I'm required to put at least one star but honestly, this location deserves not a single star. I love Panera and stupidly have given this location far too many chances to get it right. I know Panera is pricey so I would only go there for lunch (during work) like 1-2 times per month, but I've stopped going to this location because at least 90% of my orders have been wrong for the past couple years, no joke. The final straw was when I ordered a salad and added chicken to it, paying for the added chicken, and didn't get the chicken I paid extra for! I was very upset and vowed to never return there. It's been about six months and I see that things have not gotten better so I will continue with my boycott of this location until things change. Not sure what has to change but something definitely MUST change or that location will be out of business before long.

Today while in line the cashier told the customer in front of me there was no soup it wasn't heated up yet. Knowing that, I ordered half sandwich and half salad. After I paid $14.08, I was told by the rude woman making the food there wasn't any salad dressing made for my salad and if I want another one. I asked how long it would take to make and she was so rude telling me she has to put everything in the blender to make a whole batch. WTF, it's 11:00 on Saturday don't they prep? I had already given this place another chance after having my salad served in a dirty bowl (pre-covid). I won't spend my money at a business with employees with the WORST customer service. Done.

NEVER AGAIN. Before starting my meal, I went to the bathroom to wash my hand. The soap dispenser was empty so I went to the counter to tell an employee and ask if they could replace it and they literally told me that they were too busy. DEADLY VIRUS KILLING PEOPLE WHO DONT WASH THEIR HANDS AND THEY CANT BE BOTHERED TO PROVIDE SOAP?! Additionally the "manager" told me "she didn't need my attitude so get the f out of the store" because they forgot to put salad dressing on my salad and I raised my voice to be louder than the blender in the background so she could hear me. We're all allowed a bad day every once in awhile- but when you're in customer service and food service - none of this should be allowed- particularly by the leader of the store.

An absolute joke! My $10 chicken sandwich barely had any chicken ( it looked like the scraps leftover from the slicer), a slice of tomato and stale bread. My wife's was just as bad, but she ate hers. Good luck Panera!

I stopped here for a late lunch on Sunday around 2:30. I ordered my favorite sandwich, Napa Almond Chicken Salad. The menu board read $7.79 for the sandwich. When I received my receipt I noticed that Larissa had charged me $8.79. When I brought it to her attention she said there was nothing she could do about it since the board pricing had not been updated and she was unable to correct the price on her computer. When I again requested that she honor the board price she became belligerent and took a dollar bill from the tip basket and almost thru it at me. I know from past experiences enjoying lunch at Panera that this is not the way they treat their customers. I encourage management to have a talk with Larissa about her attitude or I will not be returning to the San Luis Obispo location. Also suggest that the board pricing reflect the computer charge to eliminate future confusion. By the way, the sandwich was yummy, as usual! Thank you

I will never eat here again. They were out of baguette bread and their replacement literally was a couple pieces of what looked like wonder bread. They really went to Ralph's and charged all that money with a replacement from Ralph's. Upper management is doing a horrible job at this location and I'm debating on never eating at another Panera again.

Kudos to Panera for dealing with a Karen that refused to wear a mask. She was all pissy and thought that she didn't have to wear a mask because she was pregnant. Was acting all rude. They politely asked her to wait outside for her order. Go Panera!

If I could only give zero stars, I would! Very mean staff! Lady (staff) was on her phone the whole time... I asked for her name, she refused to give me her name. After standing waiting for my food for 10 minutes she kicked out this pregnant lady who was standing behind me, all because the pregnant woman didn't wear a mask. That mean lady (Panera staff) wasn't properly wearing her mask her nose was out. Made the pregnant lady cry and didn't apologize for her behavior. Made me so mad the wat she was treating pregnant lady. I got HR phone number going to make a huge complaint!

4pm on a Friday, I patiently wait 8 minutes for a single frozen mocha cold brew. When asked if my order is almost ready, the workers say "oh let me check on that for you". then 2 of the workers begin to talk and someone FINALLY STARTS to make my order. 13 minutes later i finally have my drink. SUCH HORRIBLE SERVICE! this is by FAR the WORST panera i have ever been too! in my 12 years of being a loyal Panera customer, i never thought i would write a review like this!

Rude staff. Food was so so. Even the outdoor seating was closed so I had to sit on the ground.

BEST VANILLA CINNAMON ROLLS & PECAN TWISTS EVER!!But the service is far from good. And they are ALWAYS out of stuff. Even at 9am!

The woman taking our order was wonderful! She got everything we wanted and even described menu items to us. The other woman that put our food together, had mislabeled the sandwiches so I unknowingly gave mine to someone else and then couldn't eat the one mislabeled.

I love their Tomato soup. I ordered the chicken sandwich with avocado. It was delicious.

Sad excuse for a Panera Bread. Corporate needs to come rehire management at this location.

With SO many horrible reviews, that ARE unfortunately true.. I'm surprised that this District Managers haven't come in and done an overhaul. Management here is nice but .... The night in question, I came in about 15 minutes before this location closed. I was behind a man who knew the manager from elsewhere. Cool, huh. Naw. Not when you're behind him and he's slowing down the Conga line. I was ONLY in to get an Iced Coffee. That's it! I got out of there at 7 minutes AFTER the hour. I stood watching and getting eye contact with other employee's who would look away and keep on walking. At one point there was 3 other employee's that had joined into this conversation with the customer and manager.. before me. I was LIVID! I many times thought to cancel my order and drive 20 minutes south to Arroyo Grande to get the coffee. But sucked it up. I wanted my coffee!! The female at the register, who had too much time on her hands.. decided to put together my iced coffee. To which I really almost refused. She had just finished ringing a man up and moved straight over to handling (without washing her hands and without gloves) the cup and top to the cup. She poured the coffee, and had to ask "do we sell creamer"? Really! I was told "No!" they were out of creamer. This is a "coffee shop", how can you be out of Half n Half... I've never gone anywhere that was SO empty of customers for JUST an Iced Coffee... to have to wait while almost every employee decided to get back to work... to pour a cup of coffee. The one who did, mishandled my cup with nasty money tainted fingers! And didn't know how to pour a simple cup of coffee let alone if the establishment carried creamer. WOW! Do yourself a favor go to Peets or take the 20 minute coastal cruise and hit the Panera In AG! THEY are SO friendly there! And FAST! The young men who work the drive thru are SO POLITE! The SLO location is a hit n miss.. Every time I am there I have watched scenes of cold orders, or messed up orders, SLOW is the motto here.. no urgency to the "getter in an Out". Maybe all the issues they're having is due to the fact they're always hiring. If the establishment doesn't have proper management, they'll not keep a good associate for long. Maybe the manager is not qualified to run this stop. I don't know. He's nice, but nice doesn't make a successful business. Especially, when your too busy bumpin yo'gums - rather than getting the orders out. Customers taken care of.. I know he saw me and the men behind me. But he continued chattin away. Sorry I hit a tangent every time I remember that night. The 1st visit, was well GREAT! Every visit after has been a kick in the pants. It's NOT Panera. It's the way the location in SLO is ran that effects the reviews here and the service there. CORPORATE NEEDS TO GET INVOLVED!!
