We went for lunch and were surprised by the place, cozy, pleasant and with excellent service. We got a plate of pasta and a calzone, we split it into 3 and it was more than enough. The food was excellent and the price was fair!I recommend the place to visit and have a meal.

I can't believe it took so long for me to visit! Went last Monday. Quiet enough, no reservation and 30 minutes to close. Will be back for more.

Excellent food, great service. Wine selection included options from Coppola's own winery! The affogato was to die for.Loved the short story dispenser they had!

Definitely worth a go! We were having a wander after work not sure where to go for dinner and came across this place. It was quaint and nicely decorated and lucky for us they had a table available. Everyone enjoyed the dinner and the wine, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

This was my second time eating at Zoetrope. The atmosphere at this restaurant is outstanding, but the food was mediocre. We ordered the pizza marinara and insulate finocchio, and both lacked flavor. Despite the cool vibe, I would probably not return.

I usually stop by after work to grab a cocktail and people watch. The Cesar salad is good, I love the meatballs and typically order them Al a carte and 2 to 3 are enough to make a meal out of it.

We had a wine tasting there with wine from Francis F. Coppolas vineyard in Napa Valley. A great visit for movie geeks and the wine was yummy!

We had an absolutely amazing time and meal at Cafe Zoetrope. If we still had a home in the Bay Area I'd have a table with my name permanently branded on it. This restaurant feels like the old North Beach San Francisco district I remember. It couldn't be better! Bravo!

Francis Ford Coppola wrote the iconic movie, the Godfather. He bought this building back in 1972 to be a homebase for his movie work, and later opened this restaurant. The restaurant was named for Francis Coppola's venerable production company, American Zoetrope. This place has some of the best coffee in SF. The staff is generally quite helpful. A popular item that people rave about is the Salmone Affumigato Sandwich. It has smoked salmon, avocado, tomato, and arugula in freshly baked Puccia bread. At $17 it is not cheap, but then again what is in SF these days. This place can get busy during the lunch rush, so we try to time our visits for mid afternoon. Its open on week nights till 7pm and weekend until 8pm. Parking is very challenging as this is on the busiest section of Kearny.
