Cesarina
“My 4 poker buddies and I go to a restaurant the first Thursday I have every month to have lunch,, this month I picked Cesarina and it was so good. The service, the ambience everything was unbelievable. They have a new restaurant that they just opened up down the street called Ciao Elvira. Another great restaurant this one serves pizza. Probably the best pizza I've ever had. ”
“The whole dining experience was wonderful. The restaurant staff, food and atmosphere. Everyone was welcoming and made us feel so comfortable, like we were guests in their home. The wine suggestions were helpful and paired perfectly with our dishes, caprese appetizer, then lasagna and sea bass. We ended with an after dinner drink and an Tiramisu. Amazing food! Thank you for a memorable dinner! We will definitely recommend to others and return ourselves when in San Diego area.”
“Fantastic brunch place, super tasty, super portion sizes and super friendly staff. We were very happy with our trip, couldn't possibly eat any more and still took a lot of food home!It got very busy, very quickly after 9am so book in advance. By the time we left, there were 7 people waiting to be seated. The food was very nice, the service was very good and the portions were huge. We had the 2 farm egg breakfast, French toast and brisket. All were delicious and all were taken home for another attempt. On that note, it is expensive but the amount of food you get is impressive...Parking was good around 8am however after we left, there was hardly a space free.”
“Hidden in convoy behind a taco spot, is hidden fish. Upon entry, we were greeted warmly and professionally by the wait staff. Inside is so very clean and sharp. Chef is standing in the prep area prepping the pieces for the night. Chef Peter greets us so kindly while maintaining his focus on the prep. He is such a great host and chef. Entertaining us with questions from where we are from to where we have been, to what we have eaten. His aura radiated on our side of the bar seating. I felt like we were at a different restaurant than the other sections. Chef Peter made us feel safe and comfortable with him as we were about to embark on an 18 piece course of lifeEverything was amazing. Scallop, barracuda, yellow tail, cod, otoro, salmon, local AA uni, and albacore. Every piece of art as tasty as it looked beautiful. Omakase is more than just food. More than leave it up to the chef. It goes beyond a dining experience. It’s a story in time. For those 90 minutes, we were in a time where nothing else mattered but the beauty of what life has to offer. A must experiencePS. I asked chef Peter what the story was behind the name Hidden Fish. He said there is a hidden fish somewhere in the wood of the restaurant. If you find it, you get free omakase dinner”

“We had reservations to sit outside, but it was raining. I received a call early in the day letting us know we would be moved to the dodo doughnut café, which was adjoined to the restaurant. We enjoyed sitting in that area, as it was much quieter than the main dining room. As for the service, food , friendliness and knowledge of staff, everything was absolutely incredible! Between the four of us, we had the scallops, the chicken, the branzino, and the pork chop. Every single meal was delicious to the last bite. We highly recommend this restaurant.”

Callie
“We have eaten at Callie several times now and have come to the conclusion that it is the best dining experience in San Diego. The food is incredible. Every single bite is an experience. So many flavors! Give me an order of uni toast and the Patatas Bravas and I'm a happy man. The Aleppo Chicken is mind-blowing. Have not had a bad bite of anything in all of our visits. Service is top notch! From Tim you walk in to the time you leave the service staff and management is on top of making sure you have a great experience. If you haven't been to Callie get yourself a reservation and treat yourself to a night out. They will take great care of you. Best of the best! ?Vegetarian options: There are so many vege options that are so good. The babaghanoush, hummus, broccolini, carrots and Patatas Bravas are just a few of the options we always find on our table when we visit. So good!Parking: Parking garage on opposite side of the block from street entrance. Hostess stand will validate 3 hours of parking.”
“I wish I didnt live so far away. This is the best meal we have ever had. We got brunch. Souffle pancakes are amazing. Drinks are great. I will make a stop here every visit to SD. I must come here again before I die. Still talking about this place 8 months later.”

Restaurants with Delivery
“This was the last lunch of my five day vacation in San Diego. I had seen this restaurant on the map and was interested, but hadn’t yet had the chance to go. As soon as I came in, I asked to sit at the bar and was welcomed. However, this place usually has you order at the front before taking your seat. The bartender was super friendly with lots of energy and she knew the menu well. She had great hospitality because even though a few of the parties that arrived after me consisted of people she knew, it did not distract her from serving other guests.I tried the margarita with both the spicy and mezcal option. While it was tasty, it wasn’t very spicy. That’s something I can’t say about the dishes I ate. I asked for advice and was told to order the Baja Fish and the Mesquite Chicken. I was warned the chicken had a bit of a kick.Mesquite Chicken - it was tender and tasty. It was about at a medium level, but did not build to the point that you could not eat it. The best part was the chicharrones created from chicken skin. It added a crunchy texture that perfectly countered the soft corn tortilla.Baja Fish - all of the flavors danced with each other perfectly. While another patron seemed emotionally offended by the chorizo-tomato vinaigrette, I thought it added an excellent touch to the perfectly crisp tempura fish.It is more of a boutique, hip style taco spot, but the food is fast, delicious, and plentiful.Vegetarian options: Mushroom Taco, Cauliflower taco, Chipotle Rice”
“OMG these birria tacos are legit? meaty and very flavorful. The red salsa enhances the flavors. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area. Parking is limited.”

“We've been going to Et Volià! for the past few years. Every time we go we have a good experience. The menu has excellent options; from the appetizers to the mains, cheese selections. One of our favorites is the caviar with blini. It goes well with chilled vodka. The wine list pairs nicely with the food on the menu. The desserts are only fair, though. The pastry on our desserts was dry and over baked on 2 occasions. They have a significant wine cooler visible at the front of the restaurant. Cocktails are equally good and served at a bustling bar. Service can be spotty, but is mostly OK. The ambiance is relaxed with streaming lounge music. It's a world away from the hectic Adams Avenue on the other side of the door. Et Voilà! is consistent, which makes this one of my favorite restaurants in San Diego. Highly recommended.”

“We were looking for a local place, a hole-in-the-wall, to try some fresh and good tacos…and Oscar’s did not disappoint! It’s a small no-frills joint with flavorful tacos. We ordered the fish, shrimp, and smoked fish tacos. The smoked fish tacos is a MUST! The mixed ceviche was fresh and delicious. They offered a free sample of their fish soup when we were there - I would’ve ordered a bowl. It was so good! and oh so good ?”

“Michelin star must try. The evening couldn’t have been better. We drove by and on a whim and stopped by this place not knowing it was a Michelin restaurant. Very intimate venue with 2 tables outside, 3 tables inside, and the sushi bar. We asked if there was availability for 2 and we were advised they were booked for the night. We walked outside to contemplate our next move when to our surprise said they could fit us in within about 30 min. They called me in less than 30 min to tell me the table was ready and seated us. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. After ordering an item we were checked in on and then made recommendations based on our likes. The food was AMAZING! This is a must try and they only open up the books once a month on the first of the month to book a spot for the next month. We got super lucky to get a chance to try out this great spot and will for sure be back.”

“We got 5 dishes total and 4 cocktails. All the food was delicious, however every dish had a spicy and sweet flavor profile. While delicious, compared to other restaurants of this price point, they had quite an overlap in flavor. The beet salad, and clams were outstanding. On the maximalist cocktail menu, all drinks were unique and well presented. Highly recommend the “long season” cocktail. Ambience and decor is beautiful and definitely worth a try.”
“Enjoyed the Pav Bhaji, Paneer tikka, and chole batura! The waiters and owner were super nice and we enjoyed celebrating our friends bday here!(Pani puri was a little overpriced imo so we didn’t get that)”

“Great spot for lunch or dinner. I'm from out of town and locals were really nice. Fresh catch sandwiches are excellent and the staff are exceptional. Mind the signs and don't feed the seagulls. They will take your food (thankfully the staff warned me the first time I visited).”
“Every single dish we ordered was absolutely amazing. We sat outside under a heater. Even though it was chilly, we were comfortable because they gave us blankets. The server was friendly and informative.”
“Had such a great time with a few friends; the food was amazing and we got to eat upstairs in this private little room. Our waitress was so much fun and provided excellent service- the owners came in and said hello. It felt good to be at a family owned and operated restaurant. 10/10 thank you!”

“Quality pizza that you will pay for.But that's good sometimes. One small pizza and a couple drinks is enough, the list is not intimidating and can be fun to look at.We had the What I think was the "Bees Mode" salami and hot honey and the "you saw it coming" pepperoni and jalapeño, names may be incorrect but I did have more than one drink.”

