I am a DoorDasher. Almost every time that I come to pick up a large order the restaurant always takes about 30 min to an hour to prepare the food. Today I picked up an order for a customer and I waited almost 1 hour. They first told me it was going to be ready in no more than 15 minutes. This happens very often. They should be honest about the wait time. I make money per order not per hour like normal workers do. I miss out on the whole lunch rush waiting for the bonchon order. They should be more honest about the wait so that some other dasher can come later to pick it up.

Half and half fried chicken had little to no flavor. Anything other than that was alright.

The Korean fried chicken is very crunchy and tasty. Wish they expand their sauce selections.

The only thing I haven't tried was their chicken wings, but all the other Korean food is horrible. It's not worth it if you try anything else but the wings; it's awful, awful taste, and I'm a big fan of Korean food. I've been to Korea many times, and that's not Korean food.

The chicken is delicious but they ought to reconsider their to go boxes because it's so flimsy and didn't hold up good.

Bonchon Korean fried chicken in San Mateo is a fantastic dining experience. The first thing that struck me upon entering the restaurant was how clean and well-maintained it is. The staff is incredibly friendly and provides top-notch service, making you feel warmly welcomed from the moment you step inside. Now, let's talk about the food. The Korean fried chicken at Bonchon is truly outstanding. Each piece is perfectly cooked, with a crispy and flavorful exterior that gives way to tender and juicy meat inside. The chicken is coated in a delectable sauce that adds an extra layer of flavor and makes each bite truly irresistible. Whether you prefer a spicy kick or a sweeter glaze, Bonchonnnnn has a variety of options to satisfy every palate.Aside from the mouthwatering chicken, Bonchon also offers a range of delicious sides and appetizers. From their addictive kimchi to their flavorful rice dishes, every item on the menu is crafted with care and attention to detail. Popular little spot in San Mateo near the Century Cinema. Ordered the delicious Fried Rice, Combo Crispy Soy Garlic Fried Chicken and Chicken Sliders with Cole Slaw and seasoned French Fries.

One of the better chicken spots in San Mateo. Anything I've ordered from Bonchon, I have enjoyed. The fried rice always is good as well as the dumplings and bulgogi. The star is obviously the chicken. I've had it as a regular wing, chicken tender or boneless wings and each time it's amazing. The soy garlic sauce is so addicting. I enjoy the lunch bowl you can order, it's a good size with some chicken, rice and vegetables.

I used to like it NOT ANYMORE. I understand that with current inflation prices need to go up But!! the lunch I had today was unbelievable.2 Pork buns. tasted good but the pork in the bun was 1 inch by 1 inch,They used to give you a choice of sides for the "meal" now they want extra $ for fries. I wont go back The workers were ok for what they do.

Hands down best fried chicken in the Peninsula. If you’re feeling adventurous, also try Ttokbokki. It’s spicy but worth it. Food hack: dip your fried chicken in the spicy sauce of ttokbokki and you’re in heaven.

I was walkind down b street with quite an appetite when I noticed this place and realized ive never been inside Bonchon. I stepped inside and was instantly greeted by the loveliest lady and once she saw I was a little "green to the scene" she recommended a combo meal mixed with checken drums and wings and she recommended the half and half for flavors and let me tell you! Delicious! Absolutely delicious chicken here at Bonchon. I will definately be coming back and the lady who attended me was the sweetest person ive met in a while. I did not get her name but she was a little older and told me the restaurant had been there for 8 years so im assuming shes been there a while. She deserves a raise!
