BEWARE!!!! I hate to write this for multiple reasons, but unfortunately I have to share our experience here. We ordered chicken cordon bleu and received not just an undercooked piece of chicken but literally a RAW piece of chicken that clearly was not even checked for proper cooking temperature before being served. The chicken was obviously covered in breading so it was hard to see in the low lighting ambience that this place has, but once we cut into it, there was raw meat just sitting there like it just came out of the fridge. If you don't mind risking an experience of consuming raw chicken and potentially spending the following week glued to a toilet seat then by all means head down and check this place out! After showing this piece of raw chicken to our server, she was devastated, did all she could to make it right by taking it back to the kitchen and presumably the manager as well. While she was very nice and apologetic about it, the manager Fredo who was on duty tonight, didn't even bother to come out and apologize or take any blame for it, but instead made our poor server apologize on the staffs behalf. Clearly shows that Fredo couldn't care any less about his customers well being after consuming RAW poultry. Can't say I'll ever give this place another try and would recommend all others to steer clear as well unless you enjoy spending an abundance of time hanging around the big stall for days!!!

Carvers is one of our favorite restaurants It is a hidden secret near Von's in Rancho Bernardo. My husband lives the pork Chops & I love the filets or the Prime Rib. In the bar, they have weekend musics & they make a great burger

Casually elegant old fashioned decor, low lighting is nice, beautifully prepared Filet Mignon, go for the garlic bread, well balanced wine list, lovely service.

Delicious

Usually pretty great at Carvers. Service was fair at best. Servers pleasant but rarely saw them, had to ask for things 3-4 times. Food at restaurant was very good. Take home was awful! Very disappointed, been coming here for years & it's never been like this. Give them one more shot, if this bad again, will go elsewhere.

Good old fashioned steak and chop house with all the traditional fixings. The place fills up, so I'd get there early or make a reservation if you aren't keen on waiting.

Had a nice evening celebrating my son's 30th birthday. Service was quick and attentive. Food was great, particularly the steaks and prime rib. Our server was very friendly and ensured we had everything we needed.

I was seated in the main room late this Sunday evening. Waitress name is Cheyenne Food: I ordered the Cheesy Garlic Bread as my Appetizer. For my entree I choose the Prime Rib - 10oz Cut with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and the Clam Chowder. The Prime Rib was tender and well cooked. The creamed horseradish was just right for me. Made me wince ever so slightly. Perfect! The soup was the right temperature. I added the cracked black pepper. Lovely. I enjoyed the Cheesy Garlic Bread. I ordered the cheesecake with Strawberry glaze. At the time of posting, was too full to have sampled dessert yet. Ambiance/Atmosphere: In the main eating area there is a hearth and fireplace. Nice decor. The area has low lighting with candles on the table (real flame), with a light over most tables. Nice. In the attached eating space, there are LED's lighting the room. Very nice. There is instrumental music playing. A bit louder than it should be, I think. But nice compared to nothing playing. Hold My Hand by Stanley Black. Service: Cheyenne did a great job taking care of me. Chris, a busboy caught my attention as he works very hard. Observed him breaking down tables. He is who sat me. Told him that I will be back and would expect to see him as a server. Shared with David/Manager. He shared with me that cooks have been here 15 years. Good turnover here in the restaurant. Great staff.

This is you Mom and Dad's steakhouse & that's okay! I like the fireplace. The decor is a comfy 80's vibe. The lighting was low which allows you to enjoy your appetizer in a relaxing manner as you wait for your prime rib ( in my case) to arrive. Food was delicious, service was good & we left happy.

Probably will not go back which is a shame because food was very good. Started out bad when I asked hostess NOT to sit us in what seemed to be a very loud room and she said that was the only table for 4 they had. B.S. Then the service was slow. And to top it all off - the Manager should have been called in to quiet a very large and very loud table down and they did not. There were two other tables near us who felt the same. We cut our time with friends short because the ambiance was beyond awful. When I ask to be seated at a different table - the hostess should n=know enough to do so, especially when I share that someone in the group is hard of hearing. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The best steak restaurant on the planet hands down. I am here consistently to say that this place is the most affordable, high class restaurant around. They dont skimp on the steaks even in these trying times. They go all out on service. I highly recommend.

Hurry and get out to Carver's Happy Hour for dinner tonight. We had a little bit of their delicious appetizer selection. It was beyond imagination.

Great place. The steaks were cooked to perfection. Really classy atmosphere, dim lighting, and soft music make for a wonderful place to have a romantic valentines dinner!

Great steak. Cooked perfectly. Grilled asparagus was delicious. Salads were lacking .. dressing (vinaigrette) was very oniony and not to my liking. Service was just good enough. Not overly friendly, but it was acceptable.
