Best Persian restaurant in SF! Came visiting from LA with my boyfriend and we could not be happier with the service and food! Highly recommend

Amazing service!! Aidan was so kind and helpful and was very attentive. The appetizers were great. The Kash badenjan and tahdig were my favorite. The koobideh and the chicken were quite juicy. The views are nice inside too of Van Ness. Thank you Aidan again

When I discovered this restaurant on Yelp it was at just the right moment. I was yearning for home with my sweet partner who is half Persian and the food that is of that culture. I ordered what was familiar and I received so much more...filled with generosity and tremendous flavor, I had two full meals and more. Thank you for this wonderful to go experience and I look forward to an in person experience. Bless you!

Friendly, great ambience, excellent service. I had the fesenjoon, which is hard to get right but was done well here. Highly recommended

I love Greek Mediterranean Turkish Arabic etc food and have had good success with Persian before, this is a swing and miss for me. The kabob ingredient I liked the most was ironically my least favorite vegetable in the tomato, the rice was excessive and strange, and the yogurt soda was savory. So it was not for me. The store was dead 1 on Saturday and across me being here 4 days I never saw someone inside.

Virtually nothing on the menu for vegetarians, if you want a main course. Server was attentive and kind, but the menu is just very disappointing for anybody not wishing to eat meat.

Delicious! It was a chilly weekend night so decided on takeout....fesanjan with chicken was perfect. Overall it was a large portion that could easily serve two or make great dinner the next day. Came with warm bread, the 1/2 onion was wrapped as a option on the side ..I sliced into slivers and it really made the rich stew sharper. This came with a measure of dried lime too, again, added it into the sauce and subtle flavor really kicked this up a level. A perfect balance of tart/sweet, great rice. The 4-5 chicken chunks in the sauce were very tender , small chunks of white meat (and no odd bits) Google showed it was closed, but definitely open. Dining was very empty around 630 but looked bright and cheery from what I could see. Definitely a place I'm keeping on a regular rotation, will explore more dishes. Overall, very worthwhile.

The kabob is delicious, but the rice could be better…. The restaurant was cold, and there was no air conditioner. There is a shared restroom with another restaurant, which is not clean enough.Parking: You should find parking on the street. On my visit, it was not difficult to find.

Soo good! I've been crazing Iranian food in the city and came across Alborz. The gormeh sabzi was delicious and had the perfect about of dried lime, which I feel like a lot of Persian places miss. Their tahdig is also so good. Highly recommend. Merci!

In SF branch you could smell the old wet carpet. The carpet looks old and dirty throughout the restaurant. There was only one waiter serving the entire restaurant. The restaurant was very cold and food, chai and everything else went cold right away. I recommend this place for takeout maybe.

This is one of SF's oldest Persian establishments. Worth giving them a try. They are the only Persian restaurant in the bay that makes the tahdeek with crispy bread instead of crispy rice. (The bread version is tastier and harder to make). They were very gracious with tahdeek portioning and even topped it off with saffron rice. Support these guys, dine in, takeout. Let's keep them here in SF!

On Saturday night, Santa con day and there is no staff in this place. Only one person is doing hosting and serving! This should not be the way a business is
