Quickest 5 start review I’ve given. I was so excited to find a place that specializes in beef broth ramen because I don’t eat pork and this did not disappoint. The broth was so rich and creamy I drank every last drop. Also the bone marrow was delicious and they’re very generous with it. The bone marrow piece I got was small so the staff brought out another complimentary one for me without asking. I’m excited to came again and try the spice ramen!

The best beef based ramen in the city! The broth is super flavorful. Each piece of the ramen is scrumptious from the noodles, onsen egg, veggies, and meat!

What a special place! This was not the first place on our list, but we are sure glad we came. We arrived around 7 pm on a Saturday night and had about a 10 minute wait. The place it cozy, and they will seat you next to other families to get more people through. That aside, the price and quality of food is amazing. I was so glad they had a vegan option too. The service was even kind enough to move my daughter and I to a counter so we could have more space.Vegetarian options: Only one vegan ramen dish, but it was delicious. They had some vegan appetizers (e.g. edamame).

Ate there yesterday before heading to SF BOTANICAL GARDEN, JAPANESE TEA GARDEN & HIDDEN GARDEN STEPS all in the SF areaService was good but the ramen I ordered & my wife was just a ok. We judged it n you can try it.We’ve been to a lot of ramen places from San Jose to Sacramento, San Francisco n other Bay Area. We don’t mind the drive.

This cozy Ramen restaurant is famous for beef ramen , most of ramen used pork not beef .Roasted beef so tender and flavorful, very delicious, Bone marrow tested like jelly with butter flavor , soup base smooth with/ texture noodle .Service very friendly . But inside space is very small .

I went with my friends for lunch. The place is fairly small with some small tables and some side seats. The service was okay, she tried to be attentive to every table. There were people on waiting list.I had the Traditional Paitan. The Bone marrow cost $10 extra on top of ramen price. The ramen was a little undercooked. I felt the noodles needed to be more tender. The steak was tender. I think I got overcharged for my meal because I did not order the Bone Marrow but got charged. There was no physical receipt they would give. I thought she said the marrow was free for the two of us that did not order the marrow. Maybe there was misunderstanding.I thought the bone marrow made the soup a little too rich. It's not worth it as a $10 add on. My friend got the spicy. She enjoyed her dish. My other two friends had the same dish which was the Traditional Paitan, it was all right.I don't think I would return to this restaurant for their ramen.

We finally made a visit here but it wasn't a good day to stop by because they very pretty busy for lunch, leaving one waitress to manage all the customers up to 25 or more persons. She had to do it all, take your orders on the iPad, clear and wipe the tables, bring you a cup of water that never gets refilled, brings your food and is too busy to come by to check on you if you liked the food, bring your check and doesn't thank you for coming in for lunch. Meanwhile, a crowd of patrons mill around outside waiting for a seat after leaving their name on the sign in pad by the door. She didn't or couldn't find the time to spend with you on the menu if it was your first time there, as it was with us. I asked if the spicy beef dish could be made less spicy and she pointed to the traditional paitan selection, barely audible that they were the same dish minus the spice? So we both ordered that and the fried mushrooms appetizer. The mushroom dish was Ok, lightly battered and well seasoned. I didn't like it that much but hubby really enjoyed it. The ramen was good and the broth was hearty and had good flavor, lots of sliced mushrooms and the onsen egg was delicious. There wasn't a huge amount of beef slices. I gave Hubby 3 of my slices and ate about 3. But we were plenty satiated and almost had to take the mushrooms home. Service is dire on a weekend where the business is busier. Saw folks ordering the roasted bone marrow , now priced $10 because their new vendor charges more, previously $8. We will likely make another visit in the future to try the beef kaarage and bone marrow with another ramen dish, but on a weekday instead.

This place is my new favorite restaurant! My husband found Ushi Taro on Google so we decided to drop by and give it a try. I've had a few disappointing ramens before so I tried not to go in with too many expectations. However, the food at Ushi Taro was absolutely amazing and I can't stop thinking about how good it was. We started our dinner with agedashi tofu, and it was so flavorful and the texture was perfect. The outside was crispy while the inside tofu was super soft. Combined with the soy sauce, it was one of the best agedashi tofus I've ever had. It was a bit spicy but I honestly didn't mind too much. I then had the original shio ramen and the beef fillets were so soft and delicious. The broth was flavorful too and the ramen noodles were the perfect texture, not too soft and not too hard. I enjoyed every single bite of my ramen and I drank all the soup, something I don't usually do. My husband had the vegan ramen which he enjoyed as well. The lady taking orders and delivering food to tables was super friendly, and the whole experience was just so nice for us. It was a small, cozy, hole-in-the-wall kind of restaurant. We ordered Ushi Taro via delivery again just 2 days after we first tried it. Definitely going back again soon, thank you for the wonderful meals!
