I have no complaints about this establishment, their quality food, or the wonderful people that run it, (Bruce is the sweetest.)However *WARNING FOR ORDERING DELIVERY* through any of the apps like Uber. Many drivers are shady and dishonest and will STEAL your order and you will only find out about it an hour later when customer service calls you to cancel your order without any consequences or accountability. This is highly frustrating when you have made plans around your dinner just to have it canceled and you have to waste time and make last minute adjustments, but it’s not the fault of the restaurant at all. There is no way to report this kind of issue with the Uber delivery platform, or to have the driver take responsibility for their theft.But don’t let the shady delivery drivers deter anyone from trying this restaurant, because it is a great experience for some great eats.Love, a loyal boomerang customer“
“This place is a long time fave for us. They never disappoint. I have the onion dip with chips and the Nashville hot chicken with slaw every time because it's too good for me to shop the menu. This time my wife had the pimento grilled cheese with tomato soup and she loved it!“
“Went here after a padres game. Had read some of the reviews. I had a gentleman whiskey old fashioned. Ordered the fries and chorizo Mac and cheese. Drink was great, a healthy pour. Good was great as well, although I wished they would add some parmesean to the fries. Service was great, our server kept checking on us to see if we needed anything. The whiskey list was incredible.“
“We have recently returned from a fabulous holiday in San Diego and have loved the great atmosphere and friendly welcome in the Salt & Whiskey Bar whilst residing at the Horton Grand.The cocktails from Tyler and Mike are delicious and the two hosts Ruby and Beth are very friendly creating a perfect ambiance.We were lucky to listen to Alejandro and some guest singers making a wonderful jazz atmosphere.On arrival on our first night Victor was on hand to provide some tips and guidance alongside a friendly smile and during the day time Robert on the door was also happy to chat and give local recommendations. The bar really is a must if staying in the Gas Lamp area as full of charm and well managed by Roberta.“
