Love the concept and menu. Really nice interior design and great place to hang out.Food was good but not wow.The chicken sando was good but there are better ones in the city. The salmon tea rice (matchazuke) was good, but we found it to be overpriced for the portion of salmon. The matcha cream pie was too sweet.

Stonemill Matcha wasn't initially on my radar during my SF cafe-hopping adventure, but am I glad my friend took me there!I ended up trying their rose matcha latte, matcha cream pie, and matcha white chocolate chip cookie. While the latte was a bit sweeter than my usual preference, it was still delicious. The matcha cream pie was airy and soft. And that matcha white chocolate chip cookie was just ooey, gooey perfection in every bite! This place is now a must-visit spot for whenever I'm in town.
Peace Love
This place is really good. First time. Everything we ordered was really tasty, delicious and the service good too.

The matcha cream pie is one of the best desserts I have ever had!

It’s an average over-hyped because of Instagram. You can get way better matcha at cheaper spots around the city. The line outside is really not worth it and it smells really bad. I tried their valentine pie and it had the most artificial store bought taste ever - no matcha taste, no strawberry taste. Plus I had asked that they make my $7 matcha with less milk (which all cafés know mean more water base), but they gave me a drink that was half the size of actual drink (like probably a 6oz drink ). There are much better matcha places around. Unless you’re an influencer, don’t waste time.

Terrific caffe. Only negative: counter to the atmosphere, there are fascist signs all over demanding you not stay too long. Annoying. Not very welcoming. Like Seinfeld's Soup Nazis.

Fairly long wait to dine in (about 30-45min for two people at 1pm on a Saturday), so we ordered the black sesame choux bun online ahead of time to snack on while queuing.Pickup was easy (just grabbed our bagged order off the counter). Bun was filled fully, but cream was pretty weak on the black sesame flavor. Not too sweet, which was nice, but choux pastry itself was no longer crunchy.Very nice staff and beautiful minimalist, cozy ambiance. If you get lucky, you may be seated where they steep and strain the teas by hand, one cup at a time. Chicken katsu curry: flavorful tho not crispy. Marinated salmon: very flavorful; preferred to drink the hot matcha dashi broth rather than pouring it over the dish to preserve the chewy rice texture. Matcha and black sesame lattes: both pleasantly only mildly sweet. Nice strong matcha. Black sesame settles, so bottom half of the cup was the best. Matcha pie: loved the matcha cream filling (reminiscent of condensed milk; could have gone stronger on matcha), and good crunchy crust. This is what I’d come back for! Meal was ~$60-70 before tip. Apparently you can buy a whole pie for $60, or $7 a slice, and there may be a strawberry cream matcha version temporarily offered around Valentine’s Day.Wheelchair accessibility: Flat entryway and interior (no stairs); sidewalk corners have curb cuts
