I used to go to the Polk St location all the time so I don't want to be nasty and hurt your business but you guys have to care a little more about the food. I've been burned twice ordering the grilled chicken burrito. It's not good. The main issues are: - Waaaaaayy to much flour tortilla. It's to big, not enough filling and it's not folded properly. Most bites are like 80% tortilla. - The grilled chicken is carbonized, tough and tasteless. I don't have to wonder 'is this really chicken?' when I'm eating a chicken burrito. - The pico de gallo is bad, all I can taste is onions. These are all easily fixable issues. You can do better.

Food is delicious, quick, and plentiful. The staff are super friendly and quick. They recently remodeled the whole place and it looks great. Best place to grab a quick lunch or take out. Absolutely love their salsa bar.

The service and food is absolutely amazing, and the atmosphere is like a beautiful authentic Mexican Restaurant. I usually get a small order of tacos, and they even put the max effort into a small order like mine. The people serving are extremely kind, and they even have cool small Mexican paintings on a pillar. Great experience overall!! Five stars easily, if I could give more stars, I would!

I ordered a chicken burrito. I felt very rushed to order. There was hardly any actual chicken in the burrito. Lots of lettuce, refried beans and rice, fair amount of guacamole and a small portion of sour cream. I think the burrito is special in the Bay Area and it seems crazy to not have a balanced and well distributed fillings in a burrito. Very unsatisfying burrito for a San Francisco spot. Tables were very dirty and so were the seats. I wiped everything down to sit down with napkins. The Salsa bar is nice but I would not really recommend the food. It's also a nice place inside, other than the fact that there are stains on the seats that look easily cleanable. I hate to leave a bad review but I spent over $20 on a burrito, chips salsa and a coke. I'd expect a lot better for that. Adding, the tomatoes in the burrito we not good at all. They had a distinct bad taste to them and were just not the right color. I feel sad that probably a lot of SF places are struggling to do business. But there doesn't seem to be much passion in this spot even though it's a really cool place and area.
One of the best Mexican foods I have ever had since 2013 in SF Bay Area . Only downside is that it is a bit pricey.

This review is for delivery through GrubHub. Unfortunately, GrubHub doesn't allow you to make reviews unless you use the app. We LOVE Pancho's and eat there in person about 2 or 3 times a month, for at least a decade and never had a bad meal. Recently, I ordered delivery through GrubHub twice and it's like a completely different restaurant made the food, both times! And we ate at the store in between deliveries so I know they're still good in person. I like the shrimp burrito and it usually has about 8 medium-sized shrimp in it. Well, you can't order a shrimp burrito on GrubHub so I ordered a steak & shrimp burrito last time and put a note saying, "Shrimp burrito please, no steak, just shrimp please." The burrito had only TWO shrimp in it. My son doesn't like salsa in his burrito so I put a note on his burrito order to leave the salsa off; they did that but then they didn't include ANY salsa on the side for the chips, both times. Tonight, I ordered "Combo 3" which is a small chicken burrito, cheese quesadilla, and guacamole. In the restaurant, the cheese quesadilla is on a large (maybe 12-inch?) tortilla with plenty of cheese right up to the edge, and the tortilla is perfectly crispy; tonight, I knew it wouldn't be very crispy, but the quesadilla was only about 8 inches across, with barely enough cheese to hold the tortilla closed. The guacamole was about one tablespoon embedded in a bunch of lettuce, not even enough to spread on ONE of the wedges of quesadilla, where you get at least 1/4 cup of guacamole in this combo in the restaurant. And on both burritos tonight, the cheese wasn't distributed through the burritos or melted at all, it was just a gob of cold shredded cheese on one side; also, the tortillas were either stale or hadn't been warmed because they were both cracked at both ends instead of folded. Both times, the food we got delivered was very much not even close to the excellent food we always get in person. I'm going to stick to eating in.
