First time trying their Corn Kernel with salted eggs and Prawns. It is super delicious. Will definitely come back for other dishes.

They literally said they will give food in 3 minutes and lied on face and made us wait for 1hour and 30 minutes and when we got up after long wait they said sorry we couldn’t serve you. This is absolutely unprofessional and disgusting behavior. Never going here ever.

They made us wait 1.5 hour for the food and then we had to get up and leave only to realize they did not even start making the food.

We came with a group that regularly eats in SG Chinese restaurants. One member has experienced at least 100 of them in his blog. I wasn’t expecting much given some of the reviews, but we all were pleasantly surprised. The food was some of the best we’ve experienced and yet in such an oddly decorated room. The owner/ chef and his wife were gracious. The food took a little longer than usual to be prepared/served but the wait was ultimately worth it it. We’ll be back.

Been here multiple times and saw a very bad downhill in the most recent visit. The food was not as good as before. They charged mandatory tips while hardly giving us any service. Waiting time for food was long even there were only two groups of customers. It is a shame because this place used to be lively.

We ordered clams and the clams had gone bad with disgusting taste and we got no apologies. Poor service. They don’t even serve you water. When they serve the dish, they put it on the far end of the table and you have to move it towards the center yourself. Plus they charge 22% mandatory tips for all this unpleasantnessThey charge 12.5% tax which is also incorrect. In San Gabriel the tax rate is only 10.25%

The places looks nice, but my fish filet soup was trash!!! Initially, I assumed I was going get the soup as the way it shown in the menu, once received the meal, it did not look like what I saw in the picture. Furthermore, after having a bite, it felt like I was going to die. To describe how it taste, it felt like drinking salt water with acid. I’m not even exaggerating!!!!!!! My friends tried it too, they said I’m quote “this is terrible”.

This place used to be so great to visit, it was lively, always full of fun employees and customers. Now it's dead, the food is overpriced and doesn't taste good at all, on top of that, they charge a 20% covercharge on your bill without letting you know ahead of time. Absolutely will not come back or recommend it to anyone.

The people are super, super nice! The food was excellent and clean restaurant, clean bathrooms. They are closed every Tuesday and stay open late other nights. The wooden tables and benches make the place look unique. If you have the app "chow bus" they are on that for delivery services. Go grab a warm meal. Made to order even vegetarian style.Vegetarian options: Its made to order they can adjust many dishes.Parking: Free lot. Corner restaurantKid-friendliness: YesWheelchair accessibility: Yes

New owner is dishonest, cheats his loyal customers, takes tips from his employees, and harasses his female guests and employees. We came here several times because a friend was working here. She's since quit due to mismanagement and harassment by new owner and we will no longer come here.

After ownership change, the vibes aren't the same anymore. The food is still really good and authentic, but the atmosphere isn't lively anymore. No music playing and it was completely silent, kind of awkward. It's just the owner's wife (I think?) serving now. But even though the food was still good, the lack of service/atmosphere quality is enough for us to not go back anymore.

Pretty wide variety of dishes, some hot, some piping hot! Inexpensive pitchers of beer, very attentive. Extremely hidden in the corner...

Not a bad place to hangout and enjoy good Chinese food and a cold beer.

Indian, The Tavern, a Taiwanese restaurant. This is my second time at this restaurant after they get a new ownership. Some of the taste get different and some stay the same. The over all CP value is pretty good as long as you don’t order sake ?. They also need to get more helpers too. There wasn’t too many customers when we having dinner but we were difficult to catch one of the waiters to help us.@indianthetavern #deepfriedporkintestine #sesameoilflavoredbrothporkkidney #threeflavoredchicken #sauteedloofahwithpreservedduckeggs #twicecookedpork #threeflavoredsquid #porkbellyandpreservednapacabbagesoup #threeflavoredbabysquid #deepfriedchickencartilagewithspicedpeppersalt #grilledtaiwanesesausageParking: More parking space at the back
