I've been wanting to try Izumi and serendipitously found that it was in the same plaza I was grabbing lunch at so I figured I'd stop by.I ordered the Kuro Sesame Hojicha Latte drink and my sister bought a Cheese Mousse Matcha Tea. My sister said the matcha wasn't too sweet and the cheese was good so if you're into cheese tops, perhaps this could be up your alley.As for me, the hojicha latte had a lovely black sesame aroma and the hojicha flavor was earthy and not too overpowering....read full review
In general, their matcha drinks and ice cream are decent, better than most milk tea stores but not as good as I expect.This is what I've tried:- Matcha ice cream: very smooth and creamy. Has decent matcha flavor but not strong enough for me.- Cream mouse matcha latte: I added the extra matcha shot and boba too. Their normal sweetness is not overly sweet so I'm happy with that. As someone who loves matcha, I was super excited to dry the drinks and desserts here. So far, I have tried the lychee matcha, white peach matcha, honey hojicha latte, and the matcha soft serve. Everything was soooo yummy. The lychee matcha is my favorite out of the fruit matcha drinks. The honey hojicha was the perfect sweetness and earthiness.
