This is some of the best espresso and pour overs I've had anywhere. The owner takes meticulous care in dialing in and perfecting the ratios and techniques to bring out the best in the beans he chooses.The sweet drinks are creative but I find myself getting the plain lattes and single origin pour overs more often.Favorite food item is the mash up with a sausage on the side.
Among my top three favorite coffee shop in the Mission as a local--which is saying something, because you could go to a different coffee shop every day in the Mission for a month and still not hit them all. SPRO does the most innovative, creative, artisanal drinks--if you like a fancy, frilly coffee, take your pick. If you like a straight pour over, this is also the place. I highly recommend this cafe for speciality drinks and a unique coffee experience. It's more like some kind of coffee lab with mad scientists working in the back concocting brilliant flavor combinations than a traditional cafe. The food is high quality and delicious.
