While the products are spectacular, the friendly service is even better (and to be honest, that's what's made me a loyal customer). I try to visit each and every Saturday (and once in a while on a Thursday), and the staff is unerringly attentive and immensely helpful. If you visit on a Saturday at the Ferry Building, you'll hopefully encounter Greg. He's endlessly professional and courteous, greeting every customer and expending lots of time and energy with first-time visitors helping orient them to the various delicious options and answering all of their questions from his vast knowledge of the products. At the same time, you can hear how he's also immensely focused on developing long-term repeat customers as he greets returning visitors, often by name or by specific personal detail (like how their dog is or if the last juice cleanse helped them feel better). Bottom line: the juice and food is delicious and made with care from high-quality ingredients - but the friendly, professional service from people like Greg makes Urban Remedy great.

Was looking at the sugar content in the drinks when I was approached by a light skinned black woman who claims she was "looking for her team". She asked what I was doing, I said "checking out how many grams of sugar are in these drinks" "Oh. Ok, well we're closed right now, so I'm gonna have to ask you to put this drink back. K. Thank you, good luck" was here response. Very strange energy indeed. I think she called herself the building manager or something along those lines .

Ordered a soba salad; salad had high quality ingredients but not that much soba, which surprised me; still, I 'm tempted to go back and try other things here.

This is an absolutely fantastic vegan restaurant, one that I am not afraid to take non vegans to. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We had a variety of rolls, all of which were delicious. I also really liked the Urban Remedy poke bowl appetizer. There is await, but it was well worth it!

Annoyed, arrogant staff... a new low in services in SF.Went there today for an early lunch to find that half of their shelves was not available, I had to call for attention of the one guy at their counter; but the worse had yet to come... a tall, slim guy who was part of the staff took one of the 2 tiny tables that they have on the side with his laptop and all of his other stuff and was occupying good part of the other table with some of his other things. So instead of making those tables available to customers and do whatever work he was doing on his laptop (assuming it was actual work related to Urban Remedy) standing by the counter (where he would have had space), no, he decided to do all he could not to let customers sit there (showed no willingness to let me sit) or make the place more inviting for people like me who might have been so unwise to rely on Urban Remedy for their lunch. Boo!And, notice, not that there isn't any competition just a few steps around. Well, Urban Remedy, never again!

The building on stilts was built in 1898 but 40 years later it was not necessary for anyone. After the construction of the Golden Gate Bridge and Bay Bridge, traffic across the bay became irrelevant by water. The station was idle for several decades. But in the 1990s the public provided the reviving that turned Ferry Building into a gourmet center. With its opening in 2003 the ferry traffic was restored. The Ferry Building marketplace is a space with cafes and grocery departments. On several days of the week there is a farmers' market. On the counters as well as in the pavilions inside the building are the best products of Northern California. All of them are produced with maximum attention to environmental standarts. This is the gastronomic character of the entire state, which is really obsessed with everything local, seasonal and organic. See covid-19's closure on their official website

One of my favorite places to visit, it's a place of comfort for me! And I don't even know why. It was my first time experiencing it in 2016, by myself at that. It was alive, filled with life, hustle and bustle, people doing their thing, shopping, sitting, eating, minding their own business, conversating, and more! It was just a great feeling. I can't even explain the life giving feeling it gave me, when I first entered it, the architecture is beautiful, it has history and is older with finite details. Very picturesque. I had another review of the ferry building, but because there are some very sketchy people on yelp it had to be taken down and that person who I had sadly in poor taste connected with, has been dropped. Thank goodness. The ferry building, is mostly filled with boutique like eateries, as my brother and a sister in law has stated in the past, that it's more for foodies, I'm not a foodie, I can't be. But I still enjoy being at the ferry building, I really enjoy its feel, the scenery, the fact it's a connecting point. I like that life is happening all around me without anyone caring what I'm doing because they are too involved with their own life. Its great! The street vendors leading up to the ferry building, add to the atmosphere, of what is coming up and its a great combo, food, shopping and sightseeing. In the plaza before the ferry building, there is often times someone playing music, a calm protest happening, there are skaters or just ppl relaxing. It really is a great starting point when visiting San Francisco!

I love this place as a kid being a native San Franciscan. I remember the days when it was a freeway right in front this place. Those was the day different time different life time

I'm obsessed! I'm pretty late to the juice game because honestly I think they're over priced. However, I love Urban Remedy. I love that they offer free samples. If I'm going to pay $10 for juice, I want to try it first. But I really come here for the plant-based protein bars. These bars are comparable to other high quality bars in price ($3.25-$4), but made with fresh ingredients. Try all 3! There is a matcha bar, superfood, and original chocolate bar. I also love the sunflower squares; it's a healthy peanut cup! These bars give me the mid-day energy boost I need because they're packed with protein (and of course because of the sugar). As far as juices, I'm a big fan of the cold crusher! It tastes really good for a tumeric drink. I also love the blend of carrot and orange juice, which I used to order at the old Cuban bakery back in my neighborhood in LA. The flavors balance each other out!

Love this place! You cannot go hungry coming here. Humphry for ice cream, blue bottle for coffee and cow girl for cheese, but they have many more vendors offering many different yummy food. I wish I live in the city so I can just stroll here for my veggies and other stuff! Great place to just hang our all day!

A nice well-kept building. There are quite a few cool shops, restaurants, and cafes to check out. I was there on a weekend evening and it was crowded. Makes it a bit difficult to move around, but still doable. Just something to keep in mind when coming here.

Busy busy busy!!! That's what the Ferry Building Marketplace is all about!!! They have all kinds of food options here!! From burgers to oysters to wine bars to empanadas, multiple places for coffee, a bookstore, and so much more!! Along with the constant coming and going of the Ferries, I have never seen this place not crowded! Great for tourists, locals, and Bay Area residents, there's something for everyone here!!

This place is the TRUTH!! I heard Saturday's were the day to go. Our hotel was about a 7 min walking distance from the Ferry Building. There are a TON of vendors located here inside and outside. A lot of them are pricey however. The hubby had a $10 breakfast sandwich (that he enjoyed) and I had a $12 breakfast sandwich (Cowgirl Creamery) that I enjoyed. It was fun walking around to the various vendors - olive oils, rum cakes, juices, etc. There is even a Sur La Table here! We tried Urban Remedy juices here and they were so very good and fresh tasting. Outside. is. Even. more. amazing. There are even far more vendors outside selling lavender, oils, jams, etc. We picked up quite a few foodie souvenirs to take back home.