“Unlike most of the breweries in SD, Pure has great examples of more niche beers like barleywines, Belgian-style sours, and dry-hopped Triple Hazies, and the execution is great. Strongly recommend!”
“Great Ice cream!! Loved the Fat elvis!! Although our whole order was a bit of work to complete the workers never made us feel like we were a burden. glad i checked this place out while i was staying in shelter island.”
“Place is super cute and romantic! I came here with a friend but automatically felt cute first date vibes! Drinks were delicious and food amazing (I mean look at the plating of this food! “We had a day trip taking the Amtrak Pacific Liner and with accssible transportation that took us to Little Italy where we found this gem. Oysters were fresh and a wide variety types of oysters. The cocktail selection has a wide range, which can pretty much cater to any alcohol type of your choice. It's a bit pricey but worth every penny.”
“Right next to Pure Project brewery. You can take out empanadas and pair with the beers at the Project! My first time and tried the beef with their spicy chimichurri. Very flavorful. Buttery and slightly flaky dough. YUM! Many different flavors to choose from at a reasonable price. They also have a location on C Street downtown. Just go!”

Looking for a beautiful, calm and scenic atmosphere to enjoy with company, then Finjan is the place to be. “A very cool hi-fi speakeasy with a cozy dimly lit atmosphere. They played classics from a vintage looking tube amp that lit up green. We went here on Valentine's Day, would definitely recommend as a romantic date night spot.”

“I cannot begin to say how amazing my experience was here. Biz, Emmy and the other person working (so sorry for spelling and names it was quite loud) on march 13th were absolutely amazing biz and his cocktail knowledge was impeccable. I came here solo with some anxiety and I was immediately felt at home. Later into the night they continued to provide amazing service and recommendations for other areas in San Diego. I'm visiting from Seattle and they definitely made my entire trip!”
“Rare Society is one of the best restaurants for our Christmas Eve dinner. The rib eye was so tender, even when asked for well done. Mine was a bit too charred on the outside, however. The rolls were delicious, hot, and melted in your mouth. The ceasar salad was the best I had with so much cheese! The service was wonderful and attentive. Worth a visit for that special occasion.”
“The parking is little tricky and sometimes you need to park on the street. The sushi and presentation is authentic and very very fresh. The two chefs create very friendly environment. We love going there. The price of the food is very reasonable and well worth it.They change the menu every 3 months. We definitely will be back.”

“I had an incredible dinner experience at Kinme Japanese restaurant! The combination of entertainment and top-notch food quality made it a fantastic evening. Miyazaki A5 beef: you can cut the meat with a fork! So juicy and soft. Worth the money to try the meat. Sashimi and sushi fish were also fantastic. All melted in my mouth. Witnessing the chefs skillfully prepare our dishes right in front of us added an extra layer of amazement to the dining experience. Finishing with matcha tea they traditionally made in front of us was awesome. The service was excellent. Calming relaxed setting with just the right amount of service at the right moment, the whole experience made enjoyable. The attention to detail and the delicious flavors truly set this restaurant apart. I highly recommend Kinme for an unforgettable Japanese culinary journey!"”
“My favorite spot to grab a vanilla latte in the neighborhood! I love that they are now offering full service with a new menu. High quality ingredients with great service. My pup is a big supporter of the 'dog menu' as well!”
“Stumbled across this gem. If you're in the San Diego area, I highly recommend. The food was great and so was the service. Ribs and pulled pork were my favorite. Sides were delicious too. Mac, baked beans, and slaw were all good. The corn bread is the best I've ever had. Spacious place to hang out with friends.”
“If you were to ask me yesterday where the best dumplings in San Diego were, I'd just say there are a couple of places that are okay, but no strong endorsements.Meet Dumpling has completely changed that for me; they are the real deal. This family is from Northeast China, and in China their area is famous for being 水饺 (boiled dumpling) masters.Everything we tried was "the best" (read, our favorite) version of that dish that we've had in San Diego, and any one of them would have been top tier even back in China. The flavors here are perfectly balanced, the ingredients are high quality and fresh, and you can tell the owners and staff put incredible care and a huge amount of work into this place.Their daughter is also super cute and sassy! I still haven't beaten her in Uno but I'll be trying again soon.”

Room 56
“Room 56 is one of the best speakeasies I've visited - and I've been to a lot! The bookshelf entrance was so fun, and every cocktail was unique and perfectly crafted. I loved that the corresponding craft cocktail was included to indicate the flavor profile of the Room 56 version. The conversation starters on our table was a wonderful touch. Also, since it was a Wednesday night, the space was so calm and quiet. I'll be back the next time I'm in San Diego!”

“We loved our orders from Real Dog Box when we lived in Las Vegas and had multiple dogs. They thrived on tje natural treats and chews. I didn't think they would ship to MI, but I am thrilled they do! Even though we have only one dog now, is is well worth ordering!”
“We enjoyed our food! We really loved the chicken and waffles. Unfortunately our grandma fainted (didn’t eat yet and was already feeling a little off) the staff was so helpfull and called a ambulance. They really were supportive and also Luis who work there was so friendly and told us to stay strong and was very sweet to us. Thank you so much and greetings from amsterdam”

“Large portions to match the prices. Really liked the ability to customize the hashbrown breakfast burrito to include nopales aka cactus, which unfortunately was a little salty but the other ingredients were pretty good: sausage, bacon, eggs. Still prefer the abodaba tacos at Tacos El Gordo.Service was patient. The atmosphere felt a little run down.”
“I bought 3 tacos; don't really remember what I ordered. They were around 6$ a taco which might seem expensive at first, but for the size you get, it's worth it. It was flavorful and delicious. It satisfied my craving for a late night taco run.”

“If you are a fan of carnitas, you are in for a treat! I ordered Carnitas fries it is delicious! The meat is seasoned well, fries could be cooked a lil bit longer but its my preference. Got it with everything on it! Fully satisfied and will be ordering again.”
“As i wandered the barren streets of san diego, the lifeless streets surprised me, a place that was depicted to all as lively and well, desolate of food. I and my friends trekked for miles, and finally saw a glowing aura around this tiny shop. In we went, and were encapsulated by its amazing prices in an inflated economy, and its versatile menu. We thought “its too good to be true, isnt it?”. We ordered, spending less than at any fast food restaurant, and got our food within 4 minutes. This place is so sick.”

Pizza Nova
“A shout out to Pizza Nova, especially Kristie, who has our orders memorized! My friend and I eat at Pizza Nova every Wednesday, usually around the same time. We sit in one particular area, and always place the same order. Garrett is also a great server, but we have a special place in our heart for Kristie. She's efficient, has a smile on her face, and makes her job look easy (even when it's not). Kristie takes great care of us, and we appreciate it! Thanks!!”
Takeout Restaurants
“Absolutely delicious coffee and not overly sweet. So grateful that they had a vegan option for the classic Saigon Coffee as well. The line was long but the employees worked through it very quickly and were happy to answer any questions. Can't wait to come back!”
“My absolute favorite ice cream shop! I live in LA so I don’t get to go as often as I would like but every time I am in SD An’s is usually my first and last stop! Even in the rain! “I went here cause of the large number of 5-star reviews on google maps this place has. I wasn’t disappointed. Very efficient service. Loved the ambience of the place. The breakfast croissant sandwich is a unique offering in the area and honestly it was so good.”
“This place is heaven. They have so many different meads to try and knowledgeable staff. The meads range from very sweet like lemonade to something more like a beer. The Lemon Cello is my personal favorite with its sweet and delicious flavor. The flight samplers are a good value for the quantity of drinks they give you. They don't serve any food but they are in a square with some other businesses that do serve food. Its a really great space to relax and enjoy with friends.”
“This is a cool and popular place to hang out I am not the cider biggest fan but tried one of their flights They were mostly good except the apricot which was very bitterService was fineTap payment didn't workI wish they had a few beer options”
“What a darling space. Truly marvelous on the inside.Came to catch up with a friend and thoroughly enjoyed our drinks. The barista was enthusiastic about what was on offer and I appreciate a good recommendation! (I do wish they served their X-Factor drip, though. It is AMAZING. You are missing out if you don't grab a bag!)Much love to a shop that provides resources and community awareness. It is so important and makes the extra circling for parking worthwhile.”
“This place is awesome! The whole menu is great! I had the Japanese curry, fried chicken and rice bowl. It was amazing! The kind of food that makes you want to rush home and eat!You can order online before you arrive, or order at the place…if you have any questions about the menu, they willing to explain anything and even make suggestions. If you ever visit the Pacific Beach area, definitely stop here for food!Vegetarian options: My wife is a vegan….and she found a bowl that she absolutely loves!”
“I've been getting ice cream here occasionally ever since they opened. I am biased since I'm vegan, but I've brought at least four non-vegan friends here and we ALL have enjoyed it. Lots of flavors with different bases (coconut, almond, sunflower, etc.) and some tasty fruit sorbets as well. It's a little pricey, I can't lie about that, BUT it's a specialty product, so I get it and to me it's worth it when I want a treat. Also helps me not eat excessive amounts!Dietary restrictions: Actually it's vegan!!!”
“It’s difficult to dine here without reservations. We decided to try our luck at walk-in. We got lucky and they had bar seating available for us upstairs. Upstairs is an outdoor patio with beautiful views. The food menu looked amazing but we didn’t come here on an empty stomach so it didn’t make sense to order steak. Although the hot and cold dish such as uni spaghetti and snails were calling my name!Instead, I enjoyed a cocktail. My spirit of choice is tequila but none of the cocktails had that so my next choice would be gin. The French 75 has gin, lemon, grapefruit and wine. It’s the wine that creeps up on you! Absolutely delicious craft cocktail that’s refreshing, citrusy with a kick of sweet, sour and bitter.Downstairs has modern vibe with a mix of old Vegas but upstairs is where you want to be! Especially in San Diego you get that perfect weather of indoor/outdoor feel. There’s also a fire place. The mixologists dressed in tuxedo tops with shorts. Will need to come back when we’re craving for steaks!”
“Pleasantly surprised by the personal service. Wonderful ambiance. Dessert was truly deserving of the hype. Some of the dishes were not my flavor profile, but they have a large menu so can't wait to come back.”
“Located inside food court of a supermarket, this is such a hidden gem even expected my standard as a Vietnamese. The best authentic, high quality and affordable food I've ever had outside of Vietnam! Every single dish I've tried on the menu was excellent! Highly recommended!”
“Get the all meat burrito. You will have the experience of a lifetime. Drive to the ocean with the 5lb all meat burrito and munch down while looking at the ocean. You’ll have the experience of a lifetime. All meat burrito.”
“Had such a great time with a few friends; the food was amazing and we got to eat upstairs in this private little room. Our waitress was so much fun and provided excellent service- the owners came in and said hello. It felt good to be at a family owned and operated restaurant. 10/10 thank you!”
“Cool place for a visit - a lot going on in a small area. Quite a few restaurants packed inside with mix of seating. Buildings next door/partially connected have artisan shops with unique styles (super friendly and creative.”

