“I've been coming here for the chef salad for the past 4 years. They're always consistent in making me a fantastic plate! All the ingredients are fresh, crisp and well prepared. The staff is both polite and helpful. As a bonus, it smells wonderful inside, similar to Jamba Juice. Great place! Their waters are just what I need on a hot day.“

“Ice cream parlor with Mexican cultural flavorings and an Art house? Color me intrigued. I have come here several times and the only time I am disappointed is when I miss it by a couple hours. When you walk in and hop in line, take a look at the menu on the wall. There are a lot of interesting creations on there and one of my new favorite toppings, the spicy crickets. They allow for samples, which always surprises me that some places don't. The avocado and pistachio ice cream is surprisingly one of my favorite flavors. They were do some interesting variety of flavors, marzipan, elote, strawberry and some coffee mixed one. They have a variety of toppings and can make cones if that is your speed. I got the pistachio and avocado flavor and asked for the chupalinos(spicy crickets). I think they rotate some of their flavors because one of my old pictures shows just a pistachio ice cream but they definitely had avocado and pistachio ice cream the last time I was there. They take card and instead of leaving if you turn to your left if you are facing the cashier they have art leading back to an art gallery in the back. The art is for sale and they have a lot of interesting and cool pieces hanging up. Maybe you see something you like or want to support a local artist. I love this place and it shows a uniqueness that makes it a place that I talk about to all my friends who love ice cream.“

“One of my favorite gelato store in San Diego, Nado Gelato offers a wide selection of gelato flavors ranging from chocolate to tart flavors like berry & lemon. I personally love all the italian flavors (panna cotta, amaretto and stracciatella) but my personal favorite is the opera (which taste like nutella milk ice cream with bits of hazelnut!) Parking can be a bit of a hassle on the weekends but I like to walk around Coronado before treating myself to a small/kid size gelato at Nado. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and the service is always friendly & quick. Parking: Street parking Price: $ Recommendation: Opera & Amaretto They do offer coffee but I personally haven't tried it so this review is solely based on their delicious, creamy gelato!“

“My partner and I went in around a quarter after 8AM on a Saturday. There was a small line, and it was out the door, but we did not wait long. Firstly, I just want to say the the service was great. The ladies behind the counter were very attentive and really friendly. Absolutely all smiles. The seating area was decently sized and you can fit in a few people if you just want to stay inside and have your breakfast. We opted for the croissant sandwiches, number 3 to be exact. We weren't expecting them to be huge, but be warned, they are! You can easily split half if you aren't keen on a big sandwich. It was delicious and well worth it. I think we will try the same one next time, but with bacon. We also got a delicious Vietnamese coffee and it was sweet and strong! If you aren't used to it, just a heads up. We did purchase half a dozen donuts prior to this day, and it was all delicious. They even threw in a few extra donut holes! Definitely will have to try the other variety of donuts they have. Quite a selection including massive donuts! This was honestly a great place and we'll be purchasing donuts from here all the time!“

“!! Cash only!! Delicious ice cream with unique flavors! The ice cream was light, flavorful, and not too sweet. More on the icy side than the creamy side as Mexican ice cream tends to be (compared to American). I got two scoops for $6. Guava has strong flavor. It was much sweeter than the rice pudding which I preferred. Rice pudding even had flakes on cinnamon in it. On a Sunday afternoon, no line but there were other customers. The singular person working behind the counter was very friendly and gave us samples to try. There are two small tables outside, none inside.“

“Just want to shout out the 3 girls that were working today for the Crumbl Turns 6 Birthday. I had to wait 30-40 minutes for my cookies since they kept getting sold out. These women crushed it the whole time I was waiting. Customer service was amazing. They kept a positive attitude through the whole time people were a bit bothered that cookies were getting sold out and couldn’t full fill some orders. Management should of known to double their staff for this event. Give these girls a raise or a paid day off please. The way they handled all their customers has to be recognized. Amazing work girls!! “Located on the strip. Cute spot with a diner feel. It was perfect after being on the beach with the kids. They had a variety of ice cream, soda pop, and treats like cookies and donuts. I got the sundae with 3 flavors, brownie batter, coffee and banana Nutella. It was covered with fudge, nuts, whip cream and 3 cherries. It was perfect! The service was great, the made sure the line got down quick by helping each other with customer. We had a large order and they on it! I recommend this spot!“

“I enjoyed the sea salt caramel ice cream. I don't like that they don't do samples, even a 2 or 3 sample minimum per person would be good. For that, I saw go to Salt & Straw instead. Handel's has big portions even for a small, so it's difficult to try a new flavor without being wasteful.“

I inquired about their catering and very helpful in navigating the information on the website. The establishment provides various catering packages for either delivery or pick up. I can’t wait to place my order for an upcoming birthday celebration.“

