Great fan of this fresh outtake on chicken & rice. This might sound repetitive, but "fresh" is a great word to use to describe this food. All the sauces, broths and even the chicken were "clean" and "fresh". I highly recommend to anyone looking for something new or someone looking for a fresher take on lunch or dinner.
I've walked by Rooster and Rice all over the bay and finally had a chance to try it out! My parents make the best Hainan chicken so I do have high standards... I got the original with soup and mmmm... it is delicious. I do wish they had the usual ginger and green onion sauce but the sweet sauce they have is a nice pairing. The food tastes so nutritious, fresh and healthy! It pales in comparison to my parents' food but good enough.

I've been to many different locations for rooster and rice across San Francisco. This had been my first time at this location and it was nice. It definitely was given a corporate lunch location as it's under office buildings. They forgot to add a few items to our order. The food always delivers though, especially if you order the traditional dish.
