This place has been around forever. I think it's got to be over 40 years? I came here when I first moved to the Valley in 1977. At the time, the focus was hugely on Nagasaki Champon and not so much on other varieties of food. It was great if you like Champon, but for me I moved on. Fast forward to 2020, and I'm actually testing more and more restaurants for take out. I thought I would give this one a try again since it is still around. I figured they must have something going, and this was a great guess! I have come here twice, once for a "socially distanced dine in" and just today for a take out (that's all we can do right now because we are at super high Covid warning level purple - ultra violet? ...) Anyways, both times it was great! I had a Champon the first time, which was MUCH better than I rememebered. It was a lot of food and I had to take about half home for later. My mom loved her Saba (mackerel) bento. I tasted it and decided to have that the next time, which was today. I bought two and took them to my Mom's for our weekly lunch date. Big Hit! They had a special with 6 gyoza for 99¢! I ordered over the phone and my order was done on time and correctly when I arrived 20 minutes later. Super service. You walk up to the side entrance to the kitchen, which they have turned into a makeshift walk up window. To me, although they have decent tonkatsu and other dishes, the saba is really the king. It is as good as any I've had. Nicely grilled and crispy where it is supposed to be, and juicy/oily where it is supposed to be. Minimal bones to pick out (but there are just a few) and not super over salted like some places. Wonderful and at a great price ($13). You can see the value here by looking at my uploaded photo of the nicely packaged bento. So, don't wait, go help this institution stay an institution. It is value priced, great food, and they are nice folks!

No clear signage as the where you can place your order if haven't ordered ahead online and my simple order of a teriyaki donburi tasted so horrible that I had to throw it away. What teriyaki sauce is salty? Perhaps the cook mistook oyster sauce for teriyaki sauce? It was absolutely disgusting.

Good place for noodles. Before Covid19, the menu was full of noodle choices. Today, just a little after opening for dine in, the menu has been reduced to the "to go menu".Still an inexpensive place with some good noodle dishes. Can not go wrong with any choice.Service can be indifferent at times but never below average.

Great pick up experience today for dinner! Ringerhut's food is always very consistent and delicious. We ordered the Tonkotsu Curry Rice, Spicy Champon and a Teriyaki Bento Box along with the vegetable croquettes and Takiyoki! Honestly, everything was still hot and tasty when I brought it home. They packed all of the utensils and napkins without us asking. I really think this was a great experience and highly recommend this restaurant for Japanese comfort food. Their curry rice is definitely better tasting than the remaining curry places still opened (Demiya and Curry Life)! The only drawback was that the Tonkotsu was a bit small and had cartilage in each slice. But everything else was great!

My daughter ordered the fried chop with curry rice. And I got the teriyaki rice bowl for my little one. I'd say it had a nice fry on it, but no seasoning and meat was chewy. The curry flavor was okay. The teriyaki chicken was fine. Everything was just okay.
When you and your friends want Japanese good but one person wants sushi but another wants ramen. This place has everything! They had a makeover and it looks very nice :D Easy to find and great parking. Never had to wait for seating, they have a lot of tables so you can bring a whole group with you

Love Ringer Hut, been going there for years. Got to know some of the waiters and waitresses who always made us feel at home. The food is Fabulous always made to order rather you eat in or takeout. Love their new remodeling job. Check it out, you won't regret it. Peace

COVID-SAFE/OUTDOOR PICKUPTons of options for food - can get a variety of things such as noodle soups, ramen, teriyaki bento boxes and Japanese curry, and some sushi options.It's nice to have a place that offers a bigger menu during covid. When I picked up my food, employees make it very safe. Not a huge crowd and everything is picked up outside at the side entrance (super easy and convenient, with tons of parking). Also noticed employees wiping down any items after use. Really appreciate this restaurant taking all these precautions. Food is tasty and packaged very well. Would be back and highly recommend!

This restaurant is my preferable restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I love it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to this restaurant. everytime I feel like having a special dinner, this restaurant comes straight to my mind. good and diverse food and a large list of dishes.well mannered staff, and nice atmosphere. Not less important, the charge is affordable. I recommend this spot with no hesitation.

We have been coming here for many years kind of forgot about the place for awhile. Now we're going quite often to get takeout during the shelter in place. Take out worked out beautifully we thoroughly enjoy the spicy champon to go!!
