Of all the places in SF, THIS is the place that actually redeems the entire city! I walked in, first time, these guys were EXTREMELY gracious, very friendly. They handed me a menu, let me take any seat in the place, and were VERY communicative with how they planned out the timing of the food, and when it was coming out. They call it a saloon but it's a lot more family friendly than that implies. The mac-n-cheese is very creamy! They also had no problem seating our party of 6 and a party of 10 at the same time. It was the middle of the week and early in the evening, so keep that in mind. Good selection of

Exposed brickwork, old school layout with the centrally placed bar preserved, large windows connecting the bar to the street - lots to recommend about this bar. Fish & chips were outstanding, although my Guinness arrived faster than I was anticipating. Highly recommended!
