s or 90’s I think) they went to a “conveyor oven” for cooking pizza. The people who bought Etna’s owned several other Italian restaurants around town and seemed to be successful. Unfortunately they took out a couple of “deck ovens” to streamline the kitchen, like their other restaurants, and quit cooking pizza in those ovens. What they didn’t understand was the pizza bread used to make Etna’s unique pizza was formulated to be cooked in a deck oven. It’s like the difference between a grilled cheese sandwich and a toasted cheese sandwich… it’s just not the same. The caramelization of the sugars in the dough enhanced the overall texture and taste of the pizza when cooked in a deck oven. I’ve lived in San Diego my whole life and have been going to Etna’s since 1976. Etna’s Pizza dough seemed to be the same when the new owners took over and when they changed the way they cooked it ruined the original flavor. I quit going as often as I used to and eventually after several owners later and never going back to using deck ovens the writing was on the wall. The last owners and employees were rude and unattentive. I was hoping they would return to using deck ovens for their pizza but they did not. I tried to explain the reasoning but was rebuffed. So now another San Diego institution has passed into history. The late night (open til 3:00am) seven days a week only Italian restaurant way back when is gone. It’s a shame this new generation will never know the flavors and history of some of these old and iconic family owned and operated businesses.”
“Tired of the same old dining experience? Craving a symphony of flavors that dance on your taste buds? Look no further than Sattvik Foods, where every meal is a standing ovation for your senses. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with the warm, aromatic embrace of spices that promises a culinary adventure. The decor? A tasteful blend of modern chic and traditional charm—think Bollywood meets Broadway. Now, let's talk food. All curries here are so velvety smooth. The Samosas are crisp little parcels of joy, hiding spiced potatoes and peas that pack a punch. And the service? Impeccable. The staff navigates the bustling dining room with the grace of seasoned performers, ensuring your glass is never empty and your plate is always full. Whether you're a spice novice or a seasoned curry connoisseur, Sattvik Foods' consistently scrumptious offerings will have you singing its praises. Just be prepared to book your encore performance—you'll definitely want to return for an encore!”
“Best nitro cold brew I've found in San Diego. DropKick has genuinely spoiled me for other canned cold brews. The nitro pour is the whole show — they infuse nitrogen into every can before sealing it, which gives the coffee a thick, creamy texture without any milk or sugar added. Shake it hard, crack it slow, and you get that cascading nitro pour right out of the can, no keg required. I've worked through most of the lineup — Original, Vanilla with Maple, Cinnamon Turmeric, Bold Brew, and Horchata — and Bold Brew is my go-to when I need an actual jolt (340 mg of caffeine per can vs. 220 mg in the rest of the lineup). Horchata is the one I hand to friends who claim they "don't really like coffee" — it converts them every time. What sold me beyond the taste: it's actually roasted, brewed, canned, and kegged locally here in San Diego. If you're grabbing a can, keep it cold and give it a solid shake before opening — that's what activates the nitro. Highly recommend for anyone who wants coffeehouse-quality cold brew without leaving the fridge.”
“Players Sports Bar and Grill on Kearny Villa Rd is the BEST sports bar I've been to in a long time! Great vibe, delicious food at great prices, friendly staff and clean diamond pool tables. Wings and Pizza were outstanding, and Breakfast on the weekends is to die for!! This is easily the BEST spot I've been t in a long time. Highly recommend-I'll definitely be back Saturday for College Football and Breakfast!!”

“I am late to reviewing and forgetting the servers name. She was from Maryland, and the reason we ordered more than just a pick me up coffee before the Japanese Friendship Gardens. Our server (delightful as can be and a great conversation partner) encouraged us to try the Spicy Calamari and Aquachile. It's not the best flavor pairings with coffee. So, stick with a bubbly libation when ordering these delightful dishes. The flavors, however, are divine. Fresh ingredients that remain high quality! We enjoyed a table overlooking the gardens and lucked into it without a reservation. Although, I recommend reserving in advance for optimal seating and table assurance.”
“As a professional DJ, photographer, and videographer, I love working at Tom Ham's Lighthouse. The panoramic views of San Diego Bay provide a stunning backdrop for wedding photos and videos, and the natural light enhances every image. DJs will appreciate the superior acoustics. The staff is always helpful and accommodating, making the experience seamless for vendors and bringing the couple’s vision to life effortlessly.”

“Take a date! Take a friend! Hell, go alone if you want!
This place is the most perfect convergence of awesome things all mingled into one: A lounge, a bar, an awesome restaurant, a relaxing poolside hangout, a motel, a theater, a California-to-the-core vibe, a wonderfully comfy and swanky mid-century gem, suitable for young and old alike. And best of all. it's NOT pretentious!
To me, this is the sort of place that truly gives San Diego its well warranted identity.”
“POV: You came for coffee and accidentally found a personality trait.
Ko’s has me in a chokehold. The coffee is incredible, the iced matcha is undefeated, the strawberry matcha scone deserves its own fan club, and the smoked salmon toast? Zero notes.
The owners are the real secret ingredient though. They’re kind, efficient, and funny. Good food, good coffee, good people. That’s how you create a cult following.”

“The split scoop is such a good deal! First time I came here, I got the hojicha and boricha - such a good combo. Obsessed.
Came back a week later to get the boricha again, but this time it tasted a little sweeter and icier. Maybe it was just off that day, but I'll def still be back!”
“i had a very good experince today at Sonnys Pizza in San Diego. They have excellent service and their food is top-tier and homemade. Kezi was our server, he was very kind and even helped us with recommending activities for our day. overall, had a great experience definitely recommend and definitely will be back.”
“Salmon Kama was perfectly grilled. Really fatty and delicious. This place is underrated. Prices are great. Ingredients are super fresh. We also had the lemon glow and spicy tuna rolls and both were amazing. There was great service and good vibes all around. There was easy reggae playing and everyone was chatting and having a good afternoon! I know this restaurant is new, but I hope it becomes a mainstay in Hillcrest- it’s super good! If you don’t drink like us, you can have a multiple course meal for $30 per person 🤙”
“This is a nice place with nice people but the baked items are so bland. We tried 6 different items and while the quality was there the flavor was lacking in a major way.
For example their double chocolate croissant barely tasted chocolately.
The strawberry ricotta Danish was overwhelmingly full of strawberries to the point that it was all you could taste.
The beef supreme tasted so bland we had to add hot sauce.”
“We had a great dining experience at Urban Plates in Long Beach. Mariana explained the menu choices in a very unrushed manner, and we decided on the steak. “Been here twice now and my opinion of this place only grows. Kinchana is as committed to the community as they are making great burgers. They created a place where people can come hangout while they eat rather than turn tables and you feel that immediately when you walk in. Do not sleep on the curry fries and the oyama burger, it’s 100% fire.”

“Always love coming here. Food and service are consistent. Cute vibe. It was just the place where I wanted to have my birthday breakfast. 🥞 And our server was so kind to let us sit forever and also treated us to churro sticks for my bday. Thank you 😊!”
