TLDR: pretty good BBH! Would definitely recommend to friends and come again. We usually go to Hue for BBH, but we decided to give this newer (?) restaurant a shot. We don't live in SJ anymore, so this was a new place for us at least. Inside is clean and small. The wait staff was chill. So the food. It's good. My fiancee and I both ordered the BBH, mine just had the oxtail in it. We also got the #1 appetizer (I forgot what it's called). The soup itself is what you would expect from good BBH, but a little sweeter than Hue's. They gave a healthy amount of meat and the oxtail was soft and the meat fell off the bone. I really liked their BBH. The noodles were soft and chewy. The appetizer was also really good. They had a lot of shrimp powder on top which I really appreciate because I really like that flavor. Overall, this is a good restaurant and I wouldn't hesitate to come back when I find myself in SJ again.

The service was excellent. It's clean and bright inside, not dark like Hue across the street. Staff was very tentative and helpful in explaining difference between appetizers. Bun bo comparable to Hue, but it is far less crowded and therefore, has better customer service. Food was good. Would come back.

I'm a big fan of Bun Bo Hue , it's so good . Btw i also falling in love with Banh Beo and Banh Xeo it's was delicious. Fast service and clean . 10/10 would recommend coming and trying it out!!!!

The *best* Vietnamese food I've ever had! It was so good that my dining partner said she was going to cry--tears of joy, of course. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and made to order. All the things we ordered were excellent. The service was good, too. Second visit was not as amazing as the first, but maybe that's a hard standard to live up to. We still thoroughly enjoyed every bite of the delicious food we ordered. The chili oil is amazing--it has a light, citrus component that balances and complements the other flavors. We *will* come back!

Brought my parents here for brunch on a Sunday, and they greatly enjoyed their meals. To have my mom compliment their broth warrants a five-star rating in my book. The staff was super nice, especially to our baby. Upon being seated, our waitress was quick to bringing out a booster for our little one. The rest of the staff was nothing but smiles when she looked at them. My family of four each ordered an appetizer and main dish. They were so fast with making our food that we didn't have time to finish our bánh bèo quick enough to clear the table. We felt rushed to devour our appetizers to make space for our Bún bò Huế. We asked but they couldn't slow down making/bringing out our orders. This may be our favorite BBH spot now.

THE BBH IS PACKED HERE. Literally so much meat I couldn't even finish half on my own! The meat you see at the top is just the beginning. I was shocked finding more and more underneath! The plate of herbs were impressively fresh! The soup has a beautiful rich color and flavor, plus it's not too spicy. The service was kind and quick. Overall would be back!

Over a year later and I still love their BBH and mì quảng ! My dad lives in VN so he's so particular about BBH. He stopped liking the place across the street for years so I took him to try out Huynh when he came back to visit. Let me tell y'all. he kept asking to go back after 1 visit like I swear they saw us eating here 3-4 times in one week at one point. He also liked the bánh bèo and we even stopped by just to snack on bánh bèo. The nước mắm was a bit sweet but it's all personal preference. It's always clean when we dine in so definitely will always come back whenever I'm craving a nice hot bowl of BBH!

Restaurant with my last name? Got to try it. Bun Bo hue was good. Like good, but not amazing. Other places are better. Also went to bun thit noung more recently to go cause someone said they give you a lot of meat and it was good in the reviews. I beg to differ. The meat was a good amount but dry and tough to chew. Service is good, very nice folks and attentive. Wish the food was better.

Halfway into my bbh and I'm thinking should I bring half home? Somehow I always end up finishing the whole bowl. It's that good fellas. Today my wife and daughter ordered the shaking beef with garlic noodles. Let me tell you first that my youngest is the hardest to please. She says "I don't like it" before even trying. Today, she ate several cubes of tender beef with a side order of rice. I'm so pleased with this restaurant. You order these 2 dishes and you won't be disappointed.

This post is long overdue, but Huynh Dining is now my favorite spot to go to for bun bo hue in the Bay Area. The soup is so flavorful, not too oily, not too spicy, just the right amount of everything! Their appetizers are also so yummy, I dream of the next time I come back, not an exaggeration.The service is quick and polite! Although just keep in mind the hot tea is not complimentary.. bummer.
