Being raised in Orange County, traveling to LA, SD and most recently Michoacan, MX; I think I have a pretty good grasp on the flavors of Mexican food. This place definitely has the flavors. Plus, since most food places seem to close early for some reason, this place stays open until midnight. The flavors were definitely on par with SoCal spots. The salsas were hand made, the food was fresh, and the food was quick. I ordered a carne asada burrito that probably weighed about a pound while my wife ordered carne asada quesadilla over flowing with meat!! The place itself was cozy inside, however they do have more than enough room on their outside deck to partaaaay! If you're in the SLO area drop by this place. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

I absolutely love this place. Their nachos are the best late night snack after a night of drinking. I'm from San Diego so my Mexican food standards are high. The staff is awesome and they handle the drunk crowd very well. Gregorio (the owner) is awesome and has even taken my overly intoxicated friends home after he closing. Would definitely recommend if you're tired of going to Taco Bell after downtown on Thursday - Sat.

Great little spot to grab some pretty quality Mexican food. The back patio is great and overlooks the creek. The food is quite good. I was pleasantly surprised at how fresh the guacamole tasted, almost like it had been made minutes prior to my meal. The burrito I had overall was very good. I ordered the car but as burrito and they were cooked perfectly, just a bit of crunch but super moist and full of flavor. Seems like a pretty good option for quality Mexican food in SLO.

The substance of the breakfast burritos we got at 1 am was amazing. Even if I was hitting my last stop on my night out, this place beats any late night eatery in south dowtown. Their pico de gallo was the perfect combination of lime juice and fresh ingredients. The salsa was tasty and not salty, which is sort of a litmus test for me to test Mexican eateries anywhere North of the border. The cashier was friendly and we spoke about Barbacoa while my order was being prepared. I would definitely go back to try some more entrees.

I had a late late night pollo asada burrito and fries. The line moved quick (it was like midnight and the place was filling quick), and the prices were great. The burrito was made fresh and well filled. plenty of goodies tucked and wrapped together. The fries were solid, and not your garden variety, they had some texture and skin which I liked. Decent little salsa bar, but this is not a spot I'd want to sit down and eat at, a bit too small for that. I'll come back here for a late night Mexican snack again for sure.

I've got to say these are the best tacos I've ever had. I've had carne asada, steak, chicken, and combinations. They are absolutely divine crisp meat but yet soft and savory the perfect combination of guacamole salsa and Seasonings. I get them with an extra crispy tortilla and I always try to stop at 2 servings but it never works. The owners are nice everybody needs to eat here. this place needs to succeed they don't have good signage up but it's catacorner to Sandy's liquor. And trust me I know Mexican food I've eaten at almost every Mexican restaurant in town and these guys are the best.

Mexican food after a night of drinking? Me thinks yes! We stumbled into this place on the walk back to the car. Open late and not busy yet, we ordered food to go. It all came out quickly too and they even had a salsa bar with a decent amount of choices for us to pack to go. The beef taco was a little bigger than your normal small street tacos, but the tortillas was a little on the flimsy side. Definitely needed to be crisped up more. Good thing, they put avocado on the tacos, yum!

Excellent authentic Mexican food! The best in the downtown area! Each time we have eaten here we have been impressed. The mole sauce on the burrito is amazing! All of the salsa in the salsa bar is very good too! The place is small and not fancy, however it seems to be clean. If you appreciate authentic Mexican food you will not be disappointed.
