Great food, excellent service. One of the Indian restaurants that has great service, ambiance and food. Would recommend it to anyone! They also have a buffet over the weekend that looked like it has a lot of options. To note, portions are large.

For the food, the chai, the dessert, and my new best friend Martin he checked up on us often, provided great dish recommendations, and offered extra tea. Great food and service!

Indian food...he mumbled it twice, then he said "Let's go get some real authentic Indian food, I know a spot...it's called Amber Indian Restaurant" It was clear across town but well worth the effort, he told me.We had just finished the first of three phases on the Ranglecapper Relay for Hippo Mary out on Sloat Blvd, and my little helper Queezy Aspuck says he wants Indian food, on top of that.. he wants to go to the other side of the city to get it! Well, Queezy was right the food was Amazing! ☆☆☆☆☆

Wow what a cool experience walking into such a great atmosphere. Got seated right away on a Saturday night. Spice lovers might enjoy this place. I ordered the least spiciest vegan item on the menu and it was still too spicy!Vegetarian options: Kale kofta and more

TLDR: The food is good but expensive. Came here on a Saturday night and was pretty easy to get a reservation day of and/or walk in without a reservation. The staff is friendly and service is pretty quick. We ordered way too much food because the portions were bigger than we thought (especially the biryani). My favorite dishes were probably the bhindi masala and the butter chicken. Overall I would go back but it's pretty expensive (a basic martini was almost $20).

Amber India is a gem in the Indian culinary landscape, a truly authentic Indian cuisine! From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by a decor that blends traditional Indian elements with a contemporary flair. It's just the perfect ambiance that I haven't been able to find in any Indian restaurant in the USA (believe me, I've been to Indian restaurants all over the country over the last 7 years!). At the heart of Amber India's appeal is, undoubtedly, the food. The kitchen produces dishes that are a testament to the rich culinary traditions of India. Each recipe has the perfect spice level and flavor to it! It is the closest you could get to the perfect Indian food. The authenticity is unparalleled! All curries are perfectly spiced, naans are always fresh and every dish is very aromatic and full of genuine flavors. The drink menu at Amber India is really a delightful surprise! Whether you're in the mood for a classic Indian lassi, a craft cocktail infused with exotic spices, or a selection from their carefully curated wine list, each beverage is crafted to enhance the flavors of your meal. The professionalism of the staff at Amber India is unparalleled. Each member of the team goes above and beyond to ensure guests feel valued and taken care of. Their knowledge of the menu and attention to detail in service contribute significantly to the dining experience, making every visit memorable. What sets Amber India apart is its ability to offer such high-quality food and drinks at incredibly good prices. This commitment to value without compromising on quality or experience is rare and deserves commendation.

I’ve been here a couple of times. But today was the most disappointing experience. This restaurant has collapsed in the last 12 months. Not worth the price. Service is terrible. Food is disgusting. To serve me tandoori chicken with quinoa, that does not have any flavor is simply horrible. The quinoa was disgusting. The 5 single bite size pieces of tandoori chicken actually just had the coloring but not the spices. Such a wonderfully overpriced bland dish.Who serves quinoa with Indian food? Nobody. No normal northern Indian restaurant would dare serve quinoa with tandoori.I would’ve gotten more food from a six piece packet of chicken McNuggets. I also would’ve gotten more flavor.Drag the cook out of the kitchen and send them to the place where bad cooks life a life of shame and exile.
