“I came across Doodlecakes in an Alameda Facebook group post, and I'm so glad I did! I asked Rebekah for a custom Skyline Chili cake for my friend's birthday, and was amazed to see she achieved EXACTLY what I was imagining! My friend was blown away when they saw it :)There were many tempting flavors for a custom cake! After hearing recommendations from Rebekah about what would work best for the design (she clearly knows what she's doing), I ordered a vanilla cake with a mix of vanilla/cream cheese frosting, and whipped cream filling with fresh strawberries and blueberries. The cake was absolutely delicious--everyone at the party raved about how it was moist with the perfect level of sweetness.Doodlecakes was very communicative about the delivery as well! I was texted about any delays, and called to ensure the cake made it to me safely after I asked a housemate to receive it for me.All in all, it was easy and a pleasure to work with Doodlecakes on a custom order. I paid $110 for my 6" custom cake + delivery + tax, and it was well worth it! I'll definitely be coming back to Doodlecakes and sending my friends their way for any custom cake needs :)“

“A cute cafe and bakery where you can swing by to get some freshly baked pastries or coffee. Service is friendly and the prices are really affordable for freshly baked food. I really enjoyed the banana bread. It was a thick slice of moist and not-too-sweet goodness. Would come back!“
“Owner was super friendly and gave me recommendations. I think she hand-makes everything herself Tried their traditional beef empanada and it was my first Chilean empanada so didn't know what to expect. It was AMAZING!! There was some egg, olive, and onion that accompanied a sweet,stewed ground beef. My friend got the barbacoa and it was delicious as well. I like how she warms it up for you in 5min, and gives some pico on the side that pairs well. She was sweet enough to warn me that it was spicy but I told her I love spice lol. Lots of seating inside, cant wait to come back and try other flavors!“
“Marla is an incredible baker ...The wedding cake was described by guests as 'the best I've ever tasted, even better than my own wedding cake!'She works with the customer to craft a delicious work of art, even baking a flavor that was not on the menu. Bottom was red velvet, middle was guava and the top was ube ... a fabulous purple color. Frosting was yummy, not excessively sweet. Perfect cake for a very special occasion!“
“This place is okay. The ube tres leches was unimpressive to be honest I wouldn't get that again. The flan ube cheesecake was a bit better I enjoyed the cheescake part but the ube was quite subtle and the flan was on the denser side which was fine. My favorite was definitely the fufflernoodle (i think that's what they called it haha). Best snickerdoodle I have had in a while! I will definitely be coming back just for those. Wish they had more drinks than just the milkshake. I do like their cupcakes from the food trucks!I didn't notice much of a menu when I entered, just some photos around the front which made it a bit confusing to know what they offered and if they were out of anything.“
“It was my Mom's 50th birthday and I was looking for a place that does photo cakes. I had 50 different pictures I wanted on the cake and that's when I came across Alice Street Bakery Café. I was skeptical if any bakery would take on such an order, especially on short notice (I had only 3 days to go for the birthday), but all my worries were put to ease as soon as I started talking to them. They made this process absolutely seamless as all I had to do was send them the pictures through WhatsApp. They found the perfect size for the cake, appropriately adjusted and cropped all the various sized pictures, arranged all the photos aesthetically, and even included a custom frosted birthday message which I sent in earlier. I was thrilled by their responsiveness and communication as they constantly kept me in the loop and were easy to reach when I had any concerns. The cake was finished exactly when they said it would, and when I went to pick it up, I couldn't stop smiling because it looked even better than advertised. The best part about it all was that my mom absolutely loved it and it made her day even more special. So a big thank you to Alice Street Bakery Cafe, and I cannot recommend them enough! TLDR: I ordered a 50 photo cake for my mom's 50th birthday, and Alice Street Bakery Cafe did a phenomenal job on a time crunch, all while being transparent and responsive with minimal effort on my end. They are awesome!“
“Support this (kinda hidden) local business! Very tasty cupcakes! It’s hard to find a good gluten free cupcake and their tiny chocolate cupcakes did not disappoint! The cheesecake frosting I stole from my bf’s regular cupcake was also very good. The cupcakes are kinda pricey, not something I’d buy all the time, but until my next visit: I’m going to be craving them for sure! Park around the corner by the school, San Pablo St doesn’t have much available.Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free and vegan options.“
“I don't frequent BR often but wanted to try the thanksgiving ice cream which is good by the way. Store wasn't busy. The server, Tymisha came out, spoke and said she'd be with me. Had a few good samples. She was able to answer my questions and multitask very well. I was impressed that she was able to handle a crisis with the management while still serving the customer. She was clear, concise and kind. Very considerate and communicative. Due to of her impressive service, I'll return. The store was clean and well organized.“

“Dennis, the owner, is awesome. Great selection of bakery pastries like scones, cinnamon rolls, etc. He also has freshly baked French bread and dinner rolls. I personally go there for some coffee and a breakfast croissant, along with some French bread for dinner. Prices are way more affordable than the lee’s next door. Glad to give small business owners like Dennis my business.“
