I need to reevaluate my standards for five stars after coming here. Fast and delicious pastries and coffee with a great atmosphere, kind patrons, and even nicer staff. Cherry on top was the absence of stimmed out techies that can sap the soul out of places like this.

3 means good, worth a visit.Tartine confuses me a bit. They clearly know what they’re doing and they’re doing it really well. I just don’t understand why they chose to do what they’re doing. I admire their country loaf, but I don’t really like it. I prefer Acme bread. Their croissants are good, but Arsicault’s are better. I like Tartine’s cakes and buns. I was about to say it’s nice to have a location within walking distance from my apartment, but I’m not actually going to go here regularly because there’s always a line out the door with a 20-30-minute wait. Don’t get me wrong, everything is good, everything is well done, I just think they’re over-hyped. They’re a very solid 3/5. Worth visiting once or twice.

The quiche was great, and so was the almond croissant. The coffee is great too. However, don't order a side salad. It's just a Romaine Lettuce! For $8, they should add a tomato or some onion, something!

Amazing morning buns-Orange zesty and delicious. I tried the Jalapeno ham croissant it's good. Two locations make sure you hit up on the one on Guerrero. Give it a try if you are in SF area.

The country loaf was moist and so tasty! I got a gooey morning bun and it was so delicious. I like the hint of orange zest!

Tartine Bakery truly knocks it out of the park with their banana cream pie and croissant. The banana cream pie is so good it might just make you question all your life choices leading up to this moment—think silky cream and bursts of banana packed in a flaky, buttery crust, topped with a cloud of whipped cream that's lighter than your last diet plan. As for the croissant, it’s a golden, flaky triumph of buttery perfection. Crispy on the outside, whisper-soft on the inside, it’s what every croissant aspires to be when it grows up. Swing by Tartine and treat yourself; these goodies make getting out of bed worth it!

There's always a line!I visited the store just after peak hours, but it was always crowded. There were also sandwiches, Danish pies, croissants, cakes, and tarts. The bread we ordered was very delicious.Desserts also seem to be popular, so I'd like to try their popular desserts next time. The croissant was crispy and very tasty. There was also space to eat inside. The taste, location, atmosphere, everything is great.

Fabulous pastries! Morning bun was exceptional. Would recommend to give this bakery a visit. We did a take out and walked to nearby Dolores Park for a relaxing picnic. Quick but important note - we took a bus from union square and it passed by Mission district which felt very unsafe. Would recommend to take an Uber or drive if possible.

Tartine is simply the best. We order our cakes here for birthdays, buy bread weekly, treat our guests to pastries when they're in town. After a decade of going to tartine almost every week, here are our go-tos: 1) country bread 2) morning bun 3) jalapeño croissant 4) savory scone 5) tres letches or chocolate soufflé cakes

Popular if not slightly overwhelming bakery cafe for brunch in DuPont Circle, Wash DC so expect a wait in line on weekends, where the menu options are expanded compared to the weekdays. Nonetheless, it was indeed worth the wait for lamb Shakshuka, quiche Lorraine and tasty apricot cake. The mocha used high quality chocolate which was noticeable and appreciated. Overall it wax all decent food for the price point and worth the wait in line and to dine in when a table opened. The poor staff were so busy but still reasonably kind and helpful despite the brunch crush with extras like to go boxes and water refills...Thank you!
