It is located almost in the center of Ghirardelli Square. You can make your own assortment of Ghirardelli chocolates sold by weight. You can also enjoy chocolate sweets such as the famous Hot Fudge Sundae.Among the three locations, the special feature of this location is the ocean view from the 2nd floor. A sundae overlooking the San Francisco bay is a special experience.Dietary restrictions: Non-dairy hot fudge sundae is available.
I mean, you sort of have to stop at Ghirardelli if you are travelling along the SF waterfront. It's an insanely rich ice cream experience.Sadly, they are so well known and so popular (and thus so busy) that it's a bit of a McDonalds experience in terms of lining up for your order, waiting and then hoping to find a place to eat, with constant pressure to finish up and move along so the next person has a place to sit.It's an experience that is worth doing just to say you have, but...read full review

As always Ghirardelli is just worth it. ? Beautiful square with lots of fun shops. The ice cream and chocolate is amazing, and you can walk off all the calories afterwards by the water/park with a view of the Golden Gate Bridge and some Tall Ships.