“We threw a surpise birthday party for my husband here at Thorn Brewing. Morgan at Thorn helped me reserve half the venue for the party, we were able to bring in our own food/cake and with about 15 adults we hit the minimum for a beer tab during the 4 hrs we were there. I would recommend this place for a small party/get together. Good beer and great service!”
“Unexpected Deliciousness and great service… glad they are expanding! If you like Vietnamese and Thai food, you will love this even moreVegetarian options: Too many to report.. go and check it out as you won’t be sorry”
“I've been here about a dozen times and it's always been a great experience. I'm not even vegan. I come here because the food is always fresh and stable, no surprises. Their have cane sugar sodas which I really value. So far I've tried one of everything and while I'm not a fan of imitation meat, I really can't tell the difference here. A chicken sandwich tastes like a chicken sandwich. Fast friendly service, no mistakes or issues. Honestly that's the thing that sets them apart from everyone else.”
“In-N-Out Burger serves up delicious burgers at unbeatable prices, making it a go-to spot for burger enthusiasts on a budget. The patties are juicy, the buns are soft, and the toppings are fresh, ensuring a satisfying meal every time. However, the popularity of this joint means it's often bustling with long lines and crowded seating areas. While the burgers shine, the same can't be said for the fries, which sometimes arrive cold and lackluster, detracting from the overall experience. Despite this hiccup, In-N-Out remains a favorite for its tasty burgers and wallet-friendly prices.”
“I looked for an ethnic restaurant for our Valentine's Day dinner, and we're so happy to have found Bhojan Griha. The food is prepared with excellent skill using all fresh ingredients. The curry and masala had the perfect flavor and spices, and the samosas were mouth watering. Relax and enjoy the atmosphere and company while you wait, because the food is prepared from scratch.Vegetarian options: Our vegetarian friends love this restaurant.”
“We’ve been looking for street tacos near our neighborhood…and we are glad to have stumbled upon this gem! We ordered al pastor and carne asada tacos..the tacos are larger than street tacos with all of the toppings you need (see attached picture)…PLUS AMAZING PRICING. I also noticed that their menu has a wide spectrum and we are definitely going to make this our usual spot now. We also really appreciated the quality of the food AND service.”
“A really great little coffee stand! The weekday mornings may have a little wait, but they really know what they're doing and will churn through the line in short order. Lots of wonderful menu options and a regularly changing seasonal options.”
“Did I just find my next neighborhood bar?! I stopped by here on a Sunday around 1230pm before heading home to watch another heartbreaking game where my NFL team lost in overtime. And the beer I had here helped me feel loose and ready to get my heartbroken. First of all, Jessie, the bartender serving us, was a chill dude. Allowed us to sample. Asked us questions. Played and put us onto different songs. And most importantly, gave his solid recommendations on what to drink. We ended up sharing two beers. The healing earth IPA stole the show. I absolutely hate IPAs but this one was so delicious I almost walked away with a 4-pack of it. The other I had was the Sun Soaked which wasn't that great. When we entered we were the only ones there but when we left there was about 5 total. Heard during Chargers games it gets packed. So plan accordingly. Really dig the place.”
“Absolutely love this spot! My friend and I went here for the first time and the atmosphere is so warm and aesthetically pleasing! We went to get some work done and unlike most coffee shops, this spot didn’t have that “busybody” or “traffic-y” feeling. Lots of space to do work and breath! Not to mention how CUTE the shop is! Def get ready to post your IG pics.Big shout out to Marlene and the gals that made our drinks. We got a hot white mocha and a strawberries & dreams which was absolutely delicious!!! Marlene later gave us a complimentary drink since we told her it’s our first time here and we got to try their signature honey roasted rose latte which hit the spot. i’m not much of a floral drink gal but i will definitely be adding that onto my list when i inevitably come back here.Excited to try their other seasonal drinks! really wish i could give this more than 5 stars. Love it!! ?*edit* they gave us another drink to try, I think it was some type of purple tea. Yummy as expected!”
“Very ample and comfortable seating, ambulances nice especially early in the morning. Service is phenomenal, attention to detail with out having to ask is always a nice touch. Best cheese danish it hit the spot and the coffee is extremely good . This is definitely a place for dog enthusiast the fact that it's backed up against the dog park and you can get your cup of coffee as your dog is running around is always a nice thing .”
“We ordered two pizzas and a spaghetti with meatballs. Spaghetti was very good with right amount of sauce to noodles. Pizza was great. Good sauce and toppings but crust was really great.Friendly service.”
“There are fresh donuts.. and there are MADE TO ORDER donuts. After visiting Copper Top yesterday, I now know the difference. I got the French Toast and it was light and chewy and perfect. Not greasy at all!”
“The convenience store is clean and organized. The deli section within the convenience store is well manned and quick to get your order out. They have a fresh variety of choices. Reminds me of a better Subway. Slightly more expensive than your regular sandwich shop but good overall. This is really only a lunch time place to grab food and go back to your place to enjoy. They aren't open early enough for breakfast and not late enough for dinner. My only gripe is the hours of the sandwich shop are posted on a 8x11 paper outside. If you don't look close enough, you'll miss it.”
“Oh my baGawk!Their chicken is soo ridiculously good. And that's coming from a vegetarian that had their crispy plant tenders. Pair it with their house salad and a beer and you'll be set! I look forward to eating here whenever we're around one of their 3 locations because they never disappoint! It's the only place where my very carnivorous bf and I can comfortably eat a full crispy chicken meal with our toddler , who is now also a huge fan.Vegetarian options: Plant based tenders in multiple sauce/flavor options , sides , saladsKid-friendliness: Outdoor shaded, enclosed patioWheelchair accessibility: Out door patio”
“Delicious!! We were visiting from Denver and were starving and stumbled into this little gem! Our server was absolutely lovely and kind, we came in from the rain all bedraggled and she helped us.We got the split pea soup and 1/2 grilled cheese sandwich, and the chicken turkey pie dinner with fries and a roll and coleslaw, whipped potatoes corn and a side salad.Their split pea soup was to die for and the BLEU CHEESE DRESSING is so incredible!! So creamy and flavorful, highly recommend!!”

