Great food but small portions. I’d order the rice again but the wings and spring rolls were basically cut in half to make it look more fuller.3 spring rolls for $12 cut into 6 piecesAnd about 5 wing flats cut into half also $12

Food:- Duck curry was phenomenal, that’s why this is 5⭐️ for me.- The papaya salad with crab was hard to eat and not my favorite but would be great for those that love fermented seafood flavors.- Pad see ew was average to pretty good- naked prawns were good, normal shrimp- crispy pork belly sweet basil was solid taste but not crispy at all. Maybe they let it sit in the sauce too long.- the people next to us got the wings and I can’t speak to the taste but I didn’t realize they were wings at first they were so small. Had almost no meat at all.Drink:- Saap ver knock-out was solid- saap ver damn good was really tasty if you like lychee. Whatever they rim it with was a great texture and good sweet and spicyService was prompt and did a good job of anticipating needs.Came out to ~$160 for all of the above. (excepting the wings)

Food is good. Waitresses are not very attentive though. They don't know much about their menus, and had to go back and forth to ask for simple requests. The check out and billing process was also slow like they don't care people have lunch time limit.

February 2024:Stopped by for dinner and ordered the pumpkin curry with tofu and the eggplant with tofu. Both were very tasty and ate it with a side of jasmine rice.Tried the coconut water which surprisingly was a fresh coconut ?. Overall, food was very tasty ? and I would definitely come back again for more delicious Thai food!

We got takeout and tried the chicken noodle soup, the pad see uw, the ginger rice, steamed veggies and grilled bananas. The veggies looked a little dirty/unclean but the pad see uw was good. The way they packaged the soup and noodles was not good - the noodles were so stuck together the first twenty bites were just noodles and no soup. The grilled bananas were awful - we took two bites and threw the rest away. No flavor and tasted not fully cooked. We won’t go back. There’s better Thai food for the price elsewhere.

Saap Ver - meaning 'damn good' is located in the Mission Bay area by Zynga. This fun restaurant serves authentic Thai food (or so they say) with an extensive menu and it can seem overwhelming. Parking is metered. The restaurant is surrounded by Thai movie posters in the back, as well as hanging Christmas lights that turn on when it gets dark. There are so plenty of fun cocktails to drink. **DRINKS** Saap Ver Damn Good Signature - I ordered this and it is soju cocktail, mixed with infused Thai spices and Soju including Thai chili, lemongrass and lime leaf with the taste of lychee and lemon. This drink was very sweet and tasted highly of lychee syrup or something. I expected some spice but couldn't taste any. Wouldn't get it again. **STARTER**Chicken Satay - You get 3-4 6 inch skewers with grilled chicken marinated in cumin curry, served with peanut sauce. The peanut sauce is flavorful and good. Not sure what to say about the grilled chicken other than it's a little bland, but the peanut sauce gave it the flavor it needed. **ENTREE'S** Roasted Duck Curry - Roasted duck in red curry sauce with tomatoes, pineapple, and lychees. This is not your typical toppings in red curry, but it was interestedly sweet. Duck tends to be a bit fattier, and it made me realize I don't prefer it with my curry. It was good but not what I expected. Crispy Pork Belly Sweet basil - The dish taste exactly as the name. It's stir-fried crispy pork belly, with bell peppers, marinated in a sweet house-made red chili paste and basil leaves to finish it off. The pork belly skin was crispy - you had the crunch the moment you bit into it, but it was a little overly sweet for me due to the sauce it was in. Crispy Rice Salad - This was a very interesting dish. It's Northereastern style fermented pork sausage mixed with crispy rice, mint, ginger, peanut, red onion, scallion, cilantro , and chili-lime dressing and I think Thai chili. The crispy rice is deep fried in like clumps but it had lots of flavors with all the toppings listed and you could hear the crunch when you ate it. Crying Tiger Steak - Probably my favorite dish here. We ordered the steak as med-rare and the premium ribeye steak came out on a sizzling hot plate with steamed carrots, green beans, and broccoli, served with a spicy I-saan style sauce. When the steak was on hot grill, oil from these fat dripped from the meat down the grill which resembled the tears. Hence it seemed like the tiger was crying. The sauce that it came with, was the perfect amount of spice - it was probably spicier than our medium spicy curry (which we had hoped would be even spicier). The sauce just has so much flavor when you dip it - I couldn't stop eating it. Green Curry Pork - Their curries already have the proteins chosen for you. The green curry consisted of pork, Thai Eggplant, bamboo, bell pepper, basil and kaffir lime leaf. This is the best curry I've ever had. It's sooo flavorful and smooth. CK had the same reaction. We'd definitely come here again for it and probably ask for it to be spicier. Waitress convinced us to order medium spicy cause she thought we couldn't handle it and it was weak sauce. Fun experience, friendly service. I recommend their curries and the crying tiger steak. One of our Thai friends highly recommends their papaya salad, so we're definitely getting it next time. We also noticed a lot of people had their noodle soup which came in a standing pot.
