Small shop run by older Chinese women, a little grumpy but they get business done. They’re fast so the lines that curve around don’t matter. Tried the baked pork bun and sticky rice with pork were good and flavorful.

I have had a mixed experience here. Very good dim sum foods for sure, expected to wait in a line outside but the line moves pretty fast, it also appears that the numbers labeled outside on the windows while you wait doesn’t correlate with the actual menu inside the building. One lady that was getting our foods was very rude, she literally was yelling the whole time. They also preferred cash.

Sadly food was dry and not hot at all. It used to be really good when I visited before pandemic.

I've known of Good Mong Kok Bakery for years and have always had it on my list. It's one of the most popular spots for dim sum in Chinatown for locals and tourists. With a short line, we made a spur-of-the-moment decision to give it a shot! The bakery and dim sum spot operate as take-out only. You're able to view the menu outside and inside. The interior is narrow, noisy, and only fits a handful of people. Order with the ladies, they'll pack it up, and you pay and head on your merry way. Cash is preferred as there's a surcharge for cards. Luckily we came with my companion who could order and speak to them in Cantonese--so he did all the work haha. We ordered a few items to share: Shrimp Dumplings, Pork Shui Mai, and Steamed B.B.Q. Pork Bun. Each item comes with a different set of pieces. My Dad loved the shui mai--strong pork flavor. I enjoyed the har gow as it was plump and tasty. The steamed pork bun was ginormous in size and I ended up sharing it with my companion. I do feel like the pieces could've been bigger (aside from the pork bun) for the price. With sufficient dim sum restaurants in San Francisco's Chinatown, Good Mong Kok is highly spoken of. A quick service spot for all to try with a good dim sum! Located off Stockton Street, street parking is limited in the area.

One of the go-to places in Chinatown for dim sum takeout. Reasonably priced, nice ambiance, really authentic taste, and the ordering itself is efficient. Only downside is the line and they were out of dan tat (egg custard) when we went. I recommend taking cash or you get an extra fee with card.

The taste of food is Chinatown level, 4/5. Highly recommend #22 香菇鷄包 MUSHROOM CHICKEN BUN The Service is terrible, they were very slow, employees were working and talking. They spend more time on talking. And that increased waiting time ,we lined up outside for 20 minutes, actually we advertised it for 20 minutes for free ! "Not #14. 蝦米陽粉 DRY SHRIMP CREPE ROLL" "Not #40.egg tart

This place is so over rated. Food was average at best. Definitely not worth waiting in line for 45 minutes. What’s worse is they treat customers with contempt.

The freshness at this place is questionable. Went there early on a Friday and beat the lines but was having stomach pains by the afternoon. Overrated and the service is pretty bad. Their potstickers tasted good but at what cost? WHAT COST?

Food was totally not worth it for the long wait, the pork shumai were cold and the meat was chewy and gross. The steamed pork buns were eh but had way too much dough and the paper stuck to it really badly. The service was terrible, the ladies were rude, were arguing with each other as they served us, and barely even glanced at me before moving on to the next customer (despite the line still taking forever). I would not come here again, was very disappointed. Better dim sum places next door

This is THE to go dim sum spot in Chinatown! Always expect a wait during lunch rush, and don't forget to bring cash. Their service is quick so know what you want so they can keep the line moving. It is a very small space with not much to look at, just get your dim sum and go. Their soy sauce chow mein is great and a filling option, and their har gow + siu mai always hit the spot.

Gosh Good Mong Kok Bakery is SO GOOD! The best Chinese Bakery in China Town! I saw this place on social media and immediately bookmarked it. I love Chinese BBQ Pork Buns and I've been struggling to find some good ones in the Walnut Creek area. Hence, why I was more than willing to wait a good chunk of time in order to get my hands on some. My friend and I stood in line for a good 20 minutes, but it was definitely worth the wait. There are a few competitors within a few doors down from each other, so the prices are super cheap! Items are all prices about $2-$4 each! I got several baked and steamed BBQ Pork Buns and also some custard buns. Everything was delicious and I wish I had purchased more baked buns to take home! Please open a location near Walnut Creek!

I have been to almost all Chinatowns famous bakery/dim sum in all the states. This place is sadly overrated. Nothing special, the shrimp dumplings weren't good. The buns were mediocre. The sticky rice was fine.
