Excellent take on Indian food near Performing Arts. We recently enjoyed a less hectic meal before SF Jazz. You have to try the Dahl Puri, which was unique blend of crispy, sour and sweet. Beware the heat of the Chicken 65! It's delicious, but should probably be consumed with lots of milk or other dairy to tamp down the heat. We then were served our entree. Next time, I would order three appetizers, which is perfectly suitable for a meal and allows you to experience the wide variety of textures and flavors at Mela.

We booked table for 5 tonight on short notice and are pleased we did. The service was friendly but a tad slow -thus the 4 star review. Food was superb and we all loved the Garlic cheese Naan.

Food was bland. Feels like they white washed pakistani food. If you’re desi, don’t eat here. Go to your mom’s house instead. If you’re someone who has never eaten or rarely eats pakistani/Indian food, this should be ok for you, but just know it is not authentic.

It's great food but really poor value. I see what they're attempting to do, and I wish they knew how to actually get there. This is not fine dining but it's priced that way. It's not fine dining because the plating isn't there, the service, decor and ambience aren't there. The pricing is though. Ettan is priced the same, and yet we all know what that experience is like versus this, particularly as it relates quality of ingredients (using things like truffles and black cod). The prawn dish was supposed to be butterflied tiger prawns, it wasn't. Overall, 3 adults and 3 children ate for $250 with the included gratuity, that's high.

Food was delicious. Their falooda is amazing. It's a must have but it's huge, enough to share amongst 3 people.

Shukan mela de Mela Tandoori Kitchen. Mela means festival, and once you walk the restaurant, you can feel the festival's energy, lights, and colorful ambiance. Now again, don't forget you came to eat here, and for sure we will recommend Delicious falooda with an excellent presentation--also, Tava bhindi, chicken tikka, chicken qorma, pasanda qorma with kulcha or tandoori roti. The service is friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the food and the decor. Yey Zindagi ka Mela Thank you Sohel Subedar

Servers were very patient with us and kind, thank you However... Bill came to 460 and they threw on an extra hundred for gratuity so 560 I've had better Gol gappe out of a store bought box 1 tandoori platter Comes in maybe 6 small pieces of meat and rice for $25 Over priced for very mediocre food JUST the garlic naan we got was $31 I'm Indian and if you're charging this price point, your food quality should match. Wouldn't come back.

Very bad place to eat over priced food and unexpected prices they hide there prices on there menu surprise you at the end with big fat bill. They also charge extra money for inside dining. They charge me $43 for inside dining. I don’t recommend anyone to go to mela. If you go to mela make sure you have enough because there food is over priced. Good luck ( Not Recommend )
