Chain steak restaurant in the heart of SF downtown. The food is good with lots of meat options. If want to get the attention of the servers, make sure to sit down with the large crowds. You don't be left out at a corner somewhere on your own. Drinks are more expensive than average and not as good so I suggest libations at any of the bars around downtown. The salad bar is good with lots of cold appetizer choices. If go around 1-2p, you can get the dinner meat selection with lunch prices.

I have been a devoted client of Espetus since I first discovered them in 2021. Their cuts are juicy and tender, and the variety is great for both lunch and dinner... my favorites are the Picanha and the grilled pineapple. The salad bar is exquisite and has great options too. The service is the best part! The hosts, servers and bussers are all very nice and welcoming, always making sure the patrons understand the dynamics of a steak house and are enjoying the experience.

Very few places manage to get everything perfect. Espetus easily stands as one of these.

Took too long for them to come to my table. Also, sounds unappetizing. Sounds like asbestos.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! It's a glorified buffet line with bad salad bar offerings. The paella was so mushy, the prawns were mealy & it was cold. I came there after reading on yelp it's a nice place for a solo diner. IF YOU ARE A SOLO DINER, AVOID THIS PLACE!!! All I wanted was a filet mignon steak with baked potato & salad. No one--not a waiter or cloying maitre d' nobody--ever bothered to mention it's a $75 all you can eat tacky buffet. The meat was well-done. I asked for medium rare, came out cold & unseasoned. I ordered one cocktail. For this I had to pay over $100. I miss Piafs, a lovely French bistro that once stood on this spot. This place is a RIP-OFF. You would think that the manager would offer me a partial refund due to the misunderstanding & the fact it was clear I only wanted a traditional filet steak dinner--but no. He charged me full price & when I said that I would not pay more than $50 He THREATENED TO CALL THE POLICE. Needless to say, I was appalled & will never ever come back.

came to celebrate my birthday on Wednesday and we had made reservations since we've never been here before, but it wasn't needed since they weren't busy inside. The inside has low lighting and big glass windows to look outside which was nice during a rainy night. When we sat down we were greeted immediately, got waters, and our waiter explained how ordering meats worked. There was a little sign that you flip to green when you're ready for meat, then to red when you need a break. The people carrying the meat were always walking around with meats and would ask how you preferred the temperature on the red meats. When it came to the salad bar, there were a lot of different options to choose from to pair with your meats. However, some of the sides I'd pick were on the cold side so I was a little let down there. Towards the end of our meal, we ordered a double shot of henny and a double shot of Jameson and when we got our bill the shots were $38 each. In my opinion, a double shot shouldn't be the same price of an entire bottle, so that's something to avoid if that matters to you! Overall, it was a good experience for the first time. From the host, to the server, and all the people walking around with meats, everyone was super kind. Next time I'm in the yay area, I'll definitely be back