Fine Dining
“Went for lunch and got the omakase, it was incredible. Expensive, but the unbelievable food and unique experience justifies the price for a special occasion. Every bite of fish was unique, fresh, and tasty. Shrimp and scallop sashimi were out of this world, same goes for the marinated tuna. Even dessert was delicious. No wonder dinner reservations are so hard to get!”
“We were very impressed and happy with our experience. It makes me sad to see some of the bad reviews as it seems this restaurant is undeserving of them. The team here makes such a great effort to give an absolutely unforgettable night. The quality and taste of the food is so good!!The service is choreographed perfectly, like a dance, they are so welcoming, engaging and knowledgeable, the light the music the comfort of the chairs, temperature of the room, the beauty of everything they put in front of you, is art. It all exceeded our expectations. Just amazing!!Thank you to the staff and chef for making this happen. With that being said, this is meant in my opinion to be a one time experience. Anything more will make the mirage break for you.I get that most people that come here have an abundance of cash to burn and they wish they can come here every weekend and be served a different menu all together but is that even possible? For reference our bill for 4 people was $8,500 after gratuity, and although we were absolutely blown away by the whole thing, no restaurant visit should cost that much. But if you have the money to spare, come and experience this place, it's worth every penny. I know it's contradictory, but I think you understand what I mean.”
“Fantastic views and food. I was the only non meat eater in the group and was pleased with the lions mane mushroom entree available. Finally an upscale place where I don’t have to eat side dishes when I go out with a group! Thank you for an inclusive menu.Vegetarian options: Besides the salads, there is an entree option that is veg.”
“Amazing experience at Ken's, everything was delicious, and the service and company were unmatched. Thank you!Edit: And the dessert was equally wonderful!- from a friend of Samuel”
“The atmosphere is to die for. The waiters and waitresses are amazing! If you get Carrie K you’ll be in good hands. She’s nice and reliable. The food is the only downside to the restaurant. It’s plated beautifully but lacks in taste. The prices and food quality don’t match but it’s an amazing place to woo a date!”
“This is the classical American Steak Restaurant, the food and service were good and the place is nice, with a great view of the ocean. What I didn't like about this place is that the steak is just served in an otherwise empty plate without any effort to make it look nice.”
“Everyone was so courteous and helpful. It was my Mom's 86th birthday and everyone treated her royally. I've always loved this restaurant. The food is excellent and the surroundings just perfect!”
“I was treated to my birthday dinner here last weekend and I was pleasantly surprised. Situated on the second floor of the Kimpton Alma Hotel, Chef Neroni envisioned an intimate , "Mad Men" chic, "James Bond-esque" space, and I think he accomplished that.We sipped cocktails with 80s inspired names like Fantasy Island, Rick James and Magnum PI. I had an Alma G&T that was a little on the sweet side. But our server Aria took care of that by adding a little soda water. Aria answered all our questions and made sure that we had everything we needed. We ordered the tartare, kale and citrus salad, lobster bucatini and whole fish. We enjoyed the meal overall! The beef tartare, although delicious, I felt the meat's flavor was hidden by the seasoning. The bucatini was perfectly al dente with a nice amount of lobster pieces. The kale and citrus salad with beets was perfect. It cleansed the palate, dressed with a light citrus vinegrette. Lastly, and the pièce de resistance was the whole fish, which barely fit in the serving dish! The local bass was de-boned and was half dressed with schug, a paste made with cilantro and half harissa, made with red chili's!! Wow, two very different flavors!! It was served with freshly made blue tortillas and Indian rice. We initially mistakenly thought the rice was undercooked. But now realize the crispness was intentional.Lastly, I ordered the basque cheesecake for my birthday treat! It was delicious, topped with meringue and served with a side of horchata ice cream! It certainly topped off a great meal.”
“Just had brunch here on Sunday. The food was amazing. I had the Biscuits and gravey with a side of candy bacon. My wife got the fried pork tacino. It was so delicious. The vibe is really cool, and they have a DJ. Will definitely check this place out again when back in town.”
“Walking in, was greeted pleasantly with the most amazing decor, perfect for a fancy steakhouse. The bar was glistening with gold flakes and looked like it was 100 ft long! Drinks were original and delicious but it wasn’t until I had the steak… never had a steak melt in my mouth as I ate it. The owner was walking around, greeting all the guests. In all, 5 stars all around! Thank you guys for the experience!”
“We have been to CBB twice now and both were exceptional. The food is decedent and the atmosphere is so inviting. The intimate dinner party setting allows for very attentive service. I was pregnant during one of our visits so they substituted the normally planned cocktails with yummy mocktails.”
“I recently enjoyed brunch here, and it was fantastic! The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made for a delightful experience. The menu offered a wide variety of delicious options, from classic breakfast dishes to inventive brunch creations. Every bite was fresh and flavorful, and the presentation was impeccable. Whether you're craving sweet or savory, this restaurant has something to satisfy every brunch craving. A definite must-visit for anyone looking for a delicious morning meal!”
“My friends and I stopped by Santa gula while on our Irish4aday bar crawl, and we got a yummy free welcome shot along with a reverse happy hour until closing. We will be back here again for the next GEM bar crawl!”
“The server was really nice. The table bread and spreads are really good. I appreciate that they have a vegetarian option given that it's known for meat. I like the Mac and cheese side and the scallop potatoes, but didn't care much for the portabella plate much, but everything else was good.Vegetarian options: They have a menu for vegetarians but some of the options say bacon on it, so just make sure the server knows you want it without meat.”
“The afternoon tea is such a great girl time experience! I highly recommend getting into your best outfits and meeting for tea on a weekend. The best ulta femme way to have a great time in a gorgeous building. It's such a vibe in there and the harpist just adds to the amazing experience.”
“It’s difficult to dine here without reservations. We decided to try our luck at walk-in. We got lucky and they had bar seating available for us upstairs. “Great little spot to eat! My husband and I came in for some happy hour appetizers and were greeted and served by the owner. He was extremely welcoming and made us feel well taken care of. You can tell he puts a lot of care into this place and his food. We had the calamari, bruscetta, and meatballs; all of which were delicious. We then split the lobster tortellini (one of the nightly specials) that was topped with a cream sauce and giant mozzarella ball. It was FABULOUS! My husband and I did not leave a single bite. We then finished the meal with some robust espresso and a slice of tangy limoncello cake. I wish I had more photos to post, but the food was too good to last. Definitely recommend giving this place a try of you're in the area.”
Cheap Eats
“One of the best tacos in the city. Very home style food with a focused menu. They serve pork and chicken tacos, pork taquitos, some really great rice and beans, and chorizo beans. On weekends also have tamales, and burritos and chorizo con huevos. Must visit with your family for simple and delicious Mexican cuisine. Must try for locals and tourists alike!Vegetarian options: Rice and beans is it”
“So incredible! Both times I’ve gone the food has been excellent. The hainanese chicken rice was insane. So were the helen rice balls with pork belly and helen’s pancakes. Every detail is so thought out, even the water is delicious. They infuse it and gave us desserts. Loved the cheesecake the most. This is going into our heavy rotation.Dietary restrictions: Vegan and gluten free.”
“Somi Somi, and the Korean-American dessert shop in San Diego, has stolen my heart with its unique blend of Eastern and Western flavors. Their Ahboong dessert, a traditional Korean shaved ice treat, has been reimagined with a modern twist that will leave you craving more. Typically made with sweet red bean and fruit, this desert twist gets a creative makeover at Somi Somi. They offer innovative flavors like matcha, black sesame, strawberry, and ube all perfectly balanced. with a great texture and combination of flavors, this desert is nothing short of magical. But what truly sets Somi Somi apart is the seamless integration of Korean and American cultures. From the traditional Korean desserts to the modern, Instagram-worthy presentation, every aspect of the experience is infused with a sense of cultural fusion. The friendly staff, dressed in hanbok-inspired uniforms, will guide you through the menu with warm smiles and enthusiasm. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, with K-pop beats playing in the background and colorful decorations that pay homage to Korean traditions. You'll feel like you're in Seoul, but with a distinctly San Diegan twist.Somi Somi is more than just a dessert shop – it's an immersive cultural experience that will leave you feeling delightfully confused (in the best way possible). Whether you're a K-food enthusiast or just looking for a unique sweet treat, Somi Somi is a must-visit destination in San Diego. The only knock is seating. The place can use better seating and more seating both inside and out. Shade would also be nice for the outside seating area.”
“Great seafood tacos at Oscars! We had the tuna adobado, shrimp & bacon, octopus and fish tacos. All tasted very good and very fresh. Nice staff that answers all your questions and the food comes out quickly. They have a dog friendly outdoor seating area as well. Recommend for nice tacos!”
“I love this place! They have multiple non dairy options that are rich and delicious. Decent prices. The staff is always so friendly. I love the mango sticky rice flavor!”
“It's like having breakfast at your grandpa's house. Lucky interacts with you as if you were family, and he takes and cooks the order for you. The food tastes great and the prices are low, so make sure you tip him well!”
“Amazing interior, great food trucks, and their beers are quite nice! They are now very popular, but the outdoor seating makes it bearable! Heavy on the hazy/murky beers right now, but they are VERY high quality beers.”
“My favorite was the beef roll tacos. They tasted ? good. The torta was ok. The bread was crispy and it had a good taste. The meat was average. The price for these two items was almost $20. The cashier was friendly. We ate inside the dining area was clean.”
“Coffeesnob here checking in! Divo Diva is 5/5 across the board. Steps above the rest. Whether you bring a date or treat yo’ self, this is a great space. Also… FOAM ART!!!!”
“Great espresso! Even though busy, got my shot pretty quick, welcoming atmosphere. Unfortunately, they didn't have the "Nata", perhaps next pit stop I get lucky. ?”
“GOOD LORD- I’m a HUGE foodie and I’m serious when I say their roast beef sandwich was probably the best sandwich I’ve had in my life!! The bbq sauce was on point, the bread was heavenly and the meat was delicious and tender! Worth every penny- RUN, don’t walk!”
“I have been coming here for over a year now! The food is amazing, and the staff are outstanding! Mike and Kimberly are hard working and it shows when you walk through the door! Smiles all around and a great atmosphere!! I'm from NY and I have what it takes to really understand good taste as well as quality pizza! Love, ”
“How have I been missing this little gem?! Gladys is so personable and helpful. We had a Point Loma Women’s Group meeting this morning and I’m so glad we did, loved my chai latte and blueberry scone?”
“Just go. You’ll be glad you did. A group of us were in San Diego for a convention and decided we wanted some sushi. After some quick research I came across Makai as the only 5-star rated sushi place. I was a little suspicious because restaurants just don’t get 5-stars. There’s always an unhappy customer, right? Well, we took the chance and I’m thrilled we did. The owner is the chef and he was extremely welcoming and his sushi was, no kidding, among the best I’ve ever had. I had the Godzilla sushi bowl and the combination of seafood, rice, sauce, avocados were perfect. I could hear everyday. And, I’ve had sushi all over the country and throughout the world. Some really swanky places. Makai is different. I’s personal. Not pretentious. The food is amazing, but the experience rivals it in it’s feeling of authenticity. Will be watching for this place to grow as people find this awesome place.”
“I’ve been making my own ice cream since I got the Ninja Creami for Christmas. So it was nice to have some from a creamery. I’m also aware of ice cream ingredients and I like that this is on the lighter side.We were able to sample flavors. I ended up getting avocado pistachio. I didn’t taste much avocado, I think it was used as a base for texture. It did have a strong pistachio taste and had bits and pieces of pistachio. My friend got coffee and that was delicious. Had a mocha flavor. We both regret that we didn’t sample Mexican hot chocolate. They also serve drinks. As well as elote! I loved that they offer different cup sizes.”
“I am a local wedding coordinator and have worked with Jenny cakes multiple times now, Not only are they quick to respond to inquiries and messages, but their cake is also amazing. Every client I’ve ever had use them has only left happy! I refer them to all my clients looking for a specialty cake!”

