We were here at past 9pm on a weekday and it didn't really fail to give us more ideas of how things can really be in this part of SFO. The lady bartender was friendly and helpful. We just had a round of drinks and then left after. It was becoming too noisy for comfort outside, although our hotel is not even 4 blocks away. We enjoyed our time just the same.

The karaoke on Tuesday is awesome, the crowd inside is not the same as the one outside, and that's good! ? They use karafun which allows you to ask the latest songs out and see the queue in real timeThanks Mia and Dj.

Cute, good atmosphere, they have a lot of intention behind the creativity of their drinks even if the outcome isn't necessarily a hit. Wasn't a huge fan of this current iteration of the menu, but looking forward to the next.

This is one of our neighborhood bars and it's fantastic all around - the bartenders, the vibe, the people who frequent it, the drinks, the music. Love love love.

I love this place. It's a half door entrance so it lets a little light in. There is an unexpected spiral staircase that takes you to the 2nd floor. The service was great. There is a red glow that makes it feel extra divey.

So who knew you could have a drink in relative comfort on 6th Street? Well, 'relative' is a relative term. I'm sure I won't be able to convince everybody to come to the sketchy block between Market and Mission to patronize this watering hole. At the same time, I can tell you I wasn't hassled when I entered this unassuming bar with the provocative neon sign above (photo: bit.ly/3OO5aiq).It was late afternoon, and the bar was pretty empty. I just asked the bartender if she had any Makers Mark. She didn't, but she offered Barrell. I went for it with ginger ale, and it cost me $11 (photo: bit.ly/3OLJN0T). Not a bad price and the drink went down smoothly even as I saw a trio of hipster colleagues come in with their outdoor voices intact. Oh well, I can think of worse things spilling in from 6th Street.DRINKS - 4 stars...a smooth libation before facing 6th Street againAMBIANCE - 4 stars...more relaxing than I expected SERVICE - 3.5 stars...pretty professional (she's probably seen it all)TOTAL - 4 stars...good to know there's one escape route on 6th StreetRELATED - Exploring 6th Street?
