Shabu club is my favorite shabu hot pot place. When you know, you know it’s the best when it’s packed at 5pm for dinner. The menu is simplified. You know they paid attention to what the people wanted and stuck to it. Most hot pot places make it so complicated with ordering and offering a million items, making the order process a prolonged dreadful experience. Meat quality is superb. Their cilantro garlic ponzu dipping sauce is very unique and delicious. This is on my list of restaurant tours when coming to San Francisco every couple of years for my food tour. They have shortened the meat menu from a few years ago but still really good beef and pork.I would visit way more often had the city not fallen into disrepair under years of mismanagement.