“Take-out review 2/24 Had the chance to try their yummy desserts at a family dinner. The cheesecake was SOOO good! Light, fluffy, slightly sweet (as most Asian desserts are). Priced around $19, which is actually reasonable compared to most dessert/pie/cake equivalents. Japanese desserts feel light, so even after a hearty meal, you still want it! Also tried the matcha tiramisu. Sorry no photo. It was gone before I could snap a photo. This was a bit pricey at $14 for a small round. Considering the price of matcha though, the price really is warranted. Strong slightly bitter matcha flavor. Lucious creamy filling. Not overly sweet. It was a bit out of the way for them to pick up. However, who else but family is worth it? Right?“

“I’ll start off my review with saying great customer service . It shows the owner has put in a lot much of his/her time to train their employees properly . Every time I walk in I am always greeted and never rushed when ordering . I personally love there fruit waters and making my own chip bowl. All prices are decent and affordable so they fit everyones budget . It can get busy from time to time but totally worth the wait . “A legendary San Diego area ice cream shop that I finally got to stop by yesterday and wow was I impressed! It's a little tucked away hidden gem in National City that serves delicious ice cream made daily with quality ingredients and with many unique flavors! The lady serving me was so friendly and told me about how their ice cream was made and how they developed flavors back in the day after talking with sailors coming back from deployment. I ended up getting 2 scoops with my flavor choices being Honey Bourbon Fig & Sweet Cream Peanut Butter. The ice cream here is amazing and my 2 scoops were delicious! The honey bourbon fig was quite interesting and a great flavor combination that I would order again and my favorite of the 2 but sweet cream peanut butter was also tasty with a good amount of peanut butter mixed in! This shop easily gets a 5/5 recommendation from me and you should definitely stop by to get ice cream here and it's easy to grab and go or you can even get a half gallon container if you want to take some home!“

“The perfect milkshake! The chocolate peanut ice cream was the best I've had. A lot of places either don't have enough chocolate flavor or enough peanut butter. This was the perfect ratio! It wasn't too thick or too thin. Plenty of flavor options too.“

“Oh my freaking goodness! This place is amazing! There are so many things to choose from. We were headed to a drive-in movie, otherwise I would've bought some paletas to take home. There was only one person working behind the counter, so service was a little slow (totally understandable though, plus the snowballs are custom made for you), but the staff was friendly and very patient.I ended up getting an ube snowball w/ lychee ice cream & condensed milk on top. I was pregnant at the time, so it was definitely enough to fill me up. I still dream about it to this day, the flavors were on point and it was just so delicious. Next time I go back I need to get a bunch of paletas -- which you can customize as well.“

“Absolutely love the ice cream here. I'm a huge chocolate fan, so the Chocoholic Chunk is my fave! My sons love the Graham Central Station. Only thing is that it's pricey. We usually get one pint of each to go, and it runs about $20. But since the flavors are unique, I don't mind it once in a while.“

“Fantastic place to get Ice Cream. I would recommend their Fruiti Pop milk-based ice creams. They have a ton of flavors - the Cookies and Cream one is delicious. The prices here are also amazing, $8 for 12. It might be a bit tricky to find, you have to walk down a driveway on the corner of the block before you'll see it. It looks very run down, but the owners are very nice. They don't speak too much English but enough to make a transaction. Absolutely amazing ice cream 10/10.“

“So happy Nekter is here in my neighborhood! My favorite smoothie shop who uses completely fresh ingredients and non artificial sugars. I've ordered smoothies and also bowls from here and they are generous with the fruit content. Everything tastes amazing and healthy. Their online ordering system is also very easy if you want to do carry out/pickup without dealing with the register.“

“Amazing Boba place! Their drinks are quality here. We got the Matcha tea latte, and the strawberry lemonade with mango stars and they were both so delicious and refreshing! There is a small parking lot and parking is not an issue. We found parking right away. Customer Service was great! Definitely will be coming back here to enjoy and try the rest of their drink items. “The ice cream is delicious! I was able to sample several flavors, all of them tasty. I got a double scoop of Gansito. It was so nostalgic and delicious! Did anyone else put your Gansitos in the freezer? (A Gansito is "a strawberry-flavored jelly and crème-filled cake with chocolate-flavored coating.", for those that don't know) I was welcomed with warmth and so much patience. I wish I lived closer and I would be a regular. If you are anywhere near here and need a treat, it is worth it!“

“Amazing customer service! We wandered in 5 min before closing and the guy still let me ask tons of questions and let me try all the options I wasn't familiar with. Everything was so tasty!! We ended up ordering the Canastita Michoacána. You get 3 scoops of your choice of (only Lord knows how many) wonderfully delicious flavors of ice cream. I chose Guanabana, passion fruit and mango. 2 choices of fruit topping, I chose papaya and mango. Topped with whipped cream and strawberry syrup in a waffle bowl . Everything tastes so heavenly! Of course you may encounter some seeds depending on what you order, but that's how you know you are eating REAL fruit! The store has a cute ambiance and there is plenty of seating for those who want to dine in. Do yourself a favor this summer and stop by when you get a chance! You will not be disappointed!“

The mom and pop were friendly, and I hope they are well. Tell them hello from the boat lady. I had to sell the boat and move to RB; I miss their delicious ice cream and bars.
