Overall a great experience, but I would avoid sitting on the second floor as the smoke from the kitchen rises.

Lovely neighborhood spot with delightful Louisiana cuisine in the Stanyan / Cole Valley area!I'm vegetarian and Creole cuisine is always tricky because seemingly vegetarian dishes (e.g. rice & beans) often contain chicken stock or ham. CreoLA does a great job of creating vegetarian food that's authentic and not an afterthought. They have a vegetarian jambalaya that's amazing! The wild mushrooms in it are juicy and full of flavor and it makes me happy I can taste the beautiful flavors of Creole cooking. Also recommended are the hush puppies and the beignets. My partner loves the catfish here and says the fish is cooked just right and it's never over done.

The place is very cute. The food is ok. As someone from the south craving some good down home cooking this didn't quite make the cut. I had the fried chicken with the Cajun jambalaya rice and collard greens as my sides. Best thing on my plate was the collard greens. Everything else was good but not great.

Got the lunch special - Pear salad+fried chicken entree with the shrimp grits and jambalaya as sides + dessert. Was so satisfying for $28 Soup/salad + entree with sides (if that is part of the original menu option) + a beignetThe lunch special allows you to sort of sample the whole menu at manageable portion sizes and left us feeling quite full. We needed a walk after :)Ambience was charming. There is a loft area where we were seated. Can't comment much on how busy it gets usually because we there on a random weekday afternoon and there was plenty of seating available. Service was friendly, pleasant and attentive. We had a really nice time and would come back.

Came here with a reservation on a weekend for lunch. Very cute restaurant with a second floor, which gives more privacy. The menu is similar to the one in San Carlos (I went there for the first time last year I think). We got the wild mushroom jambalaya (love the corn bread!!!), crawfish etouffée, the croquette that has chicken liver (very yummy with the paring sauce), as well as rice and beans for the side. Service was really nice too, and the store location is just a block or two away from golden gate park. Parking is not the easiest to find, but we had a nice walk in the park afterwards!

The most Incredible Creole food I've ever had. Wonderful staff. Sweet warm ambiance. Fresh from the gulf absolutely amazing food. Homemade and truly a special gem. This place is a MUST go.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, excellent food quality. Service was slow for dine in considering there were not many people. The etoufee is the closest I've tasted to the real thing outside of New Orleans.Would return.

I ordered the veggie meal which was very well thought through and prepared. Service was attentive without being annoying. For a small space, the layout and design are good.

Food was not tasty nor consistent. Some things were fine but some were pretty poor. Not at all dialed it.Service was warm and effort was made, but things didn't click.Everything seemed overextended not at all crafted or practiced.I wish I could rate higher!
