Cute little cafe with the nicest baristas. This place gets busy, but they're super attentive with each customer. Went here on a Saturday to catch up with a friend and we both really enjoyed our drinks. I got an iced chai with oat milk- nicely spiced and a bit floral. My friend got a cold brew which was bold yet smooth. We enjoyed this place so much and are already planning to come back.

Ever run to get a coffee before your puppy had decided to eat? No more heartstrings are available to be pulled when going to SPRO. They have a great menu for puppies! I think this salmon was about $8 and it was originally a whole filet (one pictured is after my dog did a taste test and we smashed it up in the to go container). I highly recommend the charcoal latte, rich in flavor and just something different to switch it up! They also have a really good egg and bacon breakfast croissant, something small and nice to share as a snack if you go with someone. Overall my countless visits to this coffee shop has always had each visit, a great one that makes me want to return and show it to others visiting the area. Walkable from dolores, check out their strawberry ice tea for a mid day pick me up this spring/summer (not photographed).

def got the wrong thing bc I tasted zero belgian white chocolate in my Shiro - just tasted like normal milk. the matcha was quite subtle (then again, I prefer really strong matcha) but I liked that it was very smooth (they used a chasen!) and not as sweet as I expected. I don't mind coming back because they have a lot of cool drinks I would wanna sample.

Got an awesome Island Hop latte! It has a nice ube flavor that came with the powder to complement the latte along with nice latte art! They have more unique flavors on their menu. I would like to come back to try more of their flavors It's located close to Dolores park! Perfect for a nice coffee/tea to go along a nice hangout at the park

Really good food, although a bit on the pricier side for what I got. Service was a bit slow so I wouldn’t recommend if you’ve got places to be.

I was recommended this spot while looking for different coffee spots to try in the city. It was so hard to choose a drink because their menu is full of so many unique options! I ended up going with an island hop ($6.5/12 oz) with oatmilk (+$1). The combination of the ube, coconut, and espresso gave the drink a very satisfyingly nutty flavor. I was afraid that the drink would be too sweet because of all the flavoring but it was actually not too bad! It wouldn't be great for someone who does not like sweet drinks, but overall the sweetness balanced out very well with the espresso. If you are in need for extra caffeine, their 16 oz drinks come with 4 shots!

Breakfast sandwich was ghastly. Literally spit it out. Coffee was good.

many people rate places based on how their avocado toast looks, and how much they spent decorating the place. for that, this place is five stars.however, some of us have higher standards. as a service worker and barista myself, i find it concerning when i come into a coffee shop completely ungreeted, with a worker standing at the register ready to tap my order and take my money.i can get coffee anywhere other than here for cheaper, and with friendly faces to greet me. y’all are crazy if you choose to pay $7 for an americano (because they get a $2 tip even if they’re cranky) here when you can get one anywhere else in the city for cheaper and likely, happier baristas.just another hyped up third wave coffee shop with ugly, artless white walls, no personality or soul, and lacking in culture.i would basically recommend anywhere else in mission or castro for coffee over this place.

I highly recommend this cafe for speciality drinks and a unique coffee experience. It's more like some kind of coffee lab with mad scientists working in the back concocting brilliant flavor combinations than a traditional cafe. The food is high quality and delicious. And the drinks are all so good, you'll have a hard time deciding what to get. I usually get the Orange Blossom, Hong Kong Milk Tea, or Geisha. If you only have time to visit one cafe in SF, make it SPRO!My original review (unfairly) dinged them for an overly complicated toilet that includes a remote for flushing. They were nice enough to patiently reply and address all my points, which frankly makes me like this place even more. Give 'em a nice tip and bring your friends!

This is some of the best espresso and pour overs I've had anywhere. The owner takes meticulous care in dialing in and perfecting the ratios and techniques to bring out the best in the beans he chooses. The sweet drinks are creative but I find myself getting the plain lattes and single origin pour overs more often.Favorite food item is the mash up with a sausage on the side.

SPRO is a contender for my top 3 SF espressos. For all the sweet drink enthusiasts, their pumpkin spice latte (seasonal) will change your life. You have not had a real PSL before you've had this one, I promise.

[Coffee To Take Home] (a follow-up to my In-Cafe Review below) [Freshness] - there were only two bags to pick from, and they were each roasted 11 days prior (it was unclear how frequently SPRO re-stocks freshly roasted beans) - these are certainly on the older end of what I'd buy to bring home, and should be brewed almost right away before they get too stale (it's worth noting that B&W's website claims their beans are best 14 days after the roast date) [Bag Style] - comes with the one way valve and is re-sealable, so you don't have to worry as much about having a proper storage solution to keep your beans staying fresh [Brew and Taste] - coffee: Single Origin "Don Eli" from Costa Rica, just lighter than medium roast, $20 for 12 oz ($1.67/oz) - brew process: Chemex (6-cup), Fellow Ode Gen 2 w/ stock burrs @ 9.0 grind setting, 205°F brew temperature - this was a very clean tasting coffee, with a pleasant brightness that's more tang than tart; there are sweeter fruity notes as the coffee initially coats your mouth, which transition to a more nutty aftertaste [Pricing] - there wasn't a pricing menu of beans to take home (nor was there a selection of more than 2 options on the shelf), so I can only say that the specific beans I bought are cheaper compared to other local roasters - the B&W Single Origin from SPRO cost $1.67/oz, compared to other local roasters that are typically upwards of $1.9/oz [Verdict] - "Don Eli" from Costa Rica: 2/3 (enjoyable) - while I would generally prefer to support local coffee shops that roast their own beans, I will say I was impressed by the cup this coffee produced (especially for the price), and I think other hobbyists will find this an affordable way to hone their craft at home
