Extremely generous portions, everything looked good but I opted for the chocolate croissant. My sister asked how many people I was sharing with. I had my first Mexican Mocha and I wasn't disappointed. Not being from the Bay Area, I had to bring back a sourdough baguette to my hotel. You just can't get this where I live in SC.
i would like to make one suggestion. raise the open baked goods shelving so that none of the goods are so close to the ground, despite the glass swivel doors. it's offputting to think about reaching in to grab your cookies when they are like one inch from the floor....
I like the food and am a big fan of the vibe and the people who are working there.

Arizmendi Valencia Bakery is one of the favorite bakeries in SF. The location is more spacious than the one on 9th, making it easier to see and make selections from the self-serve cases. It has more options than the Irving street location. The food is always so good and fresh. The vegan sweets are solid all around. The kombucha is refreshing, and the Sally pecan rolls are absolutely incredible. The corn cherry (now cranberry) scones, bran muffins, and regular bread rolls are amazing. The pizza is fun. The ginger cookies and seasonal shortcakes are absolute favorites. The cheese rolls are a must. The weekly special pies, like the matcha berry pie, are memorable. There isn’t much room for sit down or large parties; the place is more set up to go.
