The food here is decent, but be warned, it can be pretty spicy (or at least, the dishes we ordered were - even the ones that we asked to be served "mild"). I need to come back here and order some dishes that appear to be definitively less spicy. The old dude who works here (he might have been the owner) was pretty cool with us, and appears to speak absolutely no English (we communicated via the power of Mandarin). There is an adjacent parking lot, and it can be crowded at times.P.S.Peruse the menu thoroughly. You may find some hilariously eyebrow-raising menu items.

Originally wanted to order online from them on a Tuesday, but they were unexpectedly closed, and my order didn't go through. Figured I'd try again, but this time I'm gonna head over to make sure they're open, and lo & behold, they were! One guy at the front of the house greeted me. I let him know I'm ordering takeout but needed to check out their menu. He handed me one, then went back to handling business before taking my order. I gave him my card, and waited for the food. Very efficient.Very nice atmosphere! Dark tones with some foliage. Interesting decor. Didn't exactly say "Chinese restaurant", but honestly could've passed as a coffee shop.I ordered two items: Dan Dan Noodles and Chicken Soup. Their noodles were really good. Pork had good flavor and spices, the noodles weren't too thick, but nice and chewy. They absorbed all those spicy oils really good.Their chicken soup was pretty good. Very flavorful and savory. The chicken meat was very smooth and soft. But I was hoping to get more pieces of chicken is all.I've ordered a couple items from them since, and never but disappointed. Last time I was here, I came with my friends and we all loved it.Pro-tip: Ask for containers to pack up the oils, so you can poor over your rice for another meal!

I tried this restaurant at it's grand opening but was not very impressed. But this time was a surprise to me. I loved the bang bang chicken & spicy pork dumplings. They were spicy but not just spicy. We could taste the favors of the meat. My friend from northern China likes the sweet and spicy thick noodle. It's not spicy to me. I like the spicy sour glass noodle more. And we all enjoy the XL boo! We wanted to order other buns but they didn't have it. This XL bao was really XL and was a surprise to us. But we finished all! The service is good. The servers patiently introduced different dishes to us. The environment was spacious and chill. And it's quiet. We are thinking to revisit.

Food & service was decent. The staff here don't speak any English so it was tough to order. We ordered a variety of dishes. The waiter said they were chengdu & sichuan style cuisine restaurant. So we knew the food would be spicy. This was my first time trying this region of china's cuisine. I'm not sure I would come back not because the food or service. It was really difficult for us to order. The menu has English on it so I would say the English names. But the waiter had no idea what I was saying so I had to flip through the menu and point at every dish we wanted. On the menu they had an option to order on your own but it was disabled at the time we were there.

Everything is tasty! We came on a Thursday for lunch, and the place was pretty empty. The restaurant is in a strip mall and pretty spacious inside. Plenty of underground parking. Two girls ordered 4 dishes and we still had leftovers to take home:(1) "sweet skin" duck- highly recommend, the skin is crunchy and little sweet. The meat is tender.(2) "sweet water" noodle- very chewy!(3) Dan Dan chicken- a typical Sichuan dish, was my least favourite this time among all, as I thought it should be a bit spicier.(4) sweet and spicy thick noodle- recommend! As I am writing the review I am already planning for my next return

Came the other day and was very pleasantly surprised. You can order through the QR code or the server but I just ordered online since it was easier. I believe the server mainly spoke mandarin so there was a slight language barrier but he was very nice and attentive nonetheless! We got the pork and shrimp wontons, beef noodle soup, and Dan Dan #4. The shrimp and pork wontons were a little soft for my liking but I absolutely loved the Dan Dan noodles as it was chewy and very yummy! I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area. Support small businesses!

4++ a small Chinese café located in the strip mall of Alhambra. It has a youthful vibe to it and serves up delicious noodles at reasonable prices. I ordered the spicy crispy beef noodles, special baos, and bang bang chicken. I was definitely hungry, but I think my eyes were bigger than my stomach at the moment. I ended up taking most of the chicken and baos home as leftovers. I got the spicy crispy beef noodles and bang bang chicken off a recommendation an LA Times food columnist. I would say the noodles were probably my favorite item of the night. Even as they put it on my table, I got a waft of that fresh cilantro hitting my nose which made my mouth water. I then took a bite of the mouth numbing crispy beef/ chili oil noodles. So much flavor and the noodles were chewy and delicious. Luckily, I was dining by myself because I started break a sweat, lol. The bang bang chicken had great flavor, but I would probably order the boneless next time. I don't mind bones, per se, but I think there are too many bones for me in this dish. The baos were good and had juicy pork and delicious vegetables in them, which is where they get their orange and green hues. The place itself has an authentic Chinese café feel to it. The gentleman helping me was super nice, but there was a noticeable language barrier, so if you can't speak Chinese (mandarin?), then just know that. I'm not Chinese and don't speak a lick of it, and I still was able to communicate enough through the entire process, so there's that. Because it is located in a strip mall with lots of other eateries, the parking was pretty tough around dinner time (came here around 6-7 on a Saturday night). As a matter of fact, I drove through the parking lot and there's like this downhill grade going underground for more parking, where I ended up parking at.

The dan dan to end all dan dans. If you ever tried dan dan mian, especially those fusion dan dan mians, then do come here and get your life straighten up. It was so good I was literally back the next day. The chili oil and minced meat is soo good I wish they give you some rice afterwards to mix with the leftover sauce.

This is only the real traditional Chinese food, actually, is the only authentic Sichuan/Chengdu food, restaurant in Los Angeles.

Very affordable Chinese restaurant. The foods I tried were pretty good, but the drinks were underwhelming. Dan Dan Noodle #2: I enjoyed the handmade thick noodle used in this dish. It was nice and chewy. There were plenty of minced pork and peanuts. You can choose the level of spicy. I liked it with just a little bit of spicy. I would recommend this for a noodle dish. Spicy Crunchy Beef Noodle: Turned out to be less spicy than I expected. The cruncy beef sauce was good. It worked well mixed with the thin noodles. They topped it off with a lot of cilantro. Not as good as the dan dan noodle, but still something work trying. XL Bao: This thing was huge! It was steamed just right so that the bun was soft and not soggy or hard. My only critique for this would be that there was not a lot of pork sauce filling inside. The majority of the bao was just bread. Drinks: Although the galaxy drinks look cool, they don't taste like anything great. The rose milk tea was too watered down. One nice thing is that you can choose multiple toppings for no extra cost.

Hands down the BEST Sichuan food in California. We’re lucky to find this hidden-gem.
