We have always loved Bernini's! Every time we come here the service is always wonderful and it's a great experience with the best food! We really love their breakfasts too, haven't had for a while because the timing hasn't been right. We'll be back soon. I miss the lemon ricotta pancakes!

Last night was our first meal at Bernini's. We were delighted by the service, food and value. It has a strong family-oned vibe and it seemed like many of the customers ere regulars. Not at all like many La Jolla tourist spots. Bernini's is a mid-priced restaurant with top-tier service and food. The garlic bread (actually pizza dough with garlic and parmesan) was delicious and very generously sized. (So much so that we offered some to the adjoining table!). I had the special blue-fin tuna on wasabi mashed potatoes, which was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. (And large enough for two meals.) My husband had the salmon, which he was very pleased with. We had a very reasonably priced bottle of top-shelf Caymus cab. As I told our server, Bernini's is my new favorite restaurant. We'll definitely be back.

I was "celebrating" my half-birthday--and my last special meal before going to the hospital. Initial welcome and service was excellent, but the place rapidly filled with larger parties. I became a distraction. Others became very loud. My sweet walnut salad and cheese ravioli were superb. Service fell off to the point that I wasn't even asked if I wanted dessert. They wanted the four-top table I had been assigned to seat larger parties on what had turned out to be a rainy night with no one wanting to be outside. I'll be going back, but the special meal wasn't as great as others have been before.

Family brought us here. Met the lovely welcoming owner. Trueblood italian here with many delicious tastes of Italy under my ever expanding belt, and I have to say the sauce (sorry Mom...gravy) was fresh tasting not too sweet...just right. Meatballs were perfectly seasoned and like velvet! Pizza was fantastic - crust was crunchy but not dry and the ingredients were clearly top tier. Superb ambiance, attentive service - can say enough great things! Well done Bernini!

We go to Bernini's often and I felt I should do a review. this is a great restaurant and has been in La Jolla a long time. Last night again we had a great night. the burrata is incredible- very worth it. Karen , our waitress, elevated the experience with her warmth and sense of humor. she's wonderful. finally the food was excellent. the salmon and fettuccine nero tasted perfect. highly recommend

1000/1000 review!The owners of this restaurant and their staff are extremely honest, genuine and kindhearted. They are a true rarity in this world and deserve nothing but the absolute best.I accidentally left a small bag at their restaurant two days ago. The bag contained cut gemstones, gold jewelry, and a large diamond. The workers found the bag, kept it safe for two days and the owners ended up hand delivering it to a relative of mine that lives close by.I am blown away by the service and dedication of this restaurant.The food was also amazing! I tried quite a few of their dishes and everything was delicious. I really loved the calamari, crab cakes and short rib entree!Thank you all so much.
