Was hoping to find a good local sandwich spot in the a sunset area but still have not found it yet. Not too much value from Lou's either. $12.50-$13.00 for a skimpy SF sandwich. From light meat to condiments, the only thing that stood out was probably their sauce? Guess it was worth a try but very likely won't be going back. Had a tuna melt that pretty much looked and tasted like a tuna sandwich. Never have I seen any tuna sandwich had such a huge chunk of dry tuna in it! See pic.

Recently came to this location on taraval since sandwiches were the consensus. I didn't know they had a location here as I've only been to the one on Geary years ago. This location has a few small dine-in tables but seemed like most people got their orders to go. I had the RT mushroom sandwich and it was fantastic! I had everything on it and being without lunch that day, it really hit the spot. Lots of options to choose from so likely will be back to try other choices!

Long time customer at Lou's. My go-to order has always been the Loquito, and it is always consistent. The blend of ingredients make the perfect bite every time. The owner Mark, is also one of the nicest people. Please don't hesitate to try their sandwiches out!

The vibe isn't anything to write home about. But the people are great and the sandwiches were good and the price was right!

The best vegetarian sandwiches I have ever had. All the other sandwiches are vetted as well. I come here at least 1ce a week.

Lou's always delivers delicious subs consistently. Shop is simple. Parking is usually easy except it's annoying now with the taravel street reconstruction. Sandwich is good and sometimes i wish it's a little bit hotter (temperature wise). I also tried their clam chowder recently. Good texture, right level of creaminess and quite a bit of clams. Hope they will continue to refine and add a tad more buttery and salty. Service is fast. Ambiance is a basic, clean sandwich shop. So happy they are here as a local neighborhood staple.

Super yummy sandwiches!! They have classic options or you can design your own. I designed my own as I'm somewhat picky when it comes to sandwiches, and it was great. Bonus because they have sprouts!!! We called ordered online for pickup and it was seamless. I'll definitely be back and trying something new as well - very good, would recommend

First time at Lou’s and it will not be the last. They lived up yo the hype in flavor and customer service. When at a sandwich shop I look for the crab sandwich or the hot pastrami. Lou’s has the “Risky Business” which is a combination of both!I got the Crab melt for my first time and it was a good sandwich. I would request more crab salad but maybe that’s just me wanting more! The jalapeño spread takes it yo another level other shops haven’t reached.Next time will either be a breakfast sandwich or the Risky Business. If you haven’t had Lou’s pull up!Parking: Parking is available on the street there are doing construction on Taraval tracks(1/25/24) but still was not difficultWheelchair accessibility: Wheel chair accessible plenty of space and table available. There is a table reserved

I have been to Lou's when they were on Battery Street pre Covid and saw the cafe in my old neighborhood in the sunset where a long time liquor store use to be. Their sandwiches were a bit pricy and still is but it is worth it . They give you plenty so you get what you pay for as their sandwiches are very filling . I love their "Risky business", Chicken Pesto, and "Hot Pastrami". Their clam chowder is also very good as it is thick and creamy. So glad they have a cafe in the Sunset back in my old stomping grounds, and now I can try more on their menu.

Friendly neighborhood sandwich shop with a big menu! I got the Roma's Club and Risky Business sandwiches and both were very good. They give generous portions of meat and avocado. Their Dutch crunch bread had a perfect crisp on the outside but not too hard where it hurts to bite into it. Sandwiches are about $12 each which I think is fair. The shop is clean and there are several tables and a bathroom. Service was friendly and it took around 5 minutes to receive our order. I'd recommend!

Best sandwiches in San Francisco! We are so lucky to have Lou's in the Sunset. My favorite is the Locita, and there house sauce is the best.

Great sandwiches! A sandwich for everyone, all types & variations. Generous portions. A must is to try the jalapeño spread & Lou's special sauce! Best to use both together. I'm pescatarian & highly recommend the 'veggie' 'veggie-licious' 'crab melt & tuna melt ' . If you're like me ask for everything on it .My wife loves the 'kick'n R.B. (Roast beef w/extra hot raw horseradish) . The service is reasonably fast even when it's busy, worth the wait. The store is well lit & spacious with seating inside & outside. You will not be disappointed .