“Such a timeless place and the best part. It's down at the beach. The best of both worlds an Iconic and delicious dining experience, yet casual and relaxing. I love the ambiance and friendliness of the service. All the plates are yummy and so are the drinks.”
“I loved this place!! Starting with the friendly warm greeting as soon as you walk in! It has a very local welcoming vibe. You can order your food at the register as soon as you walk in or there Is someone to Seat you for dine in. The guy at the register is helpful when you don't know what to order. They seem to know their customers well. We ordered the birria bowl which comes with rice and beans with birria on top. They include limes, radishes, extremely spicy salsa and corn tortillas slightly dipped in the meat broth they are so good ? The meat has such good flavors and spices, It was very tender! One of the few truly authentic birria places I've tried. Give this place a try You won't regret it! Good prices and decent portions. Excellent place to eat!”
“We had an absolutely amazing meal and experience at Mati’s!! Dora made us feel right at home. We got the chilaquiles verdes and birria fries and they were both UNREAL! If you are looking for a great spot to eat with not only amazing food, but an amazing experience, get over to Mati’s!!”

Bistro Pazzo
“Bistro Pazzo is the best local spot for Italian food in La Jolla. The Rigatoni Al 4 Formaggi and the Rodfather's Meat-a-Balls are two favorites. The pastas come with bread and fresh pesto sauce which is such a unique and delicious touch. Great wine selection as well. Can't wait to come back!”

Il Posto
“Pizza is my primary food group and I've tried most places in San Diego. Their pizza might be the best I've ever had in the city and could compete for some of the best pizza in Naples. Their prices of $20 for a pizza feels a bit steep but is consistent with other Italian places. They have a lot of Italian food which looks good but I have yet to try. Atmosphere works for either a casual meal or a fancy night out.”
“Super yummy tacos and quesadillas. Unique tortillas with just the right amount of spice and the perfect blend of ingredients. I usually get my delicious food to go, as the dining area is too small & busy for my shy sensibilities.”
“Luna Grill is literally the best place ever to get your work done. They always have reslly good music playing and comfy chairs to sit in. The employees here are so amazing and sweet, especially Jhona, who has been so nice to talk to while ordering something. Luna grills fries are also top tier, DEF RECOMMEND GOING HERE !!”

“Drinks were great, food was good, initially they gave me the wrong order but Sam was great and brought my correct order back. Atmosphere was beautiful and they had good music, overall very nice!”
“Tapas & Beer is the real deal! The vibe is cozy and welcoming, making it the perfect spot for date nite or dinner with friends. Now, let's talk about the food – the sausage sampler was delicious. We paired it with a side of organic vegetables and their homemade baquette that they bake right before it comes to your table!!!! So good and they've got an extensive beer selection too! But what really makes this place shine are the owners of the restaurant, Nael and Julie. They are very friendly and go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your experience.”
“I have been a fan ever since, however... 3rd times the charm! We were seated in Jacob's section, and wow. Our party of 6 included 2 children, he went above and beyond for our group, starting with getting the kids settled with toys and their meals. It was such a pleasant experience, we really enjoyed our time.”
“Our party of 4 went on a Thursday night and we were seated right away. There were seats at the bar and 2-4 person high and low tables. Because it’s in Hillcrest, we had a rough time looking for street parking- ended up finding a spot a couple blocks down.We ordered from the Specialty Tacos list: Steak and Bones, Bad to the Bone, and El Presidente. The tacos were surprisingly large!*Steak and Bones: full sized grilled rib eye tender steak slabbed on a corn tortilla— definitely can’t eat it like a normal taco*Bad to the Bone: fall-off-the-bone beef rib on a corn tortilla*El Presidente: 3 large pieces of garlic shrimp on a corn tortilla— so good!We also ordered the *Steak and Bone Fries and the *Steak and Bone Nachos. These 2 were just okay for us. The nachos were crunchy but these were smaller portions served on big plates which made it look underwhelming. Our server was attentive and service was pretty quick, considering how large the meats were.I’d come back for their Specialty tacos!Parking: Paid street parking only (free after a certain time). Difficult to find a spot especially during night time.”
“Pleasantly surprised by the personal service. Wonderful ambiance. Dessert was truly deserving of the hype. Some of the dishes were not my flavor profile, but they have a large menu so can't wait to come back.”
“One of the best pastas and tiramisus I’ve ever had. High quality Italian restaurant. The jazz music was very pleasant as well. 10/10 recommend, and will definitely return in the future.”
“This was one of the places listed for best pizza in the San Diego area in some article. The interior is actually really spacious. The food was really good. We got the octopus for the appetizer, pepperoni pizza, and pasta each. Pasta portion was pretty good. Not too much. The pizza was good but was a bit floppy.”
“I hesitate sometimes to give up my secret spot, because the regulars know how great it is, but I want to be able to get a table! This place has the most wonderful staff, an expert bartender/manager, caring and attentive staff and a wonderful concise menu of amazing quality favorites. Love the Trout, Steak Frites, Duck, Pate, the house salad is wonderful, and a great wine selection!”
“Great place to eat and bring children to. Very reasonable prices on all there food and drinks. The Malts and Shakes are the Best!Parking: This place is in a strip mall so the parking lot has plenty of room. There is also a Grocery store in the same complex, so ample parking!Kid-friendliness: This place Caters to kids.”
“Husband ordered us Two plates and they were good. The Mac salad was cool, reg basic flavor. The poke compared to a lot of other places was nice & fresh. It does have a little park outside that you can eat at , but being surrounded by business buildings it’s a little meh for me. Past that though , poke quality was good.”
“Friendly service. They were quite busy and mistakenly poured the wrong beer. Suffice to say they did not charge and were extremely serviceable about it. Come drink here.”
“Located inside food court of a supermarket, this is such a hidden gem even expected my standard as a Vietnamese. The best authentic, high quality and affordable food I've ever had outside of Vietnam! Every single dish I've tried on the menu was excellent! Highly recommended!”

SHABU-WORKS
“I've been here multiple times the past year, and they never fail to impress! The food is great, and being able to control your own portions for the sides is a huge plus. The music isn't deafening at all and the we were never left waiting to be served.”
“Stopped by there last Sunday after an event in Cortez Hill area. They have $5 beers ? for the winter! Also had great customer service from Victoria!I highly recommend this venue in Gaslamp/East Village area.”

