Balompié Cafe #3 Reviews
Balompie #3 is our go to for salvadorean breakfast. Service is always friendly and the food is always delicious. The food is an excellent value and you leave saying yummmmm.....Vegetarian options: Platanos with beans and cheese and sour cream
This Salvadorian neighborhood family restaurant is exactly what it should be, a local haunt where great homemade food is served, and the people in the Mission know it's delicious. The soup and papussas were on my menu for the night. The hearty broth, the mixed vegetables and the chunks of tender beef is what you want on a cold damp day.Kid-friendliness: This is a family restaurant

I'm not a big fan of Balompie #3 I still prefer the #1, with that said since last time I was here they improved on the wait time between ordering and getting the food served but unfortunately the quality went down. I ordered a Salpicon and the meat was chewy, the flavor very thick in an unpleasant way and it was mixed with a lot more veggies than ever plus the potion definitely smaller. This feels like a strategy to serve less meat for more money. The pupusas are ok.
