So, I finally decided to check out the Four Barrel Coffee spot in Mission. Stepping inside, I instantly vibed with the cool, laid-back atmosphere--it was like walking into a coffee lover's paradise. Even though it was my first time there, it felt oddly familiar, like I was among friends. As I was chatting with the baristas, the topic casually shifted to my recent Four Barrel coffee fix at in Berkeley. It was kind of funny how they immediately connected the dots and knew it was @LavenderBakery and started talking about the owners by name. The whole interaction felt so genuine and warm. Anyway, I ended up going with my usual Americano, and man, it did not disappoint. That creamy foam on top and the rich taste--it was exactly what I needed to kickstart my day. And knowing that there's more coffee adventures ahead just makes it all the better.

Love this place! Great latte and amazing ambiance. I got a latte and the beans hit just right. They also have a coffee tasting set up when I went on a weekend afternoon at around 2pm. It was very cool to be able to try all the different beans. I would go back again if I'm in the area!

One of the worse lattes I have ever had. Management should higher adult supervision for the teenage girls that work there. They are more interested in gossiping amongst themselves than making a quality product.

I am a coffee enthusiast but by no means a coffee expert or have a fine palate. I recently discovered honeycomb toffee latte at a korean bakery and I thought that was fantastic. So to come in and see a very simple menu with no fluff and paying almost $7 for a 12 oz latte is alarming to me. That being said, they do make latte art and the flavor of coffee is unique and aromatic. They will tell you are paying for quality and not quantity. The guy who rung me up was friendly and helpful. They also have a dozen options of pastries in a tiny display case by the register. This place does get busy though, I see a line of people as I was heading out.

Always loved this place. The coffee is the best in the neighborhood, great pastries, nice staff, good music and art.

// ambiance //a popular coffee shop right on valencia street in the mission. spacious interior that allows both standing and sitting. saw a decent amount of people working/on laptops on tables. industrial but modern ambiance and you can even see some of the roastery in the back.it can get pretty loud though so not sure i would come here to do focus work. we got our coffee to go and walked around the mission instead.// service //the employees were friendly and helpful when it came to answering questions. it seems like the baristas know what theyre doing. open bar to see the baristas make your drink. self serve simple syrup on the counter as well as straws, lids, sugar etc. on the side bar.// iced latte ($6.00) //i'm not a coffee connoisseur but the coffee tasted good! i got it with less ice and default whole milk. it comes unsweetened so i added a bit of simple syrup myself. the coffee flavor was good and strong. the cup also has a really cute design.// would i reorder/return? //i'd come back if i was in the area if i sat for social reasons or took the drink to go -- probably not for work/studying. the pastries in the display case looked good too!

This is a coffee shop and roastery all in a large space with your classic coffee shop vibe and a good amount of seating. It's a popular spot for both grab-and-go coffee and for working/hanging out. The menu has your standard list of cold and hot coffees, as well as tea and hot chocolate, with the intriguing addition of an affogato that I'll have to come back to try. The prices are on the higher end for coffee in SF. I enjoyed the iced oat milk latte! You can definitely taste the high quality of the coffee.

$5.44 for a macchiato! And that’s before tip! It’s like we’re permanently living in the airport with those prices! Seems unjustified for an espresso and a dash of milk. The Coffee Movement across town offers a top shelf cappuccino for only $3.50. Something is off here at Four Barrel.

Good food and coffee! Not really a place to work from tho as there is no WiFi or outlets available. It was also a bit crowded and took a minute to get a table (on a Saturday afternoon). Enjoyable upbeat atmosphere and a fun place to meet up with friends!

They have a gorgeous open indoor space with plenty of tables to get work done. Even with the roasters in the back, the space is not too loud and just has typical coffee shop background noise. The coffee prices are competitive for the area-- I got a hot oatmilk latte. I thought that the oatmilk was frothed perfectly (always appreciate latte art!) and mellowed out the roasted taste of the espresso while still letting the espresso flavors shine through.
