We went to 4 different bars and lounges around the area and this is by far the best spot! The interior has plenty of room and doesn't seem crowded. The people seemed well dressed and I felt like I'm in the Great Gatsby movie with the classic interior design, dancers, and amber lighting on one side. There are two different dance areas, one for more hip-hop and the other more techno/electronic music. Most of all everyone from the bouncer, bartenders, and staff were all friendly and helpful. Parking garage was not too far away (about 5 minute walk) which is also convenient.

I've hosted multiple private events at Hawthorn in the last couple years and their team has been fabulous to work with. The process is clear and organized, and the staff onsite for events are professional, kind and great at what they do. And to top it off, the vibe and decor of the space is incredible. A big thank you goes out to Chadwick and Charlotte especially, for making our events run smooth and even more special.

The best lounge we've been to in SF. We rsvp and got in for free on a Saturday before 11. They have good drinks and play great music. They play mostly old school 2000s music as well as Latin and pop mixed in there. Been here 2x already and never disappointed both times. They even have smaller room with a smaller bar playing edm but my friends and I prefer the main room.

If I could I would give Hawthorn 1000 stars. My first impression was feeling a charming, elegant, cozy atmosphere and excellent service from all team members (Bar/Staffs/Manager/Contractor) who were all polite and helpful! As if that wasn't enough, I lost my Notebook at Hawthorn, and only found myself missing it many hours later, I was desperate and worried (as there were very important Photos and files never saved anywhere) I thought I wouldn't find it again! To my surprise, the Notebook was very well kept safely at Hawthorn and was delivered by hand by the same Chadwick Baumback, with a smile on his face and in high spirits! I would like to thank Chadwick, Zilla, Aline Bonelli, Gabriel and all the Staff. Gratitude Hawthon for the incredible experience of providing safety, excellent service, good music and great drinks! ??

It's been a while since I've been to Hawthorn....what a fantastic spot downtown it is! The space was beautiful, clean and the cocktail program was spot on. I had a seasonal rosemary infused drink and it was absolutely delicious. Upon arrival, the door man greeted us with a smile and the service and staff throughout the night were friendly, accommodating and nice. The dancer/performers were exquisite! Their costuming was sexy, yet elegant and chic and created such a beautiful tone and atmosphere. The sound system is incredible and the DJ's played all the hits and kept me and my small group of friends dancing almost the entire night! It was great being able to go back and forth between the two rooms they have with two different sets of DJs and music styles. Definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a fun place with great music/dancing, ambience and amazing drinks!! I'll be back again soon.

Went to Hawthorn last night -(which used to be the 'go-to-spot')- but we were shocked at how far they've fallen! It sounded like someone was playing a Spotify 90's 'club-mix' and I heard several people describe the scene as looking like 'dorksville in here tonight'. After looking around for a bit, maybe there was a 'Beavis and Butthead' convention going on. We looked at each other, shook our heads in disappointment and split early! Hope they survive. We won't be back.

My company hosted a corporate event at Hawthorn. From the moment we sent in an inquiry about the space to the last minute of the event night, we were so well taken care of by Charlotte, Chadwick and the entire Hawthorn team! The space is beautiful and has a warm vibe. The drinks were unique and perfectly crafted. We really enjoyed our time at the party and received great reviews from our clients. I can't recommend this venue enough!

Chadwick was a supportive, responsive, helpful partner with the planning and reservation process and offered great insights to prepare and execute a super fun time. The DJs in the Bonaparte Room had excellent EDM beats and the bottle service ladies with Aline in particular brought great service and energy to the festivities. Would definitely come back again. Everyone had a great time in this fun, pretty club with classy, elevated vibes. Thank you, Hawthon team!
Okay so Im 20 but i look 21 but when i went into this bar you know what? They asked for my Id???? like what!! lol :) Jk the service was actually really bad and it took WAY too long to get simple drinks and when me and my friends got them, it tasted like beer but also soap?? Overpriced too so yea 1 star.

I met a group of friends at this location around 10:30pm on a Saturday night and it was just $10 to get in. To hang your coats they charge $3. Overall the atmosphere was classy and nice! The Dj that night played a good variation of music (pop,R&B,reggaeton). The bartenders were pretty fast with the drinks but some of them didn't know how to make certain drinks. One of the bartender guys had a slight attitude every time we ordered so we decided to stop ordering at one point. Drinks were a bit overpriced but honestly expected since its in the city. For two shots it was $33. For 4 cocktail drinks it was about $64. The security was nice and also offered some flipflops to a friend that couldn't walk in heels anymore. Dance floor is small and around many reserved tables. Bathroom was clean and not crowded on the girls side. Overall, I would come back again with some friends.
