Have been here twice but the in-laws and wife have been frequenting Celia's for decades. While the service is excellent, the quality of the food is extremely lacking. For starters, the chips seemed old and were both chewy and hard to eat. American cheese was used on top of the refried beans and a so called chille rellano was unrecognizable as such as it was made with a chunk of jack cheese with 3 small slices of pepper wrapped in an egg tortilla? Love, love, love. I've been eating here for about 20 years and love that the servers recognize me. The salsa is perfectly picante, the shredded beef enchiladas delicious (although I always have to ask for light cheese). I also like their sopes (sopitos on the menu). The atmosphere takes me back to my childhood, with booths, great decor (especially at Xmas), and dim lighting.
