This is a straight up city corner bar that you stumble into before/after doing something else. The bartenders are pretty nice and the drinks are standard. It does sort of feel like you're in an old ship with the U-shaped wooden bar. This is a solid bar hopping spot if you're just roaming around the area living your best life.

Great after work hangout, close to downtown. Very casual local bar with bar bites available.

Great old fashioned as well as a breakfast burrito. I would definitely recommend.

Only been once. Not a neighborhood I frequent. A friend said they made the elusive Pisco Punch made famous during the Barbary Coast period. (Mark Twain and Rudyard Kipling both raved about it.) So off we went. The Pisco deserves its accolades. I had fish and chips in keeping with the nautical theme - really really good. I think only Slainte in Oakland may have better. Its a small pub with a rich history. You can feel that. Its clean and well run with good service. I'm told by serious mixology friends that the bartender knows his stuff. We had a clear view of the bar and it was impressive to see the variety being prepared and the complements flying when the libations were tasted. I will certainly head back when in the area.

Super nice bartender and easy menu. My friend enjoyed the burger and I had the crispy chicken sandwich. No complaints and worthy of a stop when you need a quick bite.

Old Ship Saloon is fun. Its a solid little horse shoe bar with good wings. I had the Patty Melt - it comes with swiss, I think next time I'll ask for an American cheese (but that's just me). The lighting is high, even in the evenings. So not a romantic place / no booths at all. But for a neighborhood bar that serves food relateviley late (for san francisco on a sunday), I liked it. If you're in the neighborhood and would like a drink, check it out. Wasn't too busy, and the bartender was friendly.

The cheeseburgers are juicy and nice ratio of meat to fat! Fries are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Beers are cold and service is responsive and easy

Exposed brickwork, old school layout with the centrally placed bar preserved, large windows connecting the bar to the street - lots to recommend about this bar. Fish & chips were outstanding, although my Guinness arrived faster than I was anticipating. Highly recommended!

Found myself at this bar a few times during a work happy hour to then venturing off and stopping by before a dinner reservation nearby. There's plenty of seating inside and the staff are super friendly. I love the vibes here. They have a nice selection of beer, cocktails and wine as well as some tasty bites. My go to cocktail is the tequila daisy which is refreshing and citrusy. If you're into mezcal I also recommend the tiger lily. This spot has very much became a fave in the area.

Of all the places in SF, THIS is the place that actually redeems the entire city! I walked in, first time, these guys were EXTREMELY gracious, very friendly. They handed me a menu, let me take any seat in the place, and were VERY communicative with how they planned out the timing of the food, and when it was coming out. And even when it came out sooner than expected, that was not a problem. The atmosphere is pretty dark, but fitting! Hard to imagine this was an abandoned vessel named the Arkansas.Been to other places in the city, and they either upcharged claiming inflation was a reason, even though we're all facing it, or they pulled all sorts of tactics to get you to tip more. This place is honest with their prices, and genuine in their attitudes towards you. I had a rough couple days here, but being here for one meal made it all up! Thanks!

They call it a saloon but it's a lot more family friendly than that implies. The mac-n-cheese is very creamy! They also had no problem seating our party of 6 and a party of 10 at the same time. It was the middle of the week and early in the evening, so keep that in mind. Good selection of
