We visited San Luis Obispo for a few hours while staying in nearby Pismo Beach. Our intent was to shop, but when we saw this place, we figured it would be worth a visit for our ice cream fix. Once you walk in, you are greeted by the amazing smell of fresh baked cookies. While I was tempted to go with a whole ice cream sandwich made with one of those cookies, I wisely chose the half size. You can choose whatever cookie you want (I chose white chocolate macadamia nut), cut in half and then loaded with a generous amount of ice cream. I had both mint chocolate chip and moose tracks. My sister ordered the plain chocolate chip cookie with chocolate peanut butter ice cream. Both were amazingly tasty! Unless you're a really big eater, I'd say stick with the half sandwich. We had plenty to be satisfied until dinner! Highly recommend! P.S. The young guy in charge that day was on his own and couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant.

Ordered a cake and prepaid for my daughter's birthday on a Saturday to be ready the following Wednesday. Very disappointed because I drove from Los Osos to the Pismo location for pick up at 3 and when I got there the cookie cake wasn't even ready and they didn't even have the order in their iPad. Luckily I had a screenshot of the order and showed the workers. He said they could have the order ready in 1 1/2 hours possibly. I was in a rush and had a set schedule but could not wait. They never offered a free cookie or refund, they said they could have it the next day. I couldn't go that far the next day so, I requested the cake order to be sent to San Luis for the next day. The worker said he would call after I attempted to make sure the cake was ordered and ready at noon the next day. He reassured me that the order would be sent over. So not wanting to be without a cake a few hours late I contacted San Luis to confirm the order would be ready the next day at 12. She said she hadn't received any calls from the Pismo store but she took my order anyways. The next day I picked up the cake and the sad part is the girl said the chocolate chip cookie wasn't even good. After their mistake they should have attempted to make the situation better, but not one employee between both store offered any apologies.

The cookies are great and made even better with ice cream between them. My standard is chocolate chip with various ice creams depending on the selection that day. The woman at the counter was not very pleasant so we didn't order. We went back the next day and there was a friendly, helpful young man behind the counter. So we all ordered and enjoyed our treats on the back patio which is delightful.

Excellent service and delicious cookies and ice cream . SLO has quite a few sweet shops, each are unique in what they offer but ice cream in a cookie bowl was great.

We wanted to do something different than flowers for a family who experienced a loss but don't live in the area. I knew they liked these cookies. Was having trouble ordering shipping online so emailed them and they were so quick and helpful. Got a nice tin of individually wrapped cookies delivered to their house! Thank you Cowboy Cookies!
Def a good cookie and ice cream but a little too sweet for my taste. Recommend the white chocolate chip macadamia cookie bowl with pecan something or other ice cream. Will update if I remember the other ingredient.

Delicious and individually wrapped and tagged for type of cookie. You can call ahead, choose variety and pick up. I did 1 doz for a gift in a large tin. They packed it all up. Recipients lovvvvvvved their gift!

This place was excellent 15 years ago. It's not great anymore. The chocolate chip cookies were not even as good as store bought cookies. Maybe the cookies they sold us were old? Not sure but too bad. They use to be great but now I would not waste our money here again.

Low on cookies, staff didn't say hello when we walked in... because they weren't at the front of the shop. The cookie I tried left me wanting. (Snickerdoodle.) I found the cookie very dry.