MOTHERSHIP
“It's a very small place - so noise level is very high. Hard to talk with friends without yelling. Some food was very good (potatoes) some food not so good (pancake). Drinks were excellent. Service was good - though being told you have 10 mins when they brought the bill was a bit aggressive. Overall it was a unique experience, but not a place that we'd return to given the expense, lack in ability to have a decent conversation with friends and there was really only the one food item we all agreed was really yummy. Fun Insta moment for sure - which is the hype I guess. Fun concept. Great branding work with the menus, descriptions, etc.”
“We love this place! Great value for lunch especially (all you can eat option) - the meat selection is limited for lunch but that's ok, we love the angus beef and order that over and over again. Much broader selection at dinner, costs more. Service is efficient - they bring out more meat quickly when you ask for it instead of lolly-gagging around hoping you'll eat less. The meat is freshly sliced - you can hear the slicer going (quietly) in the kitchen. Vegetables are fresh and we like the cold salads. The original broth is outstanding - just the right blend of seasonings in a rich broth. This is a cook your own of course. For families that want two different types of broth there are divided pots and several vegetarian options. Dessert is included - a small scoop of ice cream, green tea or fruit flavor of the day. Our favorite veggies for the pot are bok choy, pea sprouts and various types of mushrooms. Location is convenient, on Clairemont Mesa Blvd right off Genesee and there is plenty of parking. 5 stars!”
“We had reservations and were still seated outside on the patio.... It was windy and chilly. Asked to get our seats changed, but they said no.Food was ok. Bolognese lasagna and burrata caprese appetizer was just ok. Nothing to write home about.I probably won't return.”
“Haley took the best care of us! She was very personable and the food was amazing as always. We come from Arizona and it always fresh and delish. Next time we come back I hope Haley is serving us!”
“Casual breakfast spot offering breakfast sandwiches, pastries, and more. Sat out on their back patio which has plenty of covered seating. Awesome menu- ordered the fried chicken sandwich, biscuits and gravy, cinnamon roll biscuit, and orange juice.”
“Great place for a dinner with friends! Friendly and welcoming staff, great food and atmosphere. We ordered lemon chicken soup, Greek salad and lamb entry. Everything was! Owner recommended a great red wine for my husband! We enjoyed gorgeous paintings on the wall! Highly recommended!”
“***PERMANENTLY CLOSED***I loved this place and was so sad and disappointed to find them permanently closed. I found some of their Hawaiian Pog kombucha at Fusion Eats (a few stores down) before leaving. Hopefully this can save you a trip.”
“There aren't enough stars for this restaurant. We had all around amazing experience mainly because of our server Miguel. He was hands down one of the best servers we have ever had. He made sure to acknowledge our young daughter and include her in the whole experience which she really enjoyed. Now let's talk about the food I've had lots of crab cakes in my time, but their crab cake was the BEST I've ever had. I cannot even find the words to describe the deliciousness of this dish! Just get it! My husband ordered the shellfish tower and raved about it. The warm goat cheese salad was also amazing. Can't forget the crème brûlée! What a fabulous meal! Check out Eddie V's and ask for Miguel. He will guarantee a wonderful experience!”
“Had an amazing time at Harmony. We sat at the bar and had the omakaze menu. The quality of the fish was incredible and the staff was so friendly and helpful. Chef Mickey does a wonderful job pairing flavors that have you happy to the last bite. Highly recommend; this place is a gem!”
“As someone that loves to sample many items on a menu, I loved the ability to mix and match slider size burgers and fried chicken sandwiches. The burgers were juicy and full of flavor. I might go as far as to say they were perfect in what a cheeseburger should taste like. I went with the Double cheese burger and the BBQ and bacon cheese burger.I also really enjoyed my Nashville Chicken sandwich.I would love to see a French Fry that matched the quality of the burger.I wish I lived closer, I would be a regular customer. I will definitely go back.”

Bun & Patti
“A great happy hour spot!! The deals, the service, the food and drinks all were 10/10. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a happy hour in the area thats perfect for a couple or a close friend or two.”
72
Rare Society
“Rare Society is one of the best restaurants for our Christmas Eve dinner. The rib eye was so tender, even when asked for well done. Mine was a bit too charred on the outside, however. The rolls were delicious, hot, and melted in your mouth. The ceasar salad was the best I had with so much cheese! The service was wonderful and attentive. Worth a visit for that special occasion.”
73
Urban Plates
“This place is fantastic! Their food is all cooked in house and especially as a parent of 2, their service is impeccable. Juanita helped with our meal and even grabbed us some items when our toddler threw his utensils down in defiance. We had a salmon Caesar salad and tomato basil soup. Both were flavorful and the soup was actually vegan! Would come here again in a heartbeat.”

Juice Wave
“Best acai bowls in San Diego! Gets all the produce at local farmers markets and everything is fresh and delicious. Great seasonal flavors and toppings for the bowls and smoothies.Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian, vegan options, and gluten free”
“This everbowl is friendly and outgoing. They take care of you with a smile on there face and ask how your doing. The atmosphere is amazing and would come back again and again! Joe was super nice and helped me out and asked me questions.”
“Just got off a long day of work and wanted a relaxing salad and a beer. I went to The Shop Pizza and got there Chopped salad (chopped chopped baby gems, roasted chicken, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, bacon, candied pecans, goat cheese, house-made ranch.) with a beer. Even though I had this one once before (early summer when they first opened), I had to try it for the second time. This time it was even better!! They have it completely dailed in. Chef Jason working his magic behind the counter made this huge salad that can probably be easily split with a friend. I wanted to take half of it home but I ended up eating it all. Everything is hand made right in front of your eyes. So super fresh an delicious!!Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“Love the food. The service is awesome. Mai & Get make me feel very comfortable, and I got everything I needed on my first visit. I will definitely come back for more when am in the ”
“I wasn’t sure what to get, because I have some food aversions right now being pregnant. The staff was helpful to make some suggestions, and let me have the sauces on the side. I ended up having a falafel pita wrap with salad. It hit the spot, and the falafel was fresh with just a little bit of zip. I was surprised how good the tahini and Taziki were. Edgar was very kind to check on us, while I was eating. If you’re looking for a quick Mediterranean bite, and definitely recommend this location.”
“The food is okay, a bit too salty for me. I don’t understand that I need to pay the meal upfront and also tips upfront. The drink is little disappointed, but only 5 dollars in happy hours.”
“Took my first restorative yoga class here last night with my husband. Really enjoyed the teacher, the yoga studio was spacious and newly renovated, and great quality props provided. Really cool that you can grab a bite and glass of wine after class too, which I plan to do the next time I come for class.”
“The best Ethiopian restaurant in San Diego.Food is delicious ??, vegan options available. Customer service is 10/10. Price is reasonable for the good portion that is served.Don't miss out the tea, which is also the best.I highly recommend this restaurant.”
“Probably my new fave Cafe in DT SD. The staff are so kind and personable. The Pastries are out of this world delicious. We tried their tiramisu, rose and prep macaron, and lemon cake?I forgot what they're called, but it was soooo good.I also really love their signature orange latte!!!The space itself from the outside looks small but it is bigger inside, the decor gives off very monochromatic, calming vibe I will def be coming back!!!Edit: I went back the 2nd time to try the basque cheesecake and omg it was so decadent, light and fluffy. I couldn't stop eating it. All of the desserts I've tried so far has HIT. And yes, I got the orange blossom latte again, decaf with oatmilk - it was 7pm when I went”

Madi
“Madi was terrific. I have only been there twice, but in both instances received excellent food and service. I will definitely be back. Loved sitting out on the patio as well. There is a little road noise, but not too much.”

Thien Huong
“This was super yummy. I've never had the skillets here, but the flower paper dishes are delicious. Having them in little Saigon in Orange County, this is the best spot that is close to that caliber here in San Diego. I definitely recommend.”
“Carne asada taco, sope, and shrimp roll taco plus a modelo michelada. Yes please! The flavors of meat and sauces plus the corn was so tasty. Local SD review…Flor’s is an old town Mexican favorite now. A lot of restaurants are here in Old Town just because town needs Mexican food for tourists, but this is honestly top tacos in San Diego. My daughter even commented “these tacos taste like the ones in Mexico!”The atmosphere and seating were comfortable and family friendly. Beer cups available with homemade chamoy and tajin. Recommend it!”
“My favorite ever croissants. I’ve brought my entire (non vegan) family here one by one and they are just as obsessed as me.We got a cake once too and it was amazing. And I’m not even a cake girly. Also don’t miss the lemon bar ?Dietary restrictions: Vegan”

Phil's BBQ
“Can I give this spot a 10 star review?! First of all, when we rolled up to this location (Sports Arena in SD), we saw a line that went out the door and around the building. This, on a MONDAY! There's only one way to interpret this, that Phil's is a highly popular BBQ spot. So when we decided to line up, my wife mentioned to me that this spot is LEGIT!After ordering our food and noting that the girl taking our order was very friendly, my wife let me know that this is one of her favorite BBQ places. The food came quickly, and OH MY GOD, the portions were huge! And I'm talking huge! We ordered way more than we could eat (I felt bad) and had to take it home. Not only that, but our server who came to check on us was very accommodating, he ended up moving two tables together to help seat us all. Most of all, the food tasted so good! ??? Not spicy hot, but the food was AWESOME! Even though I was so full I couldn't eat any more, I'm definitely looking forward to having the leftovers tomorrow, and hopefully we can visit Phil's again in the near future!”
“This place is beyond amazing! Not only LOCAL and FAMILY owned and operated, they do amazing work for the community. The food is absolutely delicious too! This is a wonderful place to visit by yourself, on a date, with family or friends, or meeting to with colleagues!”

