One of the best Italian restaurants in the US. The gnocchi is some of the best in the world and is always fresh and delicious. The service is amazing and this is a true authentic Italian restaurant. Bravo!!!

Had the chicken parm. It was delicious, juicy, and not overcooked. The sauce might be a too salty for my liking. Also, found it fairly pricy at $38.Escargo was yummy. The other appetizers you can probably go without. Also didn’t realize bread costs $3.50.The waitress seems to be one of the owners daughter. She was kind and super helpful. Really great to hear the history.

I just want to start by saying that I have genuinely never had worse service than I had here. I was actually shocked. Not only was it inattentive, our waiter was downright rude and impatient from the very beginning.I will say that the gnocchi was pretty good. Definitely not typical gnocchi in that the texture was very different but altogether I enjoyed my dish. However, two people in our party ordered the ravioli and it was practically inedible. So bad.We will not be returning. Especially when there are so many other great Italian restaurants in the city.

Extremely subpar and overpriced Italian food. They must have changed the chef.

Might have been an off night but had a surprisingly bad experience. Waitstaff was rude and made us feel very rushed. Pasta was overcooked and lacked flavor. Pricey for how rude everyone was!

Had an amazing dinner with friends before taking in a show. Staff and owners were welcoming and friendly, it helped we had a regular patron in our company. Got VIP treatment throughout the dining experience.. Food was cooked to perfection, not too overpowering with just the right amount of garlic!! Cocktails were prepared equally to perfection. Loved the neighborhood vibe, an authentic SF experience. I’ll definitely be back!Parking: Parking right around the corner, one block from restaurant!

A true Italian family owned restaurant, authentic to its heritage and its future. It was such a wonderful experience, it will be a destination for our next trip to San Francisco.

Love this traditional Italian restaurant in North Beach! It's a favorite with the menu filled with exceptional Italian entrees. A lively bar and restaurant a glow with happy patrons. The most delicious gnocchi outside of Italy. When my cousin from Italy came for a visit he stated this restaurant has the best and most authentic food he tasted during his trip to California. The staff is always welcoming and very attentive. The drinks delish and the food is never disappointing no matter which dish you decide upon!

This place is treasure. Four of us have been celebrating our birthdays here for more than 30 years. I have had banquets here. I have had romantic dinners here. Paulo, Nadia, and Sergio are the best. I cannot live without their gnocchi. We usually get a table portion as an appetizer, so we can occasionally eat something else! Menu is varied and food is excellent. Wine list is outstanding (Amarone!). The service is always welcoming, personal, and attentive. Old world, family owned vibe, with my favorite Italian food in the city. We will always go here for fine and festive dinners. Abbodanza!

Unpleasant service. We just came for some starters and a drink. Still, we were importuned by the waiter to order the main dish. He poked us and reminded us several times. Perhaps understandable it the restaurant would be full, but even so not in such a manner. The food acceptable, but no comparison to what I am used to in Italy
