Meat quality is superb. Their cilantro garlic ponzu dipping sauce is very unique and delicious. This is on my list of restaurant tours when coming to San Francisco every couple of years for my food tour. They have shortened the meat menu from a few years ago but still really good beef and pork.I would visit way more often had the city not fallen into disrepair under years of mismanagement.

Shabu club is my favorite shabu hot pot place. When you know, you know it’s the best when it’s packed at 5pm for dinner. The menu is simplified. You know they paid attention to what the people wanted and stuck to it. Most hot pot places make it so complicated with ordering and offering a million items, making the order process a prolonged dreadful experience. I love their tonkonsu broth, their signature garlic cilantro sauce, the chicken wings and the Kobe fries! They also offer happy hour..visit this place for dinner. You won’t regret it!Parking: Go early..make reservations if you can

But none of that means squat if you don’t have the excellent dip sauce. Very good. It’s reasonably priced for all you can eat and you even get ice cream at the end. Green crack sauce is still as addictive as ever. I can't seem to make it through a single visit without at least two or more servings of it. The wait times can still be ridiculous but the bar serves tasty cocktails so I don't mind as much as I used to. Give me AYCE or give me death!Pro tip: you can ask for multiple in one ice cream flavors for dessert but you have to ask nicely.Typically college age staff working to go to school here so please tip kindly!

This is my favorite place of all time to eat. From the fries to the hot pot flavors it’s the best. I love how they offer udon and egg noodle and their soju is the best around. I never feel rushed even though there is always a line out the door and the free ice cream at the end of the meal is superb. I always recommend a reservation because after 6pm you might be waiting for awhile but it’s well worth the wait.