Baja Betty's
“Dash is honestly the best waiter I have had in a very long time. Personable, funny, and so attentive. Our food was delicious and always, Hillcrest is always a hit!! The patio area is beautiful”
“Don't know where to start. I wish there was more stars to give. Customer service was outstanding extremely kind people. Real pizza artist. Feels so fresh in the restaurant along with every ingredient in the food. Thank you guys for ur hard work”
“For those who enjoy cooking at home, Assenti's delivers high quality pasta. So far, I've tried the black squid linguini and spaghetti. The pasta is fresh and soft with a delicious flavor. From their freezer, I've eaten their eggplant parmesan. I just purchased their frozen lobster ravioli and am looking forward to trying it. I know I won't be disappointed. Service was always quick and friendly on two separate visits. The store isn't large, but it's spacious, clean, bright and well organized.”
“Very nice restaurant with a great view of La Jolla sunset! Open air with inside and outside dining. Large drink menu, Coastal Italian cuisine. Bartenders are the best. Servers are very friendly and attentive, Casual dress, I will be back!”
“Love East Village Brewing Co. The atmosphere and decor is fabulous and Dana the Manager is awesome! ? and Bonehead is the best burger in San Diego… love those Bonehead Boys ?”
“The food was delicious and service was excellent but the ambulance was terrible due to how loud it is, been there for a Saturday dinner and I needed earplugs to avoid ear pain with how loud a few tables are. I understand it's out of control of the restaurant how the other patrons behave. The restaurant was spot on for their food and service.”
“Everyone was so courteous and helpful. It was my Mom's 86th birthday and everyone treated her royally. I've always loved this restaurant. The food is excellent and the surroundings just perfect!”
“Great spot to get grilled fish and oyster dishes. Clam chowder was excellent. All the food felt flavorful and fresh. You get to make your own combination of fish, grilling style and plating style, which is pretty cool. Would have been a regular customer if I lived there.”

Village Vino
“"You're going to love this spot! We've been coming here for years!" with a warm smile, the woman gracefully slid from her window seat and picked up her bag. We delightfully took her newly-vacated spot and looked at each other with a grin. Score! Between the cozy ambiance, the delightful staff, and the sheer number of bottles in the room, I immediately understood how Village Vino had become her neighborhood favorite. We absolutely loved the wine flight, which was themed around "campfire" and had four generous pours. Each had an entirely unique flavor that kept us intrigued, from a hint of smoke to a taste of cherry, from a delicate whiff of lemon to a flavor of fig jam. Our favorite was the white wine, a bombino blanco that had notes of cantaloupe, Meyer lemon, and a crisp, balanced flavor. We didn't order the appetizers, as we were headed for a group dinner. However, they looked creative and whimsical, with an elevated take on a classic campfire hotdog and a cheddar corn muffin among the offering.Overall, a sweet, if cramped spot for a few excellent wines enjoyed in good company.”

Burma Place
“Stopped in as a last minute idea for lunch. This was our first time having Burmese food and would not have been happier. We had the crispy calamari, the sesame beef, and the fish stew and each one tasted great. This will become one of our regular go to restaurants in the area. Cannot wait to try other dishes.”
“Excellent food!!! I can't say anything bad about this place other than it doesn't have a bathroom. We had the cheese steak sandwich and coconut shrimp. The food was top quality and the flavor was super delicious! Can't wait to eat here again! This is a must stop restaurant for anyone visiting from out of town. Cream of the crop for San Diego dinning!”

“Busy, food good. Sat on the top deck (they had heaters on so a bit hot at first, kind enough to turn down to low for me &table next to me). Staff friendly.Liked the fajitas - felt like not enough meat compared to vegetables on it & quite few of those pork pieces were a little too crispy for me, only get 3 tortillas.Margarita was a little too sour for my taste.”
“Our third time here. Our first visit, over a year ago was very disappointing. It was very loud, they were an hour late in seating us (despite having reservations) and never acknowledged the special occasion. Returned last Sept, as our guest wanted to go, and had an excellent experience. Went last night and was pleased. The room was quiet, we could actually speak in low tones. Food was very good. The waitress was alright but not always attentive. Overall a good experience, we will return.”
“The perfect place to grab your morning bite and a little jumpstart for the day. The all new menu including smoothies and shakes was the best idea ever to already accompany the wonderful options for coffee and tea. Staff is super friendly, very attentive and they make the best chai tea latte I’ve had in a long time. If you need a run down of the menu, they can assist you in making the right choice, which probably isn’t easy because they have so many delicious items to choose from! I will be back to try one of the incredible looking breakfast burritos they have to offer. Thank you again Sea Ridge Coffee!!”
“I don’t understand the low reviews. My coworkers from India recommended this place to me.The Chicken Tikka Masala has a lot of flavor, very balanced and not too spicy. It has a good amount of chicken and herbs. The butter chicken is also very delicious.Best dish is by far the Biryani, don’t be gentle with sauce and yogurt. Douse it. And make sure you mix it around. The naan was a good size, fluffy, well cooked.Very happy and will come again.”
“We came in with a party of 10, got seated promptly, everything we ordered came out fresh and it was BOMB! Truly recommend this spot, we’ll be back again for sure. Shout out to our server Wayne! Great service!”
“Had such a great time with a few friends; the food was amazing and we got to eat upstairs in this private little room. Our waitress was so much fun and provided excellent service- the owners came in and said hello. It felt good to be at a family owned and operated restaurant. 10/10 thank you!”
“Pretty good! Not the best I’ve had but right up there! Guys working were very friendly. The Santa Fe, I think it was, wasn’t nearly as spicy as I expected (or wanted). But it was clean and priced well.”
“Absolutely the most of the most! The veggies are abundant fresh and crispy. the pork is tender and flavorful and the tiny rice noodles are hot and well cooked. they serve it with large lettuce leaves that you wrap all the goodies up as a Vietnamese burrito. and dip it into a flavorful sauce called fish sauce but it is not fishy and does not taste like fish. Tops! Every dish is tops. and the soups are also fun to try. A fun meal pretty much describes the Saigon Restaurant. Thank you, Victor. He's the top cheese there. I'm so happy this restaurant survived the pandemic.”
“OMG! Had the tamales for the 1st time. We each had 2 but will have 1 next time so good, so filling, so delicious. My mouth waters as I write this review. I'll drive the distance to get more.”
“Been coming here since it opened! The backyard is amazing such a cool place to hangout and go for happy hour. Staff is always so kind and fast, really recommend ”
“Allow me to explain the reasons why I love Seek Brewing. First, the beer is expertly brewed, clean fermentations, with proper fermenting times creates a level of lager brewing that few can match in San Diego. Every lager has been outstanding. This is why you’ll see other long time SD brewers hanging out here. Not a lager drinker? No worries, the line of pale ales, West coast IPAs and hazy IPAs should fulfill just about everyone’s drink needs, even a few fruited sour beers are available. The Room: Small cozy interior with a small bar and a few tables. Bright with a modern simple design logo that bucks the trends for most breweries. The Patio: This is a large outdoor communal space (shared by the three breweries) that offers picnic tables, comfy patio chairs, a janga set, dart boards, and corn-hole boards. Food trucks and pop-up food vendors provide the eats. It’s a great place to enjoy the SD sunshine. The People: This is the best part, from the owners to the warm welcoming beer-tenders who make you feel like a part of the family. One particular staff member is the amazing Savanna whose personal good natured charm could melt an iceberg, she’s knowledgeable about the products and truly a great beer-tender.Get some!”

“This place is easily 5 stars! Super friendly and welcoming. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. They are definitely passionate about their restaurant and it shows. The food was delicious. There are so many awesome looking dishes on the menu. We can't wait to come back and try more of their food!Vegetarian options: This place has lots of options for vegetarian folks!”
“Delicious, satisfying, and majestic. It was what I imagined royalty tastes like and it immediately followed up everything with an aftertaste of baseball nostalgia.”
“Kieth, Shelby, and Johnny are the best. Very friendly and kind. My parents are 89 and love their sandwiches and fries. My dad says their sandwiches are the best in San Diego.”

