We had a group of over 100 people and they were able to accommodate us and serve us in a timely manner. The chicken sandwich with fries was just right. The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.

We walked down to Toy Soldier From Fairmont Hotel. the hill up and down about killed me but once we got there the bartender slash server was very friendly. The food was delicious and presentation very classy. It's a small place with a small patio not very fancy but the food made up for that. We also had a delicious Old Fashion and espresso martini I would go back but take an Uber next time.

Visit with a group of about 30. We were in a private room upstairs. The bartender had some mocktails prepared and plenty of alcoholic options. Appetizers were preordered and they smelled delicious. They were as tasty as they smelled. There were brussel sprouts with a light sauce. Then a server came along for salad options. Followed shortly by dinner selection, I chose the red gnocchi. It was a generous portion. The gnocchi was light and tender. The red sauce was full of flavor. I have to commend the staff on serving 30 hot meals at one time. That's not easy!

The food was fine but nothing to write home about and certainly not worth the hour and a half wait for it. İf the kitchen is backed up I expect the wait staff to inform us but there was no communication until well over an hour passed. And then we were told it was "coming up", but had to continue to wait a long long time. Additionally, my soda was completely flat which normally i wouldn't complain about but on top of everything else....sigh. The outdoor seating area was cram packed making it difficult to maneuver. İf you can't serve all the tables properly and on time, don't put them out.

A fun pre-show dinner before walking up to Davies Symphony Hall. I love the restaurants in this alley and he'd not yet visited Toy Soldier. Enjoyed cocktails and steaks and gnocchi and crab cakes in our group. Everyone loved the food. Service was on!

The food was actually really good- when we received it. Our reservations were for 12:30, it took 10 minutes (or more) to seat us, and after we ordered, we did not see any food until 1:30. We did not order anything unusual. The mitigating factor was the food was actually really good. But by the time we got the food, we had to rush our meal to get out of there by 2:00 to meet our afternoon appointments. We were told that they were very busy, but its a tiny restaurant. We had reservations - being busy is no excuse for the food to take an hour after our reservation time.

Had a delicious meal here a few weeks back. Great atmosphere and amazing service. I’ll be back again soon.In the early 1950’s this location housed a restaurant called, Belden Gardens Restaurant. At the time this was the only outdoor patio restaurant located in the financial district. It was a place where people could go for a complete luncheon surrounded by tropical foliage while basking in the sun. It was also a place where people could go for leisurely dining under a colorful awning with radiant heat lamps for those cooler San Francisco evenings.I compared the photo of the original bar with what it looks like today and it seems there was always a window behind the bar but back then it looks like they chose to hang rugs in order to cover it. The room also still has the booths in the same place.

It's good for a party / get together! However, the place is a bit small, it's still fun to spend an evening here.

It was a busy night, which I'm glad for them. Though they didn't have the amount of staff to accommodate the many guests they had. Our reservation was at 7p. We were given a heads up our food would take about an hour. We finally got our meal at 9p. One of our guest ordered the gnocchi (which was delish) but got a different pasta dish.

Small street filled with cosy diners. Service is down to earth and warm hearted. Comfort food on the menu, with some dishes great for sharing. Nice selection of draft beers and cocktails are available. Come for the (slightly) rambunctious pub atmosphere.

We were a group of 8...service was responsive and very helpful when asked ? food was v good had the salmon. Steak looked epic, skip the molten choc cake - a little dry and lacklustre. Gnocchi also tasty not a huge portion though. Champagne we chose was ex value for ?

Our favorite dining establishment. Always courteous and considerate, putting the customer first. I cannot speak highly enough of this elegant establishment; the staff is always helpful.
