Ugh. I got an omelet with spinach and it was frozen! $30 for an omelet that was worse than any diner I've ever been to. The server was super nice, but good God, the food was awful... even the toast and butter was horrible! AND, it's connected to the Hard Rock hotel!! Usually, they are super high end.

First up - the atmosphere was great, being in the HRC Hotel. Because of that it was also expensive as one might expect. The service was absolutely wonderful for the one time I ate here.Second - The food was okay, for the prices, I would expect more... specifically a chef that understood how to cook eggs. I got a simple breakfast of bacon, eggs and potatoes. The potatoes came out as a hockey puck... it was interesting but good. The bacon came out super crispy, like peanut brittle crispy. I do not necessarily like chewy bacon, but it shouldn't crumble when I chomp down on the bacon. The eggs... that is where the main problem lies. I ordered my eggs, Over-Medium. You have hard, which is basically solidified yolk, then you have Over-Easy which is runny yoke caked inside a flipped over fried egg. Then you have Over-medium which is a couple minutes longer on the grill and the yoke comes out more like a jello consistency. So you can eat the yoke without it running all over the place. IF the cook did not know how to do that, he should have mentioned it and I would have just asked for scrambled eggs.Third - My 4 day stay here... Mary Jane's is opened (supposedly) til like 8pm nightly... but every night when I got in they were closed. As early as 3pm they were closed and given that as expensive as they were, they were one of the less expensive restaurants in the area.

We ended up here because our hotel restaurant had an hour wait, but it was definitely worth the walk. Biggest pancakes I've ever seen and everything was delicious.

The food was okay, nothing special. Service was good. Other than the cold weather it was nice sitting at the outdoor seating.

Quick breakfast on a Thursday morning. Pleasant, clean booth. Easy, friendly service. Typical convention clientele.I got their huevos rancheros, which were simple and fairly priced.

Maryjane’s is the cafe style restaurant inside the Hard Rock hotel in San Diego and while I realize that we can’t expect much from that type of place, usually the Hard Rock name provides a bit more quality. We went on an afternoon after a Padres game and it was almost completely empty. While we were seated promptly it took close to 15 minutes for anyone to come and take our order. We just had deserts and these were lower quality than what you would find at a chilis. Freezer burned taste and not worth the calories.

Went with my family early on Nov 10th 2023. We are starting off our 12 year wedding anniversary celebration, and wanted to start off the morning with some breakfast. We went into an empty cafe and just sat as no one acknowledged us after the hostess sat us for about 15 minutes. We just left. Not sure if the problem was no one wanted to help the African-American family, but that was the vibe I got.