“Walked here all the way from the Gas Lamp Quarter and we were not disappointed. We wanted to sit by the water and the hostess was really perfect, and though crowded, we were immediately seated dock side with views of the maritime museum. After drinks, we had a dozen fresh oysters. My follow up main course was the Salmon and it was delicious.Overhead heaters kept us toasty warm, even though it was night and things were cooling off by the water.”
“If you have a special event, celebrate at Seneca! We celebrated a birthday here and they customized our menus with a personalized message! This was the classiest and most thoughtful touch that truly made our entire dinner. It just added to the already incredible experience we had.”
“We had a fantastic birthday celebration for my son at Benihana San Diego yesterday! Our party of seven was comfortably seated around the teppanyaki table (which sits eight). From the moment we walked in, the customer service was excellent. The hostess greeted us warmly, and our server was attentive and helpful throughout the entire meal. But the real star of the show was our chef, Jake! He was hilarious and engaging, making my son's birthday extra special with his cooking skills and entertaining tricks. We had a wonderful time, and I highly recommend making a reservation, especially for larger parties. Just a heads-up, parking can be limited. They offer valet parking for $8, but keep in mind they don't accept cash for valet - they do take Venmo though!Overall, it was a fantastic birthday experience, and we'll definitely be back to Benihana San Diego!Parking: Valet $8.00, no cashKid-friendliness: Sign up for Kabuki Kids online and receive a complimentary mug on their birthday”
“Service from Dimitar was absolutely incredible! We were seated in the outdoor seating when it began to rain harder and offered to move us to a corner booth after he had already turned on the patio heaters and served us water. He was very patient, and as we placed our order, he gave us great recommendations that proved to be delicious in the end. The food arrived hot, and everyone was happy with their choices as the plates had hardly a crumb left. We had come out to celebrate #3s Bday, and she was able to enjoy a very flavorful mango cake.Just FYI, but apparently, there's a "healthcare surcharge (4.00%)" automatically added to the bill.Overall, the pace was clean, had some great ambiance, and allowed the bday girl to bring her dog in (outdoor seating). We ordered shredded chicken for the dog ($6.00) and were surprised with the serving. Dimitar was very attentive and accommodating. No one left hungry. Highly recommended and will be back.Parking: We came for lunch on an overcast Saturday that turned to rain. There were several open parking spots in front of the restaurant”
“Clean, friendly, an we had the most awesome server! She is the best.Parking: We got there at 11:30 no parking issue, but heard if you come later it can get difficult”
“Last night was the second time this week I took friends visiting SD to dinner at Brigantine. I have so many favorites that it's hard to decide what to order. Last night we shared the shrimp and crab dip and we all enjoyed it. I ordered the Louie salad and took half home since it is a large portion. My friends both ordered the seared ahi tuna entree and they really liked it. Our server was attentive and professional as most are at this restaurant. The noise level was better than usual since it was a rainy night and the restaurant wasn't full. I am fortunate to live just 2 blocks away from Portside Pier.”
“This place is nice! We went for dinner. The atmosphere was lively on a weekday, so I imagine it could get way busier on the weekend. I can understand why the pricing is a little on the higher side. The portions are decently sized and good quality. We did not order any nigiri or sashimi in exception to the Yellowtail Serrano. From the many things we tried, I would recommend the Akira Back Pizza and Rock Shrimp Tempura - not to say that the other items we ordered weren't delicious... it's just these 2 items are special enough to come back for.”
“I love dining at STK especially during happy hour! Nick is one of the most phenomenal bartenders ever, entertaining and a total superstar, always makes everything a great time. Then there is Scott, GM who is attentive, welcoming and makes sure you have the best experience. I love this place! Gives off sexy vibes, great for intimate dining, big parties or celebrations.”
“You have to come here for a nice, relaxing dinner. The staff is great, the food is really good, drinks are excellent, if you get a patio seat that make it’s nicer. We had the crab dip (very crabby), Cesar salad, seared salmon plate, and pork prime with the bone. All the food was awesome. It was out 18th year anniversary and they surprised us with an awesome flan dessert. The overall experience was really nice.”
“I visited with my coworkers for lunch. Beautiful restaurant, nice tables, chairs, and decorations. The red meats were delicious and salad bar was delicious as well. The seafood platter we ordered was not, it was rubbery tasteless and just not good. I would definitely come ”
“I love the ambiance- young, energetic. Space is open and in the center of happening in Little Italy. Food plating very good- I had chicken tenders and waffle- adequate balance between sweet, salty, and spicy. Mimosas flight- creative choice of fruits juices( prickly pear, watermelon...). Check the sliming mirror in front of restroom :)”
“Came here for my dad's birthday for dinner and it definitely did not disappoint! Love that this place is on Harbor Island, which perfect views of downtown San Diego in the distance. We sat inside since it was a little cold outside, but the outside looked awesome as well! Plus they had heaters going as well. Ambiance is very cool, since it is labeled as a light house with perfect placement as well. Food was delicious, from the calamari to the paella, scallops and braised short ribs that we tried. Waitress was very attentive and many other assistants came by to help clear the table throughout the evening. For dessert we had the brownie and crème Brûlée which were both good. Overall, will continue to come back whenever I am in town. Reservations are a must!”
“I have hosted corporate events here a few times over the last few years and it has always been a great experience. Its close to the convention center for the convenience of our crowd and we always get comments about the delicious food and drinks. Working with Arian is so easy and the staff we had working our event in 2023 was amazing as always (Julian, Bobby, Natalie, Kyle, Ashleigh)”

“This place is beyond delicious! The chicken tacos, the creamy corn, and passion fruit lemonade were my favorite. My daughter got the tamarind chicken sandwich and that was amazing as well. The service was great, Jesus was very attentive to our needs. Try this place out!”
“Stopped by for take-out this weekend and the service was great. I called in my order and was out the door with my food in less than 15 minutes--on a Friday! One of the best Thai restaurants in San ”
“So pleasantly surprised by this place! We got the both XLB flavors, a couple of the dumplings, orange chicken and chicken chow mein. The noodles in the chow mein were slightly overcooked but that didn't take away from the flavor. All the dumplings were delicious and the orange chicken was some of the best I've had. Crispy and sweet but not overly sweet. We have picky kids and all of them devoured the food. Prices were fair and we are looking forward to returning! Service was great, waitstaff were nice and food came out quick!”
“This is now one of my favorite places to go to. It is so great. The services excellent in the food taste. So good. The pizza was absolutely on point.Vegetarian options: You can get any Pasta without any. Thing so it's actually go to”
“My husband and I decided to try this place on a whim since we were in the area. While it is a little on the pricey side, the food is completely worth it. They have the best spicy tuna I have ever had. It wasn't about nuking your taste buds, but a pleasant warmth that enhanced the taste of the tuna. Definitely order the Luna Lemon! We will have to come back because we saw the table next to us order some takoyaki and it looked amazing. I do recommend making reservations for weekend dinner, it was busy there!”
“Had a chance to visit Malibu Farms at the seaport area when visiting San Diego with the girls and it was awesome! This location is right in front of the water and has good food and awesome vibes. The service was fast and efficient and the food portions were large for what you pay. I ended up getting the chicken bacon burger which came with a salad and a broccoli potato mash. This was yummy and juicy. The portions were so much I actually couldn't finish it! Overall food was yummy, views were great and company was perfect!”
“Cannot stress how good the food is at this place! The Burrata and Mortadella sandwich is easily in the top 3 sandwiches I’ve ever eaten, and quite possibly #1.Everything from the sandwich, to the side salad, to the cucumber lemonade was top notch. Will definitely be back.”
“I was really impressed by their service, especially the cashier Amin made my day ! I walked in for the first time and was really confused on what to get. Amin was really helpful in describing the menu, and had a friendly positive attitude. I felt real good for the first time, has been a great experience!”
“I came in with my family for dinner based on a recommendation and am so happy that this place delivered! Such a great little Lao spot. We ordered the nam khao, crying tiger beef, Lao sausage, and laap tuna. All slapped but the nam khao was extra good, A++. Quick service despite it being a busy Saturday night and impeccable music :)”
“The original acai. The best in town!I love the passion fruit cream topping. Also the cheese bread and cold mate tea are amazing ??Come check out the new location pacific beach.747 emerald st.”
“The burgers here are PERFECT! So juicy and delicious, and those brioche buns are like a cherry on top The owner is simply the sweetest and the food is so quick! Highly recommend this place”
“My family came for lunch on a weekday, the place was very clean! The food came fast and was very delicious. The Philly Cheese steak was Soo good! Service was friendly and attentive!Kid-friendliness: They have activity place mats to keep kids busy.”
“Ordered the Side Chick and fries. Using Crack Shack as a baseline, Not disappointed, sandwich was great, wish I would've got one with some heat - next time... Overall, it's a solid 8.5 out of 10. Cannot beat that price ($12 with fries) point and this location is extremely convenient!!! Pictures next visit - very soon...”
