The new name is Bún Mắm Hà Tiên. The inside is remodeled some times back. Different menu.

They've now changed their name to something else now. "Bun Mam Ha Tien", I think? Just FYI. Same location, same owners, same yummy, delicious food at reasonable prices! Yum!

Excellent! Went here last night after reading the fantastic reviews. But be sure to follow the address. Seems the restaurant has changed names on the outside. Menu and quality appear exactly the same as the other reviews below. Will definitely make this a regular destination when I'm in the neighborhood.

I just came back from ordering Banh Xeo to- go today, the decorations for the restaurant is very modern and overall the place was very clean. The Banh Xeo was very tasty, but they didn't put much meats in the food where it was mostly bean sprouts inside the Banh Xeo. Don't get me wrong, I like eating bean sprouts and all it's just that Banh Xeo can be MORE delicious when you have generous portions of the meat. CASH ONLY!

excellent service. came back a few days ago with my best friend because i've been craving their specialty ( bun mam ) for days. i feel like if i answer to my cravings of this soup, i'd be coming back several times a week.... not too good for my diet or wallet. LOL! anyways, my best friend didn't find anything to her liking on their menu, so she decided to order bun bo hue at the hue restaurant next door while i ordered bum mam from here. that hue restaurant next door had a patio with tables and chairs for customers to dine, whereas this one didnt. my best friend and i decided it only made sense if we sat outside of the restaurant that provided the patio, since it'll be weird if we dined inside one of the two restaurants if we ordered separately like how we planned to. so, i asked the lady if she could bring the soup outside for me where i'd be sitting, and she happily did with a big ol' smile. it was great that she didn't give me any hint of attitude from my request. although it was a bit awkward to be served by her at the very same time the lady from the hue restaurant came out to serve my best friend, i felt pleased at the fact that my lady showed no aggravation towards me. kudos!

Ate lunch here cause I was craving some banh xeo. Although the crepe itself was crispy, I was disappointed because it was mostly bean sprouts with very little meat and shrimp. I'd give this place another chance but order something else next time. Service was lacking. We never got refills on our drinks...just cause its MSG free, don't mean we not thirsty!!

I have been trying so many Vietnamese restaurants for bun mam. I have to say that this place have the best Bun Mam around San Jose and San Francisco. Their bun mam was even better than bun mam in Lion plaza, grand century mall or Vung Tau - not to mention others. If you are a fan of Bun Mam then you should try it here. I wish they have more shrimps and bbq pork instead of fish though.

I've only been here for Bun Mam and it's so yummy. I wish they put more eggplant and less fish though. I think the Bun Mam is a little sweet and I need to try other places to compare but for now, I like this place. The waitress was really nice and helpful.

Finally, a Vietnamese restaurant that does not use MSG in their cooking! It has been so long since me or my family has left a restaurant without feeling bloated or a werid taste in our mouths because of the MSG. Though the menu selection is small, their quality and price more than enough makes up for it. The portions are just right, not too much and not too little. Don't be afraid to give this place a try!

i was craving banh canh and came here based on the reviews. the broth itself is decent, no msg is always a plus. and i guess i can't complain about the portion size when the price is $6 a bowl. but they use the short banh canh noodles, that were slightly over cooked. the ratio of noodle to soup was 1:3 with no meat whatsoever, just slivers of fish cake and a few shrimps. the ppl i came with were still hungry after our meal so we capped it off with some korean bbq.

I also tried thier banh xeo. it was okay kinda greasy for me. also tried the banh canh that was delicous. This place tastes so good. Try it you will like it. order the bun mam its my favorite at this place. I also took my friend. she liked it too. They dont use MSG here. Even though the restraunt next door was being shady telling me they do. Pshhh

First time I've ever tried the fermented fish/shrimp paste noodle soup (Bun Mam) and it's fantastic! I was told it is supposed to be an acquired taste, but I guess I like it at the first sip. And it is MSG free!

Small menu, good food and no MSG!! I especially love the banh canh and can never seem to order anything else. However, the the other specialty soups (bun mam, canh bun) are good too!

If my mom raves about a restaurant, it must be good. She was damn right. BUN MAM! So freakin good and I've been having huge cravings for it. Surprised this place isn't too busy. It's in the same strip mall as tapioca express across the street from target next to HUE. YUM YUM YUM!

YES! Bun mam! Oh, how I've missed you. Kien Giang has been closed for awhile and I don't venture out to Grand Century often so I'm glad there's another restaurant that serves this. And, I was pretty satisfied. My only two complaints are the lack of meat/fish/fillings and the pork they used. It seemed to be marinated or bbq-ed, which is not what I've been accustomed to when eating this dish. It's usually just plain, boiled pork. At $7 a pop, it's not bad at all. They just need to add more fish and meat to the dish. It was very sparse!
